  1. Salamu Calaykum, If you enjoy seeing pictures from back home, then this would be for you. Enjoy, Salamu Calaykum. http://gallery.somali-info.com/magicgallery/13.htm PICTURE GALLERY FROM SOMALILAND
  2. Salamu Calaykum, I have to give you some credit for coming back last night and beating a team-- well that is missing their top 3 offensive players plus their biggest defensive stoper. But Liban, you admitted that we gave you a quiete battle didn't we? I am sure if the Wild were in full strenght the game could have been over along time ago perhaps at the start of the second intermission. But you managed to come back and if wasn't for the golie you would have lost the game, because he is not our best Manny Fernandes was sitting out last night so I thought Roloson played poorly last night giving up 2 easy goals. However 3-2 isn't really lapsided game considering the fact that you were playing a team that was missing its best players, best goalie, and also playing on the road. You had to work extra hard and look energy in the tank and those tired old Flames legs to create a miracle comeback or as I put it a disasterous third period for the Wild. Don't get little excited we still play few more and I hope both teams are at their best next time we play, by then bro we are in business. As you said it was a good game indeed, very energatic game. But be honest bro, what did you think of the Wild last night? and don't give be an answer that you just want to put me down but give me an honest answer. Weren't the Wild too quick plus very good handle of the puck? didn't they seemed a well coached and descipline bunch? Salamu calaykum.
  3. SALAMU CALAYKUM, Yoonis with all your respect bro, the title of the thread and the non sense that you have put forth to make your case against Northwesterns don't match in anyway shape of form. You are going against the laws of litarature which says if you are going to write about one thing then you have to stay with the same topic. Instead you are directing hatred comments towards Northwesterners and then saying let us all Somalis commobrate the genocide commited in Taleex. You are crippling all over the place, jumping from idea to another. We are hoping for this website to be a site that can be useful to all Somalis to have good exchange of ideas. You can have your opinions and view things differently than anyone else but to offend a whole region and its people is just not smart and it's plain wrong. In addition, I thought the topic you have selected is very good considering my first glance at it but as I dug it deep I quickly found out that the title of the thread and your purpose are two different things. You have hidden a message of hatred in a tragic event that was ruthlessly commited by British infidels. Moreover, I can't help but noticed the tragic photos that you have posted and they send a chill down my spinal especially the one on the right, knowing the bodies that lie there are my blood and people who were wrongly murdered in their own soil. But it's not right to connect that brutal oppression to your brothers from the northwest. I could careless anything you say about those Somaliland politicians and their business. But don't make it as though all the people in the Northwest would welcome an infidel. He was there to do business and to give the usual sevel million pounds. Every region in Somalia has one bad apple and if you are going to critize one you must do the same for the other. At this point, I am talking about the so elected President of Somalia Abdullahi Yusuf Axmed. He has cause many death and destruction and apprentaly he is the one that wants our most hated enemy; Ethiopia into Somali soil after all the Ethiopians are doing in Western Somalia in which they wrongly occupy, he still chose to favor them and is trying to find away to get them in Somalia to help his cause. Now tell me if that doesn't make you sick to your stomach or are you clan minded and so selfish to admit that he evil doing human being that needs Allah's guidance. But I think you see him as savior for Somalis. Next time you want to critize something please go straight to your point and don't use tragic events such as Taleex bombardment a way to find critizm for Northwestern Somalis. If what I have wrote above has offended you in anyway, I put my apology forth. I have tried to do my best not to offend you or your respective region, because that doesn't do any good,it only creates more rift between us. I hope you understand where I am coming from. salamu Calaykum.
