Duke, My point in regards to the conference was that it doesnt take years to organize, execute a conference, thus building approval and establishing peace should be at the forefront, and frankly you can not achieve that with this administration. Because so far there is no peace in Somalia and whatever achievements they made to come closer to it, really does not count, since at the end is was not and still is not achieved nor is it close to it. And as far as reconciliation goes at this point is hasn't been been fully proven in the sense that things have not changed for the better for the citizens. But hey, I suppose you might be aware of something that I am not.

Having peace conferences with different clan members is a good step but does it really take that long to organize peace conferences? My point here is that, this government hasnt put the main issue at hand on his agenda. Which is getting the approval of the citizens, you know the displaced ones. Instead wasting time with ceremonial activities and appointing men that Somalia could profit from isnt the route to bring peace home. Dont get me wrong I dont expect citizens to sudendly leave in peace because this government decided to acknowledge their needs, but the least I expect is that you or any believer in this administration would admit when certain things are beyond trivial. Really whatever credit you have installed in this government is a fluke dear Duke. Then again Rome really wasnt built in a day.

Duke, I understand that a position as such isnt simply given out to extend diplomatic ties. However demonstrating credibility in other nations and motivating them to support this government by showing abroad that its indeed strong actually strips the same government from the much needed acceptance and respect it wants from the somali citizens. I could be wrong but rather then searching approval abroad I would clean my backyard first. Or is displacement from the same citizens that this government want so called peace for isnt as important as allies approval abroad? Just a question

Duke, As you said if the man was such a great figure as head of the police, what is the purpose of sending him abroad? Wouldnt you say that a man with such qualities is much needed in our country? After all diplomacy at this level entails useless ceremonial acts which is usually performed by not only a person able to properly represent the country but one that is dispensable. Somalia needs people who can help built this peace everyone says they want. So then why send someone like him to Tanzania? Is there really some kind of urgency in establishing diplomatic ties when we have no peace? Or is it that thousands of displaced somalis can wait while an educated, respectful individual can make the rounds of important diplomatic missions. Pardon my sarcasm but really, is that what you are saying?

Emperor, What makes you think that sending foreign "aid" will help the peace process in Somalia? Really, do you believe that sending more troops at this point will make things better, regardless of whether they happen to be muslims or not?

What has the man done to receive this position? Can someone please tell me the criterias to be nominated for such an appointment? Is this really beneficial to the Somali people? And is it really time to appoint ambassadors with other countries when our country isnt even at peace?
