The euphoria will die down in the next couple of months and the reality will set in. I'm not any way denying that some people in Somaliland might 'consider' a change of heart, but it's too far up there to suggest masses or sub clans are suddenly ready to throw away everything they believed and built for two decades, because Muqdisho finally selected someone who is not of x warlord calibre. There is much work to be done and much more sould searching, reconciling the differences of our people, before you start to see real wind of change start to take root in our respective regions. I, very much welcome any change so long as it's fair and gaurantees the rights of all somalis and not just Muqdisho.

More apprioriate people are in charge of this, neither you or I can really say much apart from opinions submitted through internet blog. I can understand the excitement that has been generated by the recent news out of Somalia, however Somaliland has been having peaceful and fair elections(Presidential and parliamentary) in the last decade or so, and while we are happy for our brothers down south for finally showing some signs of competency, it remains business as usual here at home that is Maandeeq. As for MPs that hail from Somaliland. Any decent person would tell you that you need more than MPs(of SL origin) to even draw Somaliland's interest in this. If you're serious person, you'd understand Somaliland is run from Hargeisa and you would need to deal with Hargeisa in regards to any related issues.

Tilmook, I don't know if you are blind or just have not been paying attention, but members of the Somaliland community on SOL have been expressing their support for Somalia' quest to end the transition and elect a real governing body. You have NG, Norf, XX, Jac, and Ayub who have posted news or opinions in regards to Somalia's elections. There hasn't been whole lot of news posted about Somaliland. It's important time for Somalia to finally come out of the darkness and join the free nations of the world.
