  1. Its realy funny to know about the names of western music sounding more like solid stuff, for instance, Rock music, Metal music, Heavy music, Hard music! Is that because if you listen to those musics you automatically become strong like metal? I find that naive to believe.
  2. Can anybody tutor me biology, I want to learn Genes, Genosomes, Gemates of the women and the DNA?
  3. Lidia, I got you, sister. But problem is that I don't know anything about English/Arabic/African Songs. I know some fragmanted somali songs, that was digested unintentionally during younghood. But I imagine what bounced you back from listening was not that easy. Do you listen Hip-hop songs? I once was told one, and couldn't make any sense of it. They all sing about good cars, nice clothes, and e.t.c. When it comes to Suugaan, I am for Gabay, even, i don't mind listening from the Jacbur Baraanbur that my sister always sings about.
  4. ^^You sound like you are the kind of people who do one out of two things; either you support, or you don't, having no middle ground and room for discussions. Do you deny that most of singers and acters are the ones responsible for mass negative influences and deviations? To be honest with you, I wasn't even talking about Fame and so forth, I was concerned the detriments that came with the support of that singer. Even, in the case of fame, you can't ignore the fact that people misuse or abuse the amount of fame they gained against their societies. I don't want to question your thinking pattern, but my questions were very much leaning towards the issues of responsibility. However, I can tell you one thing for sure, a famous somali singer to emerge means thousands of Somali kids becoming losers by acting the same. Singers don't bring any good to their societies. In our somali history, we recall one singer who repented soon before he became very famous, and none of the youngsters at time followed his corrective footsteps, and that was Sulfa. I think you heard his songs; Ceel laygu ciilayaan la caatoobay, aan la caatoobay cayshkiyaan cunaayaan kasoo caagayee, aan kasoo caagayee....
  5. ^ Thanks, but that is after all they decieved us.
  6. ^^ A prime example of what I am cautioning about is that a person like you would think that Fame gained through such means is bound to decency! Thanks for reminding my silliness, but remember that much of my silliness reflects your amazing Caqli, which can be anything! Hey, by the way, Ramadaan Kariim. I don't want to spoil my Ramadan with a to-and-fro personal ratings.
  7. ^^ Believe me, abaayadiis, the first thing that came to my mind was chaning myself by first marrying, at least, labo. You know that there are certain characteristics we gradually inherited from these societies, for instance, associating money with females. I don't even understand until now how I happen to link such things with marriage. Iga tag, sanadkaan lacag lee la isku xujeenooyaa! Laakiin, adna ogow hee, maalinkaan ogaado inaad lacagteyda lee rabtid, furiinkaaga hadiyad camal aad u qaadan laheed noo, .
  8. Walaahi Lidia is so funny. She is as funny as her aviator! by the way, please don't listen music, make sure to remain cognizent by listening from Allah's words, which is the Quran. I hope, after practicing that, you will find great energy in keeping yourself awake and energetic. People who listen to the Quran are always focused in what they do and seem tireless in their efforts to excell at everything. Music doesn't give the person real energy, it gives headache by first reinvigorating the nervious system, which then will leave after-math effects of bad memory and slowness in brain activity. That is the truth, indeed, according to some early studies I've made on Music Effects in the behaviorial changes. But I personally appreciate your frankness for seeking brotherly advices to this issue that worried your religious and sound heart. Masha-allah. Go ahead sister, and at least experiment my take and report me if any difference takes place. Thanks
  9. Its Ramadan Brother, and you are inviting us tor making that guy promoted through our voting. What if he get promoted and become like Ayan Xirsi? Are you going to be responsible for that?

