  1. Assalamu Calaykum, MR. ME, I still don't get why you are over exagerating this whole debate. Besides what is the bases of this discusion, is it about letting the people of SOOl and Sanaag decide their own destiny or is it about unity? Regarding the Sool and Sanaag situation, I would say any Muslim or human being doesn't have the right to force another one of something he/she doesnt want. In this case if the people of Sool and Sanaag choose to remain with the rest of brethererns from Somalia and not seccede with their equally brothers in Somaliland, that is a choice made by the residents of Sool and Sanaag and that needs to be respected by everyone. This is a common sense and it's not necessary to try to creat a plot to make someone seem he she wants something that in reality they don't, which is the Sool and Sanaag situaion. I think sister Rahima has made her points clear, so there is no urgent need to expect more from her just to prove what she has already proven to you in pages for the last week or so . To sister Rahima, I totally get in everything you have written, you make alot of sense in your writing, your thought process is something I am amazed by, so I don't know as of yet of what part in your report that Mr. Me hasn't still understand. On the other side of the issue, if the Somalis in Hargeisa, Burco, Berbera, Borame, want to seccede and not remain with the rest, then that is their call and you should respect that as well. No one can force another of an idealogy that they don't want to except, everyone is free to do what is that they think is best for them. In either way, the people must not forget that they are brothers and sisters in Islam, they must still stand side by side although they may reside on different sides of the fence. The people must continue their relationship. Dadku walaalo way ahaan karaan, kala dadna way noqon karaan, laakin yaan lakala dhiman. Waan cadawga Somaliyeed aan la isku jabin oo meel lagala soo wada saftaa. good luck to everyone, that is all. Assalamu Calaykum.
  2. Cadaadiska ay Somaliland ku hayso reer Sool waad iska garanaysaa, laakin Puntland dadka sida General Duke ma oga in ay Puntland cadaadis ku hayso. Cadaadiska aan ka hadlayo waxa weeye, reer Sool way isxukumi karaan hadii loo amaan galiyo dhulkooda, umana baahna Somaliland iyo Puntland toona. Sool aad ayey uga danbaysaa meelaha kale waayo waxay noqotay meel loo soo dagaal tago (battleground). Somaliland iyo Puntland waan in ay ka baxaan, Sool loo daayo Garaadkeeda in uu xukumo waxna ka qabsadaan. Somaal, hadii aad ka soo horjeedo Somaliland iyo Puntland, maxay kula tay haday Sool is xukunto iyadu lafteedu oo local government ay samaystaan? salaam calaykum.
  3. My hometown boy mr. Me, Believe me it has been debated, but since Somaliland is here to stay anyway, then what is the point of the debate. It's waste of time and breath, at least that is what I think.
  4. Good point Horn, All Somalis have distinct territories, we must respect these territories. For example, the tribes from Hargeysa cannot claim Sool and Sanaag for the most part, if they do, they are in error. The same applies to the folks from Bari, Nugaal, Mudug, who for whatever reason claim a place on the Southern end of Somalia, Kismayo as their own. It doesn't make anysense. Somalis, each and every tribe has his own territory, but to say we own this end and the other end from opposite end of the map, doesn't make any sense to me at least.
  5. Or could it be that no one wants to waste his/her time on this over discussed topic. May be Mr. Me do some back peddling and see what was said by both sides of the aisle on this same subject before you make any assumptions. May be no one wants to view the same old episode over and over again, may be that is why. I think, people are at work and about their business, rather than stare on computer screen 24/7 like some of us here, just may be.
  6. Hello Soo maal, I would never stand by and support the idealogy of a politician who has been the source of trouble and has been the cause that made me leave my homeland. The homeland that I loved, the land that I owned, the land I grew up. Horaa looyidhi: haybad waxaad ku leedahay dhulkaaga hooyo, waana lama huraaneh, hagar la'i wax ugu qabo. The above statement is something taken away from me by folks like Riyale Kahin, Abdullahi Yusuf, so I have no reason why I should back those spear headed criminals. But unfortunately, some people feel so passionately attached to these folks and that is unfortunate. It was just that Mr. Me made me bring few things that I would never want to bring up, but he begged so I had to provide him of what I thought of the situation. I am a bit offended when someone takes the comments like Ghalib, a criminal from within his own tribe and commited crimes from other tribes as a member of the SNM, to be glorified as though he has something good to add to the somali situation. Whatever the situation in our homeland, he is far from it, therefore he shouldn't have a say in this. that is all. salamu calayku.