  4. Salamu Calaykum, Yoonis I like the new look but did you really have to offend Somalis from the Hargiesa, Burco, and Berbera. Your writing seemed to be reasonable at first and I thought Yonis was given us little history lesson but when you went and said things like how Somalis from Northwest were not as freedom fighters as SSC, it threw me off. It would help your point and would make you sound reasonable person if you directed you writing towards all Somali audience. You must realize that this website is for all Somalis and when you want to touch like an important events such Taleex and the Darawish you have to include everyone. I am from Hargiesa and I have all the respect and admiration that anybody has for those Mujahideen who fought against those evil doers of the British. I take pride in the history and events of the people like Sayid Muhammed A. Hassan, may Allah have mercy on him,and I considered him my hero. However, you can't blame only some Somalis from one region for not helping him out, although Somalis from Burco region were the first Darawiish to join and later became disloyal to him, because he was descended from different tribal lineage. The fact of the matter is that Muhammed A. Hassan has done his duty as a servant of Allah and fought against infidels on his homeland as much as he could. If wasn't for the lack of support of Hobyo sultans, majority of Northwest and some from his own sub clan tribe, he could have done so much more. Either way it's Allah will. The bombing of Talex needs not to be remembered as the way you put it. But we need to make fatihas for them and make Du'aa and ask Allah to have mercy on them to those passed away on that day, that is the way to remember someone you love as a Muslim. We also need to ask ourselves what they died for and what is expected of us after them as Somalis. Now this is little Poem of Muhammed Abdallah Hassan after his Darawiish defeated the British infidels in battle and then killed their commander. Muhammed A. Hassan recited this poem over the dead body of the British Commander Richard Coafield. I will try to write it completely next time Insha Allah many more poems from the Sayid. It started something like this. Adaa Kofieldo Jiitoo Dunida Joogayne Jahanaba lagayoo------- in progress, don't have time. Salamu Calaykum.
  5. Salamu Calaykum, First of all brothers Soomaal, Yuunis, and Jr. you have to understand and get some thing straight. When you considered places like Sool and Sanaag as though they belong to some other people who are any different than those living in Hargiesa, Berbera and Burco,it sends the wrong message. The people who live in both areas are one and the same and desserve not to be taken as an bad example and draw them along side with those Ethiopian infidels who wrongly occupy Muslim soil mainly Somali soil. What we have here are politicians who are working for their own interest and that includes the so called Riyale Kahin and the other dhan xiir from the other side. It's really not so good idea for your little minds to be involved in their dirty business, don't praise them like they will bring good to your region . Las Anod has always seemed to be running behind, because it's been the battle ground for any disputes that Somaliland had with their neighbors. It's really hard to considered someone to be occupying your land when you have another evil doer sitting on top of you. I don't disagree that Somalis who live mainly in Sool region have been wrongly mistreated and rights to govern themselves taken away to be fair by one from the far East and one from the far West. So, either way it's lose lose situation for the Somalis living in las Anod. The solution is that they must create little adminstration based on the traditional boqor and sultan system and worship Allah until the all mighty changes something about the problems of the Somalis as a whole. If I were you I would stop wasting your minds on some useless things created by useless politicians. Try to come up with your own solutions to the problems facing your respective regions, because there are problems, sitting here and making useless comments isn't one of the solutions. Salamu Calaykum.
  6. Salamu Calaykum, Yoonis, thanks for the confirmation but you said they left the city to teach lesson to some transgressors. I am asking who are those you are refering to as trangressors?. Did they leave towards Jowhar or what, because if not for low pay by Cadde Muse then that is the only reason they have left Las Anod; helping the Abdullahi Yusuf cause. The websites that posted this articles aren't just websites that belong to Somaliland, but WidhWidh online also posted it in further details. They said Las Anod was in Bando last night and all the residents were told not to leave their homes on orders released by the government based in Gorowe. 7. SALAMU CALAYKUM, It could be lies and made up, then again it could also be true considering the fact that the Puntland forces have been complaining about low pay in their services. Salamu Calaykum bro.
