  2. ^^^^^^ Yes I am glad they didnt introduce this game to Somalia. Amazing finish though 2 run win bloody brilliant and I dont even watch Cricket  .Unlucky for us though.
  3. ^^^^^^ LOL you do realise that comment reveals more about yourself than it does about me. . *shakes head in disappointment. Well if u conclude I am dark skinned than so be it. Darky all the way.  By the way your attempt at discrediting my argument failed because I dont find the idea of being dark skinned offensive.

Ahhh now i understand..you have this idea that being light skinned is something enviable and you resent the fact that your "reign" on looks is being overidden by girls who lighten their skin, so your response is to console yourself with the knowledge that you can always pinpoint the frauds. Nomadic_Princess Seriously, go and look in the mirror and come back and tell me honestly what your skin colour is? Waiting for your reply... LOL I see you want to work out whether i am dark so you can discredit my argument. Sorry wont work as Ill have you know im neither what is referred to as "dark" nor what is referred to as "light". Im perfectly satisfied with what Allah has given me too.

Come again???  Personally when I come across any sudanese person who use skin lightening cream it saddens me. They always appeared to me to be proud (the good type) people and so they should be. There is not point in lying to ourselves and saying black is beauty. "I'm black beauty, blah blah blah". Reality check. Dark is unattractive. I personally think light is beauty, not dark. You serious????  Your entitled to your opinions. But when we say Black is beautiful nobody is kidding themselves. And "reality check" Dark is not unattractive. I know plenty of "dark" somali girls who are extremely beautiful. I think its high time we stopped judging people by their skin colour. As you have admitted this is all about self esteem so continually perpetuating an unhelpful and unhealthy idea that being darker is ugly is definitely not what we need in our community. And tell me if we (the black community) dont respect ourselves how on Earth could we expect others to respect us?

  7. Well finished Bridget Jones: The Edge of reason and now up to the third part of Douglas Adams's 4 part trilogy The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy ( yes thats right a four part trilogy) and loving it so far.
  8. Excuse me for deviating, I can see there is/was a lively debate going on between Ngonge v Others. Here is my two cents. The idea that muslims demonstrating about the actions of others would lead to the deaths of their own countrymen and damage to their own property is rightly baffling and obviously shows there are some real problems in muslim nations. This isnt new nor should we make the mistake and assume it is restricted to muslims alone . The race riots in the US are a perfect example the black and hispanic population didnt go on some rampage in the suburbs but caused millions of dollars worth of damage in their own ghettos. Doesnt make much sence either?. Guess someone should write a book The problem with ethnic minorities? In all honesty we could debate Irshad Manji and the like till the cows come home. Since im not willing to do so. I will just sit back and watch everyone who is.

Believe me you would call it great If you saw the alternatives.
  11. How come you didnt tell me??...Happy Birthday OG. May Allah grant u a long prosperous life...
  12. lol Hadaad thanks for that. I was obviously looking at that strictly from a non mathamatical viewpoint.
  13. lol no I meant the word multiplication...last I checked it was a term used in mathamatics... Later okay so u edited ur post..care to explain the following 0 → 0 = 1, 0 → 1 = 1, 1 → 0 = 0, 1 → 1 = 1. Sorry im just not a maths person.
  14. multiplication?? sorry am I missing something?
  15. Zu great article. One of the many reasons why The Age is a great paper.

Generally good but those kind of statements are annoying in their ambiguity. But what else could he say? Its the sorta thing the public needs to hear I suppose. Ironically though the first victims of these kinds of attacks (not talking about physical injuries) are muslims.. P.S Zeph good to hear the news...sorry to hear your stranded but i guess safety is more important. Alhamdulilah this wasnt of the same scale as other attacks( Bali, Madrid, NYC)
  18. Not sure about the campaign at this point. But if your asking about what will happen with the G8 summit Blair is leaving so depends on what approach is taken by the rest of the delegates. Blair looked shattered did he not. Wonder how Geldof is taking the news?...Was really hoping that muslims werent involved but now that there are all these reports..cant help but feel even more disheartened.
  19. Watching it on BBC world. Zeph inshallah ur family is okay. Good to hear the rest of guys are safe and well. Some Arab guy on BBC says Al Qaeda is behind it..but i guess its too early to speculate.

Felt sorry for the French considering all the domestic turmoil the last thing they needed was to lose the bid to the English of all people. Now to be more selfish. I got some family up in London so no need to worry about transportation, accomodation or food costs.

Xu Second album Tourist is great as well. Originally posted by Xu: Gosh, maybe we could all go one day and see them live or something. [/QB] lol one problem...i live quite a fair distance from both you and Zephyrine. Im actually being pleasantly suprised by the music tastes of you guys  .When ive mentioned these groups to other Somalis they give me this weird look like I was a weirdo or something. Like I should only be listening to hip hop and rnb. P.S add Silverchair to the list.

    LIVE 8

Wow someone else who knows Athlete. P.S Dont u just love Joel Potts voice. Stereophonics seem pretty cool (like their current track) saw them at Live8 felt sorry for the guys though considering they were in Australia only 24 hours before taking the stage. Talk about killer jetlag but they seemed to handle it. The Killers are okay liked their last track didnt see them on Live8 but lucky me the show will be repeating on Sat. Actually I think u might like the track "Its too late" from a New Zealand group called Evermore sorta thing a coldplay-keane-travis-etc would like they should be releasing their stuff overseas soon.