  7. Garaad Canood, saaxib, Reer Sool iyo Sanaag wax xumaan uma qabo, wanaag iyo walaaltimo iyo waliba diinta Islaamka ah ayaa naga dhaxaysa. Taa ka bacdi, Anigu waligay ma odhan haloo diido Sool iyo Sanaag inay dhiibtaan ra'yigooda. Waxay rabaan iyaga ayuunbaa garanay iyo Ilaahay. Reer Sool iyo Sanaag, kuwaa reer Burco sida ay igu yihiin ayuunbay igu yihiin marka aan runta ku hadlo, wax xumaan uma hayo. Beelaha halkaa dagana waxbadan ayaa naga dhaxeeya aniga shakhsi ahaantayda. Haday noqoto reer ahaan iyo walibana daris ahaan. Markaa walaal, Ilaahay aan ka cabsano ayuunbaa leeyahay oo aan beenta iyo ruwaayada aan iskugu sheekaynayno aan ka baxno. Waligay anigu waan ka soo horjeeday in ciidamo lageeyo Sool oo u dagaal ka dhaco waay maati ayaa kudhimanaysa, laakin anigu siyaasiyiinta iyo siyaasada Somalidu halka ay marayso ayuunbaan ka hadlayaa, wax dadka laftooda khusaynaya maaha. Dhamaad, walaal, Garaad Caano ilaahay ha kuu barakeeyo Las Anod,Sool. Waxaana ka rajaynayaa in aad mar idinku is xukuntaan oo cidna waxiina idiin qoodayn haday ahaato Somaliland ama fatuudland, waligay ra'yigaygu sidaa ayuun buu ahaa, ahaan doona nah. waad mahadsan tay walaal adoo rali ah. Assalamu calaykum.
  8. assalamu Calaykum, I am glad that you believe in unity and that you would like to see all somalis come under one nation. Mr. Me get my point here though, because I am thinking the same thing of whether you are reading what I have to say in this or not. The case of succesion is irrelevant in this discusion since you have droped Somalias current status quo regarding about Abdullahi Yusuf and the courts, it has alot to do with this topic although you may say otherwise. Without taking too much time, my point is, whatever heroic that was done by our founding forefathers, it doesn't mean anything today for we are sitting on foreingn soil in exile. That was destroyed, so let us think ahead, I am in no way accusing you of believing in Somaliwayne, but the issue is deeper than you think sxb. the issue isn't about one particular place secceding, but rather the whole of what use to be called former Somali republic is in the mix of bad times. If you think seccesion is the only problem that we have today, then I say you are not being fair with everyone here, the problems are far worst and extensive. So without going to any history lesson, you need to sit back and think about how to resolve this issue without blind folding yourself and directing your comments towards one region. Why does it have to be all about Somaliland, why can't you not see the problems in the south, in Puntland, and elsewhere? There are many other issues that need to be priortized before the issue of Somaliland. But lately this Somaliland thing has become a crime I gues. All this authors are spending their energy just to try to put down those people who have worked hard to try to bring some stability to their region, why can't they see the peace and prosperity that has been reached over there rather than focusing on the negativity that they might have. Anyone who brings some peace and stability to any Somali village should be thanked I say. It doesnt' hurt to be against Somaliland, but sometimes poeple need to get their points across in little bit more civilized way. There are many southerners in this forum that are agaisnt Somaliland's seccesion yet get their points across without reporting every little negative things that happens or being said against Somaliland. In reality, beyond the seccesion, these people are your people, why can't you be happy for them, maybe that would be better for them and may be you would get better tasting response from the folks from Somaliland if only you were approaching the issue in unbaised way and not raising every bit of negativity from there. Let me make my point clear in case, the issue of why we Somalis are failing to reach our potential is far from one region namely Somaliland. It's a problem facing us all collectively, so either raise it all and bring answers to the table or leave it all. thanks asalamu Calaykum.