  8. Salamu Calaykum, I found this article on Somali website while serving the Somali sites. The views and the opinions expressed in this website do not neccesarilly reflect my opinions. WWW.HALGANEWS.COM
  9. Salamu Calaykum, General Duke, I am not fooled by the pics of Xamar, they look every bit as catchy as you can post a pic from the Nugaal valley or even better to say the least. What can I say the life of Moqdisho is lovely, the poeple look great. My heart goes out to them for doing the best to stay normal without an actual government. I wished them the best, and may Allah have mercy on them and give them rewards for their efforts. As someone from Hargiesa, I can only say good things about the historic and ancient city of Moqdisho. It's the land mark of every Somali. Few negatives comments by misled Somali brothers doesn't take away the pride of Moqdisho. Salamu Calaykum
  10. salamu Calaykum, I too had negative views about Moqdhisho until I recently chated with some Somalis who visited there during their Summer vacation. They have taken pictures of new homes that they have built, the booming business of the Bakara Market and the beautiful 5-6 story buildings of downtown Moqdhisho, in addition to that they showed me of their personal pics of them swimming in the remarkable curaba beach. After all, I have never thought life was extroadinary that good in a city that has been without government for well over a decade. They told me Moqdisho is very safe unless you put on nice suit with nice shining black shoes and then walk down the street, then you might get the attention that you have fat wallet. They told me without ignoring the fact that people get killed everyday just like any other highly populated cities around the globe, they said that Moqdisho is given a bad wrap by the people and unless one goes there and expereinces it personally, it's really hard to judge the situation in Moqdisho. I found it believable, after learning that Moqdisho ranks number one in all educational categories including Quran memorazation and recitation in Somalia . Moqdisho University was recently voted as the 79th best University in the continental Africa; finishing a head of many well known Universities in the continent. Moreover, you might call the Islamic courts in Moqdisho terrorist division but that is after you have been joked up with misleading information in your head by the western media. The fact of the matter is that those coursts are trying every bit to keep the city of more 2 million people safe and well educated and govern them by the rules and regualtion of the Islamic shariica. It's totally out of line to single out Moqdisho as the only place where people get killed, people get killed in the Somalia's state of Puntland, and even sometimes in Somaliland. As well as the neighboring countries including the recent killings of about 30 poeple in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia by the Police. No one can deny the fact that Moqdisho is a place where one thinks twice before they leave home, but so as the other regions of Somalia. However, if take Moqdisho and put it against Basaso, Basaso is bit safer but Moqdisho is a head of Basaso in big margin when it comes to Education, health, and busines(Bakara Market ) and also I would personally rank Moqdisho as the second most beautiful city even after 15 years of lack of government, only second to Hargiesa; Somaliland's capital. So brothers, I urge you to have some honest saying before you go off about Moqdisho. I salute to those living in Moqdisho for staying strong and continuating their normal life and to those Mujahids of the Ikhwanu Muslimin for doing their best to restore hope in Somalia's capital City. Salamu Calaykum.
  11. Salamu calaykum, Now just hang on a second and let me get this straight. An innocent Muslim Palestininia was shot cold blooded by the Yahud Pigs and then the father gave away his organs to the same Yahud family that murdered him. The father said no body can tell him what to do and he feels happy about the decision he made. I am really sadden by this and anger as the kufar and Yahud pigs murder our Muslim children and then what does one do, he goes out and donates the body parts of the body to the Yahud. One thing makes me mad and the other creates steam off the top of my head. It's one thing that our Muslim children are getting killed everyday in Palestine, Iraq and else where but it's worst one still has some respect for the infidels. The Yahud will burn in hellfire and so will the father who lost his child's organs to the Yahud after their soldiers killed the little innocent muslim palestinian boy. INalilahi wa inaa ila Salamu Calaykum.

    GIRLZ....

SALAMU CALAYKUM, ABDINUR, AT FIRST I THOUGHT YOU WERE A GIRL, IF IT WASN'T FOR YOUR NAME, I WOULD HAVE NEVER FOUND OUT THAT YOU WERE A GUY, BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GUY WHO LOOKS AT HIMSELF AND SAYS HEY I NEED TO ADD FEW INCHES ON MY ABS. YOUR POST IS JUST REDICLOUS, SO PLEASE ASK THE SISTERS SOMETHING USEFUL PLEASE. LEAVE THE BUTT AND THE LOOK TO OUR SOMALI GIRLS. TO THAT ONE GIRL WHO SAID THAT SHE IS SKINNY AND HAS NO BUTT, PLEASE KEEP IT TO YOURSELF WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW YOUR PRIVATE AREAS LOOK. BACK TO ABDINUR, IF YOU DON'T MINE ,PLEASE ASK THE LADIES SOMETHING USEFUL THAT CAN HELP YOU DEAL AND UNDERSTAND OTHER GIRLS. SALAMU CALAYKUM AND CIID MUBARAK.
  13. Salamu Calaykum, I don't think there is any question about the true color of the Somali flag. It's the second flag on the list. After all it resembles the sky and the sky isn't that bold blue even when it's clear as shown by other flag colors. The Somali national anthem went something like------ Qoloba calankeedi waa cayn inagaa waa cirkoo kalee--- contiunues on. salamu calaykum and ciid mubarik

While Puntland could do great things and advance beyond imagination, its ****** like Red Sea who are holding it back. To suggest that YeeY would be back to P'land if they declare independencyis rubish.
