Caamir, The first thing wrong with your comment is saying that the TFG is doing all they can. Wrong indeed walaal. If that was the case we would not be in this poor situation 3 years after this administration hijacked the government position. Second, there is an alternative to the TFg. When the TFG took the government position, had they put effort in installing a democratic election system instead of forcingly holding on to the seat of presidency, perhaps the average Somali citizen wouldn't despise them. Furthermore, fighting insurgents back, isn't an excuse to invite the United States or Ethiopia to turn Somalia into their personal toilet. This so-called government had a responsability to uplift our people, instead it focused on fighting insurgents until the end and making nasty deals to further its own personal interest. Also, this is not our last hope, if it was, then we are doomed. Saying such comments is a weak point and a useless propaganda tool. As far as experts who are they, the UN (who has not helped us, or the US who is harming us today like it did back with Siad) Keep in mind Walaal that only a few want us to excel and rise up as a country. Thus certain media outlets will vomit whatever seems right to them. Last, about the secessionists, the destabalization of Somalia is too much of an important tragedy to prevent that their attempts can not get to us. However I will say that occupying ourselves with a few that fed some groups a distorted version of our history should not be our main concern right now, Somalia is way too important for that. By the way notice how I did not call you Camraan, so the name is Lois Lane my dear not Louis

Ameen, However for the northern part, may it not only prosper but may it become a member of Somalia in it own right Ameen! See walaal we agree on few things if we try. It only took us a couple of hours

Spadez, Im running out of facts, I mean do you know what the term means, must I draw something. Please dont ask me that, im no artist. As for the poor quote of JFK, I have done for my country and frankly still will whether its raising money for Hargeisa or a protest to oust the ethiopian troops from Mogadishu. See thats the difference between you and I, to me the whole place is my country. But my point is for the millionth time its not the responsability for a diaspora citizen to collect funds to built roads so that drivers dont die on dangerous roads. Its not for a diaspora citizen to collect money for hospitals so that people dont die of petty disease such a tubercolosis. Why would you then elect anyone if everyone does for themselves. Lastly I just showed you a fact that the president of the make-belief country as in fact actively sought out investors and international help to invest in electricity in Hargeisa and invest in the Berbera port. There is a port in Zeila FYI, its historically more valued then the Berbera one, so what about investing in Zeila. As for awdal, waiting for the help from Hargeisa has been long given up on. Awdal does what it can on its own, becoming the intellectual hub that it is today, thanks to its citizens and friends. And if honesty is what you want walaal, the only feeling that I have is hope, for a better Somalia.

lol Nephthys, These men keep talking about feelings but im giving them enough facts, I assume my gender is automatically associated with feelings unless we are speaking of what to cook for men..geez! I love the picture by the way walaal

^Count me out my dearest, I will be right here fighting for my country. And for your information if every group thought like you trust me the north would never be where it is today. Since the Somalis within the Norh failed alot of its neighbors who today decided to put things behind them for the sake of peace. Thats what those that truly believe and love democracy and freedom do. They learn from the lessons of the past and move towards a better futur.
-
Visit this website:www.somalilandgov.com its the actual government site of your so-called country. The help that the sool region received and the the investment towards the progress of the berbera port as if it was the only port in the north And the investment to provide electricity from Hargeisa to Berbera is just unfair treatment for the rest of the region. The above link will give you just a few FACTS no FEELINGS. FACTS for at least 2 years. Geez how often must I repeat this, you must be one emotional brother. Again lets be clear my point here is that while a government that helps its citizens is GREAT, its important to fairly spread the help. After all taxes are paid by all.
-
Ya im sure, However your presidential elections aren't mine.
-
Spadez, Contrary to what you choose to believe, the make-shift government of your so-called country has indeed helped certain cities more then others. That is a fact. As for my feelings, so far I haven't spoken about them, but I assume because I am a woman talking about politics that you are against, it must be feelings rather then fact. And here I was assuming that you walaal had some sense.
-
Spadez, Good old men. So now im a hi-jacker of threads. okay whatever you say. I assume your right, sol is not the answer, I look forward to voting for my regional and national candidates incha Allah when peace comes in a better form.

^^ I can't have something against a government that does not exist. A government has a direct connection to the prosper of its citizens. My point simply here is that this so-called country only represents the well-being and thus the progress of a few chosen cities. Furthermore its not for the diaspora to lobby, fund, install and keep up a city its for the elected government to do so. You speak of elections and proper battle, but all for what? If you elect a government then that government must built the infrastructure of its cities. So far some city dont even have roads, theres so much the diaspora can do. Stop supporting and entity that is not fairly helping the citizens. Your only harming those you claim to love.