  9. Islam is pro unity, what unity? So Somalia under a criminal Abdullahi Yusuf has become something that is associated with Islam, give me break. That is going to far I must tell ya. Islam is pro unity only under the right leader and that doesn't exist, not under Mujrims. Secondly, you are starting to reveal your true colors by starting the Qabiil talk. You said you were born in Hargeisa and raised there, but yet, because of your qabiil afflitions you have built so much hatred for those living in Hargeisa although it's your hometown. You have not said something positive about your hometown since you have joined this place and that is unfortunate. First you need to change your attitude toward your hometown. There many positives that are currently under way in Hargeisa, but you are glued to exposing any negativity that it might have. You need to thing outside of your qabiil box.Hence you have posted an article written by one that caused the latest civil war that destroyed your hometown, Hargeisa. In addition, you are right it does come down to greed, qabiil, and power, but that applies to every Somali tribe and region, not only one specific region and tribe.
  10. Assalamu Calaykum, Mr. Me, I would like to ask you where exactly is this Somalia and Somali unity aka Somaliweyne that you are braging about? isn't Djabuti, NFD, Western Somalis part of the deal? isn't the South (God help them) who are in turmoil until recently part of your agenda of Somali unity. Somaliland and Southern Somalia is not it. They are only 2/5 of the Somaliweyne. I am in no way trying to defend politicians' cause by any means, but if I were to discuss the Sool and Sanaag situation which is claimed by both Somaliland and Puntland. Although some might say it belongs to Puntland, because of clan affliations. However the counter argument for that would be that it's part of Somaliland, because of colonial borders which was established by the British in pre 1960s. These same borders exist between Kenya, Ethiopia and all over the world, so it's not something that only regards the Somalis. Is it good that Somalis are divided? that I can't give a clear answer at this moment, because what did they accomplish when they were united, which was basically nothing to be recalled. Except few years of horumar that the dicatatorship regime has brough. If we look at clan wise and deal with facts in Sool and Sanaag, I'd say western Sanaag including the capital of sanaag; Cerigabo is populated by the Hargeisa, Burco, Berbera aka "traingle" tribe, in Western Sool, Caynabo to be exact, from Oog to Caynabo city itself is also populated by the same tribe that is Burco and Hargeisa. Sool is for the most part belongs to tribe that lives in Puntland but many districts on the western corner are populated by clans from where you consider the "traingle". With all that being said, the argument isn't really who relates to who or what clan resides in what area. But rather the argument should be why Somalis need each other? That should be your main aim. You will not win the argument that Sool and Sanaag cannot be part of Somaliland, because they don't relate to those living in Hargeisa, Burco and so forth. If that was the argument, then what is the difference between Awdal and Las Anod, both of them cities are populated by tribes different then those living in the "traingle" as you put it. I believe as long as a worlord like Abdullahi Yusuf is in charge of "Somalia" of today, and a criminal is in charge of " Somaliland", then no one should talk of unity and greater Somalia, because by God that is far from being accomplished or being reached. As long as everyone is siding with their clan criminal and calling him a leader of a nation or a state, then what country do you have to be proud of? Let us be honest, the author needs to realize that there is no such thing as Somali unity as of today, it used to be back in the old days when everyone was nationally motivated. But today, everyone is tribally motivated and everyone would like to see his/her tribe succeed and not much care is given to nationhood if that is what you speak for in your argument. The current status quo shall stand until everything is reshaffle and recreated, meaning Abdullahi Yusuf should leave his post honorabily, call for vote.I think if you folks give much care about Somali unity, you would back the courts who are being supported by many people from Somaliland and Puntland, they have better chance of bringing the Somalis together. But for whatever reason you have apposed them, calling them terrorists and you have backed Abdullahi Yusuf and the dibad galeen government. Some conditions have to be reached before you can posse any argument of such Mr. Me, show me a stable Southern Somalia, free NFD, free Western Somalis, Djabuti willing to unite with their Somali bretherens, then it would only be fair if these fellow bretherens come to the nagotiotion table and work out their difference in respectful manner. Let us get a little dose of reality ourselves here and we are Somalis, we know exactly what is the other one is talking about. We can't fool one another, so let us be honest to each other and show actions rather than listening someone who has dark history whom is writing basic things that we have heard before behind computer screen who is trying to tell me what is right and what is not right? To Ghalib himself: I cannot except anything no matter what package it comes in from someone who has put his own people in harms way for his own self benefit to tell me what to do. No one can except that, may be Somalis would be reunited without the people like his kind, like Riyale Kahins, Like Abdullahi Yusuf, like Cade Muse. Finally, one last note, didn't you know that Allah doesnt' destroy nation or a people unless they have done some evil things? Yes this is exactly why the Somali people are destroyed, because of hatred directed towards one another, and until that changes, don't expect anything else to change. Allah doesn't change a nation unless individuals change themselves first. Somalis cannot be together until folks like Abdullahi Yusuf and Ghalib still exist in the society and that is a fact that needs not to be overlooked. Assalamu Calaykum.