  15. Salamu Calaykum, Whoever posted this thread was probably saying let me just put out there something crazy and out of proportion like "Puntland state declaring independence" and then all of the sudden all the non thinkers in this form fell for it. However I am not surprised, because except few but most of go whichever way the wind is blowing. That defines your believes that you don't stand for anything, you are people that can influenced by even what a fool throws out there just to say I posted a thread. Most of you are still saying that Somaliland declaring independence is just crazy dream, so I am asking does one of you who supports Independent Puntland has the right to say anything about Somaliland when he/she wants to break the Somalis apart? I think it's bad and ignorant idea to even think about declaring independence at this time, because your president Abdullahi Yusuf is still in business and you don't want to spoil that from him, he will turn on you and take seat from the temporary president of Puntland Gen. Modoobe Muse. Salamu Calaykum and Ramadan Karim.
  16. Salamu Calaykum, I will tell you one good reason why you won't break away. It will be a lack of support of the local population who will choose 100% to remain with Somalia and hope for peaceful reconcilation.
  17. Salamu Calaykum, So tell me Camel Milk when you are saying that Somaliweyn needs to invade Moqdisho not Puntland what are you really suggesting? wouldn't someone who is reading that get the sense that you are excluding Puntland from Somalia. What I am saying is that Puntland is no different than Moqdisho, if someone needs to do something about the problems facing Somalia then it's all Somalis including Puntlanders. Also you are claiming Abdullahi Yusuf who is from Puntland region is working on the problems of Somalia please, Allah and all Somali people know as well as you do that Abdullahi Yusuf is dark hearted man who will never bring any positive note to Somalia let alone a stable government. We need to look else where, someone who is close to Allah. What did you expect other warlords do, when another war lord is trying to tell them what to do, well I expect bloodshed and turmoil which seems to be the case that is unfolding ifront of our eyes. Abdullahi Yusuf isn't the answer for Somalia's problems, but we hope Allah brings a just ruler soon inshallah. Salamu Calaykum.
  18. Salamu Calaykum, So you guys are giving up on our Somaliweyn dream. I am disgusted with you. I had no idea that you would come to a conclusion like this after arguing and defending Somaliweyn so much. However if you decide that you want Puntland to step aside then speak for yourself. You don't represent the Somalis living in the eastern regions of Somalia, they are 100% for Somaliweyn. If you decide to break away then you just wasting your energy on empty space. First you should ask yourself who is with me? the answer is that no body will even take you seriously if you say such thing, so don't make fool of yourselves guys. Now enjoy this line from "Soomali waa mid, wax lakala qaybsho malaha, dibaa loo noqonayaa walanoqonayaa" ( Qabyo part 1) and this few lines from the famous gabay of Mahamud Suldan Timacade; dugsi male qabyaaladi waxay dumiso mooyee. Dugsi male qabyaladi waxay dumiso moyee aniga uun baa damqanayee dhaguhu uma dhaloolaane dadka aan lahadlayaa ayaan lahayn dix iyo imaane bal inay fahanto nacastu kor iyo hoosba waan ugu dhigi tixda gabayga.

Salamu Calaykum brother Yoonis as much as I respect you and would like to agree with you yet I can't except you saying that the Somalis living in Moqdisho are happy with the Chaos. No human kind with a feeling can ever be happy with chaos but what you rather meant is that they have given up hope when the problems overwhelmed them. Don't take and rely on the opinion of someone who probably doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Listen the cries and mourning of the people living in those regions before you make such jugements. Salamu Calaykum.
  20. SALAMU CALAYKUM, Those are beautiful scenes indeed I can almost smell the fresh flowers from here, and the great smell of the wetland soil. Insha Allah if I am alive, I will try to visit Las Anod to visit my aunt next year and hey Soomaal who knows we might see each other over there bro. Thanks for the post Salamu Calaykum.