Suldaanka, You may rejoice on the despair of Somalis, thats your choice. Theres nothing I can do for you on that matter, as far as waking up a long dead Somalia, Dream on walaal. Then again you might be familiar with dreams and wishes since you support an illutionist entity. Spadez, I am a lady, a dignified one at that matter, and myself respect does not lie within your hands, get off your high horse. Also I dont need you to do anything for me. Haven't you hear its 2008, I can do anything I need for myself. I dont need to dig up old posts, google is a neutral source of information, so thus far no flags high unless they were low on the grounds. And as far as leaving this point I believe I said it ealier this is a pointless discussion since you chose to stick to something thats non-existent. So why not stop dreaming, wake up and smell the shaah

The 2 universities in awdal?? you mean the college and the university? Anyways do not make any mistakes here dear, Amoud university was not helped by this so-called prosperous government. I visited the university along with diaspora members who funded the university. Theres is nothing that this government of yours did for them. They reached that level all on their own, and many funders were true nationalist. And thats a fact, not a feeling nor an opinion.

Spadez, I love my Somalia, and by loving my Somalia I am against anything that will harm it. Im against ethiopian invasion, a self-seeking administration that calls other countries to Bombard Somalia, but I am also against any internal destruction of Somalia. Breaking my country in pieces affects me and indeed will bother me. And this story line you speak of is quite short, but as you already noticed you can't change my mind and perhaps I wont be able to change yours. Also just like you I have visited many cities in the north and never have seen this flag you speak of, besides Hargeisa. And just for the sake of argument I actually googled couple of cities in the north I saw beautiful pictures of business and buildings, yet not flag, perhaps they were washing it that day. Last Im happy to hear you sleep fine and I will protest and incha Allah get back to my country and take part of the regional votes in the north and the national votes in Somalia
-
Im the one with an open mind, your the one that needs to broaden your horizins bro:) And whether those ruins are mosque or only museums, still its a fact that Zeila is nothing compared to Hargeisa in terms of progress thanks to the lack of help by your so-called administration. My dearest once again im proving my point that the country seems to be only one city.

8th March 2008: Mogadishu new PICS: Who is in control?
Lois Lane replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Duke, The Northern self declared country also has women in their parliament. Althought I am against any kind of seperation of my country, this placing women in certain parliamentary position isnt unique to your administration. However I certainly agree with giving women more power in politics, as I believe they can do great things for a better Somalia. In regards to your mother being a single mother, it takes great women to raise children alone period. However walaal this government while seeking to restore institutions and what have you, is failing miserably the backbone of its society, namely women. You can not support a government who foolishly brings a historical ennemy of Somalia to bombard the country. Whatever the reason may be. I believe the only way we will succeed is if this excuse of a man steps down and welcomes a transparent election. Heck let it be anyone, but certainly not him. He has done only harm. -
Spadez, While I do not need your friendly advice at this time, let me give you mine. Try your had at comedy, really you are one hilarious fellow. In regards to needing to focus on the topic at hand; you brought up Somaliland while only speaking of the progress of Hargeisa, which I called you on. Also im no Ms Cleo, perhaps you might of called her a few too many yourself because I never said anything about not loving my country. Yes you found that somewhere but I really dont know where. I am a nationalist and patriotist at heart my dear. And last I checked I never brought no ethiopians anywhere. And stop lying what city have you been to, why generalise so much? And yes indeed you are seeking the acknowledgement of your so-called country. Otherwise me and you would not have this discussion. But right now you so-called country is a northern territory of Somaliweyn. Last, this 5 percent is getting old inaabti. But whatever helps you sleep better:)