  12. They somewhat look Somalis trying to cross the border between Somalia and Sweden!
  13. Recently, I begin to recieve sevaral emails about soliciting businesses that I had already in mind. Though the emails differ in names and contexts, sometimes all senders sound West Africans. But one thing has suprised me about these emails. one day, not too far, an email sent by someone who works as a bank account manager suggested me a deal. The person who sent the email said that he had $ 23 millions in one of the accounts he managed. The owner of that money died, and no body had came to claim for the money. So, he said, if I don't transfer that money into a foreign land bank, the government will notice it, and make an ownership of it. Also, he added that he found out that I am a trusty worthy person with firm personality and understanding. Therefore, to strike a good deal, he suggested, I have to send my account to him, so that he can transfer to it, before he divide the money into two. I don't know if these emails are personaly targeting me or not, but with the excitement they prompted in me, I went to my close friend for advice about this new issue, and he said, let's quickly respond to him, through the phone numbers he gave me, and make sure that we, (me and my friend) ask bigger shares of that money, since we are taking some risks. The funny thing about my friend is that he hastly suggested that he will buy the phone card to make the long-distance call and inform the bank manager that he's part of the deal. My friend, even said that the sooner we obtain the money, we'll go to Carabaha iyo Asia, and marry some beautiful girls in there. After we tried to call the bank manager, the call didn't go through, because the line was bussy, and my friend suddenly thought that the bussy line is mainly because the guy is overwhelmed with the excitement as we did. Funny enough, that at times he was reciting some prayers for this to become true. Aloow maxaa naga raacay meeshaas!
  14. Thank you Brother Nur, Walaahi you uncovered the real intentions of the Marqaan-weyne , the loser, and the worst example of a fading out sufi. Ilaahayoow waxaan marqaati ka ahay inaad naxariis badan tahay, oo naxariistaada ay ka qaalib noqotay carradaada. Kaas diinta ku aflagaadooday muxuu dhaamaa hadda kuwii nabiga (scw) dhibi jiray, sida Abuu Lahab? Bashir Godoow, Naarta Jahanamo Salkeeda ku waar, ilaah aan ka baryee! Oo afka aad diinteena iyo dumarkeena ku caaysay, masiibo dagdag ah ilaah haka soo saaro!
  15. Brown, Sawm Wanaagsan, as well. The question doesn't raise the issue of disgratefulness and so forth, its about the blind loyalties that misleads the ones who are driven moron impulses and ignorance. And believe me, showing respect for your host country doesn't mean in my terms to be very blind-folded to the realities and errs of the host country. We say in somali proverb, "kill the gaal and offer his rightful dues, or judgement". What I mean by that is you never disguise the fact from someone you respect by showing no displeasing signs of truth. And again, if you ask me whether I like these lands of Allah or not, I would tell you nothing but the qualitative difference they have, and I don't believe in loving a country that doesn't enable me peace in mind, because we all know our status is under the proletarian class of slavery-wage workers, who are indeed inflicted with an everlasting impoverishment in their presence of these lands. Sweet Gal Thanks abaayo for your excellent and helpful discretions you offered me. I decided to refrain at my best from that guy, whom I believe has self-esteem problems. I learned the guy with the accompany of some of my friends, who are innocent and don't share with his unguided moronness. But trust me, the guy is new to city, I never saw him before. He seems from the way he behaves that everyone shares with his pathetic world-views, because that was the reason he initiated such topics in our midst. Tukaale, Yes brother, I surely agree on that. Allah, (sw), is the supreme and above anyone who thinks they can attribute power to themselves. Power is the opposite of human nature, because we're all weak, but in our weakness lies where the real power of humanistic qualities arise, and that is humbleness. Humble qualities do have some unsurpassable beauties that people incline to. And when that humble quality is missed, which is the real power, that person is doomed for an ethernal failure.