  21. Salamu calaykum, Thanks my beloved sister for asking us for advise before you reach yours. It's always good to get help when you need help that is why this section of SOL was made. Coming back to the topic at hand. I would like you sister to read this with sincere mind and listen to me, because I won't tell you anything that is misleading. First and foremost, if the brother that you wth is a good brother who respects the laws and regulations of the Islmic law then I can continue, if he is one that touches and crossed the borders already then I would say present this issue to your closest Shiekh who is trustworthy and deal with it secretly. So if it is so happens that the brother yells but has no other big wrong doings then I would advice t marry him as soon as possible if you like him and feel you can raise children and family with him. If the only thing that is stoping you from marriage is your school, then I would tell you that don't listen to what anybody else says listen to Allah and the words of the massenger. Our beloved Prophet scw said " O you who have reach puberty if ye can get married then marry". Notice the word "can", it doesn't mean if you are still in school and still in the middle of school, it means if you have something to pay to the woman's family then you can get married. Don't let other's comments bother you. It's a proven fact that you will never regret marriage. Marriage only makes things easier for you whether it's school or other aspects of life. After it's encourage by Allah and his messenger scw, be convinced. Get married and at the same attend your school and finish your school. If he finished school or not it's his responsibility to provide with the family. After all you can't get married unless you can take care of your family. So my sister don't worry, insha Allah, this is good thing that is happening to you and don't let past you by. If you feel unconfortable with the guy before we even reach the school issue, then you are 100% free to do whatever you want. You aren't forced to do anything against your will. If you don't want him walk away, if you want him but school is on your way, then that is not valid reason. School and marriage have nothing to do with each other. You will always be the same only better once you get married, it all depends on you if you sit back and say since I got married I am not going to School, or if you want to continue your education but don't let school stand on your way. You have only three months and you could be married before you finish school and kids are 6 more months away from that. My last advice to you is if you decide to do the right thing and you get married now. Don't delay the process of having kids because ofschool,it's not allowed in our religion.Only if you are sick and can't carry the baby is when you are allowed to space out the pregnancy. Finally, remember what Allah said if you are afraid if you get married soon you won't feed the family so Allah said "Wallaa taqtuluu awlaadakum cindaka iflaaqin, naxnu narsuqukum waa iyaahum" Suuratu Isra. roughly translated= And don't kill you children fear of hunger, indeed we feed you and them" in another Ayah it's the other way around "we feed them and you". Sister take advantage of this great oppurtunity. And I hope you finish your school smoothly, and may Allah hold your hand into success in this life and the hereafter and may you never fail in life, Allahu ma Amin. Salamu Calaykum my dear sis and Ramadan Karim.
  22. Salamu Calaykum, Brother Liban, it's long season bro with alots of ups and downs. This was first time all season they looked rusty and tired after playing the previous night or may be they might have under estimated the Hawks considering the Hawks record and their line up. I still feel they will rebound against Van. in their next game at home. The Wild haven't clicked on the road yet. But hey there was one positive note on that game. The Wild's best player is back and scored two goals, so look more success for the Wild. Chicago is too young to compete with Minnesota, let them enjoy the moment we will set a scoring record on them once they visit Minnesota, just like last year when we beat them 8-2.
  23. Salamu Calaykum, Brother Soomaal, I am not saying exclude him from the group, however he belongs in whole new list. He belongs in the list of clanish minded but one thing I can for sure say without defending him that he has not involved in the civil wars. But him being a clanish minded person is a different category. Abdullahi Yusuf, Riyale Kahin and Silanyo are for sure war criminals. But Faisal Warabe is on another list of the sick minded people who put clan before everything.
  24. Oh here we go again, waxay Soomalidu tidhaahdaa, midaamo dhago male haduu malag dhawaaqayo. So tell me Allah ubaahne what is the difference between them? because I can make a list of their similarities including that they are all same people with same blood, same religion, same culture, same language and I can go on and on. You said war superiority, hmm, we are not actually talking about confentional warfare here. This is about problems facing our people; the Somalis. All I know is that the Somalis living in Moqdisho whom you wrongly considered as though they are different than ever other Somali are suffering and they need aid. They are tired of war and need help more than ever before. An ignorant one like you wouldn't dare to speak such nonsense if he knew the situation in Moqdisho. Talk about how much people need help and leadership. If it so happens that civil war occurs which I hope not, then everybody loses, it is no body's interest to be in turmoil. Maybe you have never been in a battle field or have never a heard the explosions of the bombs go off and never witness people losing their lives infront of you, because if you have, you wouldn't have been making such childish comments. Salamu calaykum.