Lois Lane replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Duke, If this admin cared about the Somali society, in this case women whom you say are the backbone of our society, (spoken like a true politician might I say) what does foolish and useless parade do for them. Besides installing a false sense of order and peace. And speaking of peace, what kind of administration stays mum after the bombing of its citizens by another country? Im speaking of the recent united states bombings. Lastly, if this poor excuse of a man ever wins another term this will be a clear demonstration of the fall of our beloved Somalia. -
^^ The first 50-70 are only about Hargeisa and as a matter of a fact theres more pictures about london then Somali cities. Also the few of Zeila are ruins compared to the many prosperous pictures of Hargeisa which prove my point that only a hanful of cities are the chosen ones. I simply would like for all of Somalia to prosper is that really a bad thing Spadez?
-
^^The man is speaking about the whole of this so-called country of yours, why is it that Hargeisa is the only city your praise. Is it because as the "capital" only that city receives the help it needs and the rest must fend for themselves? Word to the wise, rename your so-called country to Hargeisaland, this would make so much more sense.
-
Spadez, Your hilarious, let me say that first. I brought up the Hargeisa issue because its something that happens the majority of the time, whenever your wishful country comes up, Hargeisa is the onnly city praised. Secondly, Im glad that our people cherish their country. In regards to their existence not only do I value that, I rather speak the truth. Rather then picking, choosing and fabricating historical facts to give credit to an internal hate that I have. I rather help my people advance and become part of a modern society instead of feeding them separatist lies which in return will divide them and make them weaker. About the islam point, you went there I simply replied to your comment about the North's blood being more precious then others. In that regards, it contradicts our teachings as muslims. Also, yes indeed walaal, you are seeking something, since you do NOT have a country today. In your dreams you might, in your psyche perhaps but in reality, certainly NOT! Additionaly. im glad to hear that you wish the best to Mogadishu (you are better then some seperatist I met:) Last, I certainly do not represent 5 percent (lol I dont even know where you got that number, perhaps its another wishful thinking of yours)

Lois Lane replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Duke, If this administration really cared about the fate of women, then why in the world do they only show the two that are fattened by their connections? What about all the rest that are in camps outside of the cities or dying thanks to the recent bombings of the US. Seriously, talk about diversion! By the way this is nothing to be proud of adeer, rather its extremely sickening. -
Spadez, I never said I decide the fate of the people of the North of Somalia, however I say it like I see it. Take it or leave it ,its up to you.And no I do not represent the 5 percent a represent a GREAT amount of northern citizens who really dont buy this seperatist illutionist propaganda. I also dont believe that any blood is more precious then another since Islam does not put one muslim above another, its just plain and simple commonsence and also its Islam 101. You might want to enrol. And FYI..this country you seek isnt only Hargeisa, its funny how every time good news comes from the so-called independant country its always in Hargeisa or a handfull of cities in the north. This is just a free lesson but if you plan on dragging peaceful cities along your dream like quest for independance it would be wise to once in a while pretend that you actually care for the whole of the country, soil whatever you want to call it. Because so far, your attempts are crystal clear. Last, about visiting Mogadishu, why be a tourist it is your country after all, perhaps I'll see you there as I never had the chance to go either.
-
Cara, I would have asked about the title of that book but I would probably never get to it either
-
Suldaanka, Likewise I also do respect your opinion but can never respect the idea of separating from Somalia. While my comments might of seemed emotional to you, rest assured they are not based on feelings, but rather on facts. It is a fact that the North is doing much better then say the South or rest of Somalia today, security wise, which positively affects other aspect of society namely business, education and so on. It is also a fact that certain citizens in the North but mainly their diaspora ridden fellows believe in this fictious idea of separation. Due to the hell they have been throught while being part of Somalia, as you said. This is where my DEAR, you tend to be emotional while ironically calling me that, indeed it is a fact that we wont argue, that the Northern citizen under the regime of a dictator became victims of nothing short of a war crime. But in that same aspect you seem to either forget or perhaps fall ill to a voluntary amnesia, because you fail to mention that many Somalis where victim to the same war crimes as the North. Does it mean that blood shed in certain regions is more precious then others? Didn't God created us the same, aren't all men equal? Furthermore, walaal, should every part of Somalia read history the same way as you, then many parts of the North which now you and those that believe in separating, can not be part of the same sovereign seeking region. My point here is that, while all of Somalia suffered from the dictator, some PARTS indeed suffered definetely more. The North was not alone, and if separating is the Solution then perhaps your city should separate, but not mine which is part of the north and which your so-called country claims it. This is not coming from emotions but rather logic, because based on your views, every city in Somalia should be an indepedent country because every city suffered from another city's army or from the dictatorship. Thus I dont believe that holding grudges for grown men is using logic, rather it becomes emotional.

^^ Nephthys lool the name is Lois Lane (its a reference to a comic book while Louis is your everyday french men ) but im glad you agree with me My point was just that, while history is important divise comments should not be supported and even less when its at the expense of those that perished.