  16. There is a guy that I know always talks about politics, and praises the non-Islamic systems of governance. He detests anything about Islamic system, and calls it out-dated. When he wants to talk, in our midst, he passionately praises and extols America, and its historical leaders. So, I decided to subjectively stick with the opposite views of him, because I know his loyalties for the west were beyond the boundary. He despices Somalis for being how they are, and hates the Arabs without any reasons. I realy can't describe this guy's passionate attachment and loyalties to America. But the funny thing about him is that he threatens us when we disagree with him or question his loyalties, by interprating the law into what he calls "punishable by deportation or jail sentence." For instance, when I say to him, the war of Iraq is illegal, he says, "I know what you mean, you are siding with the argagixiso, yes, because you don't like our country (America, which is his new found country) to win over those Qarxiyeyaal. I wonder if this guy is Jaajuus who happen to work volentarily with the agents, or he chooses so because he doesn't like his people, or.. I realy don't know, but help me nomads identifying, if any, the traits and characteristics of Jaajuus people. I am afraid some people would think that I am bothered by that or felt paranoid. I have no reason to feel scared, but out of curriosity, I am interested in what motivates people to behave like that, when they realy have no idea what they for or against.

  19. I wonder why our home-grown liberals jump out from their caves everytime we try to peel off the camouflage of western deceptions! Oh, they say, that is true, or No, they meant that way, not what you thought it was.... May be our home-grown or western-grown stoogies are the worst than those who truly consider as the enemy of the Ummah. But, one thing I always respect is their foreign-made-views, because that is the only way you can respect them.
  20. I don't like the causes Weris Dirie leads, but I am ferociously against the despicabal practice of Yasmo and Islaweynan that much of Reer Baadiye people practice until this day. I've been trying very hard for the past three years to marry a decent girl from those respectable families of Madhiban. I am determined to make sure that I become one of the reasons that integrates those people to the rest of Somalis, I mean in the real sense of integration. 21. Nazra, interesting! That is a good way students can skillfully initiate a topic and then use for their assignments. Its like a survey that you take with as much participants as you can get, to make sure that you prove a point for your benefits.
  22. Castro, You are absulately right on that. The reality in the American's political system and grass-root social movements veers towards the right, who advocate for a broad American involvement in the world of oil enriched countries. But the trend of their movements now is leading to something other than economic pursuit, which is an ideological doctrine that domestically seeks a unified America in order to confront the international elements that question the America's intentions and activities.
  23. Rashid, The last time, I heard the culimaa saying that its Ok to brush your teeth with whatever Islamicaly acceptable during Ramadan, as a neccesary part of Islamic hygenity, but you must always use your discretion to make sure you refrain from anything that can invalidate your fasting. Especially, you have to very delligent in brushing your teeth with such known pastes with haraam ingredients. Find a better alternative, that I know exists, to maintain the cleanliness that you want. Also, avoid brushing the teeth hard lest the gum bleeds. There was a paper that the Imam of the local mosque told me to translate into English, which was discussing in details about the rulings or Axkaam of the fasting. I will surely try to find out where I placed, so that we can benefit from it in here.
  24. It was the global war on Weapons of Mass Destruction. Then, it become the global war on those Muslims against the western interests. Now, they are saying its the global war on the emancipation of Muslim women! This neo-mixture of liberal-conservatist paused me to think deeply for the innocence of our veiled women in the west, when he revealed his deep-seated animosity towards the veil and its signifance in the following: I've witnessed far more instances of the mistreatment of women than I care to recall, but the one that always leaps to mind is local and superficially benign: In the southern heat of a Washington summer, it's common to see a male Middle Eastern tourist comfortably dressed in a polo shirt and shorts trailed by a staggering woman wrapped from head to toe in flapping black robes, eyes peering out through a mask. It offends me to meet that image in my country. Can you think about as a Muslim that performing a religious duty in west is going to be tantamount to public obsenity, or crime if Americans become fully absorbed with the malicious remarks of the auther. I wouldn't not feel bothered if the author would wrote such on somewhere over the internet, but unfortunately its printed on one of the extensively read papers in America. Global war on women The U.S.-led campaign on terror is also a battle for women's freedom: the Islamic veil vs. the woman's business suit. In fact, the great success of the Western woman is a formidable threat to Islamist extremists. By Ralph Peters The greatest social revolution in history is underway all around us: The emancipation of women. Advanced in our own society, elsewhere the battle for women's rights lies at the heart of colossal struggles over the future of great religions and civilizations. The Washington establishment would shrink from any such claim, but the Global War on Terror is a fight over the social, economic and cultural roles of women. The core issues for the terrorists are the interpretation of God's will and the continued oppression of women. Nothing so threatens Islamic extremists as the freedom Western women enjoy. The sudden transition of women from men's property to men's partners in our own country unleashed dazzling creative energies. In the historical blink of an eye, we doubled our effective human capital — and made our society immeasurably more humane. Our half-century of stunning economic growth has many roots, but none goes deeper than the expansion of opportunities for women. But such unprecedented freedom threatens traditional societies. Behavior patterns that prevailed for millennia are suddenly in doubt. Relationships that granted males the power of life and death over female relatives have disappeared from successful cultures. Defensively, the failing cultures left behind cling harder than ever to the old ways amid the tumult of global change. The true symbols of the War on Terror are the Islamic veil and the two-piece woman's business suit. The math is basic. No civilization that excludes half its population from full participation in society and the economy can compete with the United States and its key allies. Yet Middle Eastern societies, especially, have dug in their heels to resist change. Some, such as Turkey, Pakistan and Iran, have tumbled backward. Islamist terrorists have formed the last, great boy's club, meeting in caves and warning girls to stay out — or, in the case of the 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta, demanding that women be kept from his grave to avoid polluting it. Their vision offers women fewer rights by far than those enjoyed by the wives of the prophet Mohammed. They are women-hating sadists for whom faith is an excuse. Their fears are primal. The good news is that the forces of oppression can make plenty of tactical mischief but can't achieve strategic success. No society in which women are veiled and sequestered can achieve the dynamism and force of one in which women are senators, judges, CEOs, doctors and military pilots. Freedom will win, if not swiftly. The bad news is that this is a truly global struggle involving not only Islamist thugs terrified by female sexuality, but also reactionary forces in our own society. The Global War Against Women is still being waged on the home front, too. Without questioning the integrity of those who believe that life begins at conception, the struggle to overturn Roe v. Wade can also be viewed as an attempt to turn back the clock on women's freedom. Opposing such a reversal isn't a matter of thinking abortion admirable, but of accepting the magnificent revolutionary principle that no man has a right to tell any woman what she can or cannot do with her body. Attempts to interfere with another citizen's liberty are worthy of Osama bin Laden, not of Americans. Likewise, the ideologically driven reluctance of the Food and Drug Administration to approve the “morning-after pill†for general use is a vestige of patriarchal tyranny that would please Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, al-Qaeda's leader in Iraq. Longing to restore the tyrannical pattern that governed social relations down the ages, our extremists demand that women's options be restricted, that their bodies be treated as chattels of the state. Nor should we be surprised that women stand among those who would deny rights to other women. Their counterparts are the African crones who demand that young girls undergo genital mutilation just as they did, or the women of the Middle East who insist that wearing a chador protects them. They are the champions of the small morality of rules over the greater morality of freedom. The greatest moral advance has been the attainment of basic human rights by women. It's also the most threatening development to those daunted by change, who cling to a mythologized past and fear the future — whether in a Saudi-funded madrassa or protesting outside a U.S. Planned Parenthood clinic. Around the world, troubled souls continue to insist that women are the source of sin and must be kept in line for their own good. Theirs is a prescription for suffering, dreariness and stagnation. In traveling the globe, I've witnessed far more instances of the mistreatment of women than I care to recall, but the one that always leaps to mind is local and superficially benign: In the southern heat of a Washington summer, it's common to see a male Middle Eastern tourist comfortably dressed in a polo shirt and shorts trailed by a staggering woman wrapped from head to toe in flapping black robes, eyes peering out through a mask. It offends me to meet that image in my country — or anywhere. We do not think of our troops abroad as fighting for women's rights. But they are. This is the titanic struggle of our time, the liberation of fully half of humanity. Islamist terror is only one aspect of it. But we can be certain of two things: In the end, freedom will win. And no society that torments women will succeed in the 21st century. Ralph Peters is the author of New Glory, Expanding America's Global Supremacy, and a member of USA TODAY's board of contributors.