  11. Mr. Me, since you have posted this article. Let me school you or shall I say give a little history lesson on who exactly this man that we are dealing with. Although he migh have valid points in his writings , he is someone that has very dark history nonetheless. He is a highly educated millitary general hence how powerful his writing is. He joined the SNM in mid 1980s and fought fiercely against the Barre regime. Later when dictator Siad Barre was toppled, he was one of the key members that anounced the UDI (unilateral declation of independence), although some people say he really never believed the whole seccesion thing, nevertheless, he was part and parcell of that situation. in addition, being former police commander of Somalia, and being a member of the SNM isn't the the problems here, although some of you might have slight of different opinion on this, but he was consider the biggest reason that caused the civil war that occured within the I.S.Q. tribe in mid 1990s. He was the one who single handlely took the hand of his tribe or sub clan and dragged them to fight head on against the Cigal adminstration. some of you might ask why? well let say it wasn't for the sake of unitary, however, he was upset about Cigal who hailed from different sub-clan of being the leader. He wanted to be in that position to being the head of the state, hence if he was given that position, I am sure he would be just Riyale Kahin today of being the head of Somaliland and claiming to being a different country and his writing would be vis versa. The truth is, Gen. Ghalib doesn't have much of face, it doesn't really matter how much he writes about the importance of unity and what is good for the Somali people, since he was the reason that hundreds of civilians from Hargeisa, Burco, Berbera, and Salaxley lost their lives after clan warfare that he himself fueled. So, before he starts to put a pen on a paper, he needs to be asked why and why was he the root of the problems that as a direct result caused the deaths and displacement of thousands of innocent civilians from their homes in Hargiesa, Burco and Berbera which were the places that the fighting took place? After he fueled the fire, what did he do? He did what any naftiise usheqayste would, which is run to western country and take Welfare checks. While taking welfare, he continue to utter rubish and nothhing that would benefit anyone anywhere except yes he himself, because of the money that he will gather from the prints of his books. In conclusion, I say this man is utter useless big headed gacan ku dhiigleh iyo dira diraaleh ah. He has no face whatsoever in Somaliland and the rest of Somali peninsula except with few of those who are always in support of any negativity that is being said against the I.S.Q tribe. We need to look at the individual and what he is , and further we need to look at his dark past. because I know that he doesn't mean anything to Somaliweyne nor Somaliland nor anyone else for that matter except he himself. Diraadiraa leh ma libaano. Enough said.
  12. Mr. Me does it hurt if you just look at the situation in little more healthier way rather blowing things out of proportion. Sidaan anigu u arko xaalada: waxa weeye, mr. Dahir Riyaale iyo Yaasinba xaq uma leh mana karo in uu isku diro laba dad oo walaalo ah oo is dhalay, abti iyo ilmaabtiba ah. Labada dhinacba waxa ku jira dad aan wanaagsanayn oo siyaasiyeen ku sheeg ah, kuna shaqeeya una sheeqeeya dantooda. Ma aha in ay dadku raacaan una hadlaan kuwa dhibta ka dhex aloosaya umada Somaliyeed kuwaas oo ah Siyaasiyiinta ku sheega. Hadii ay dhib ka dhex aloosaan umada walaalaha ah ee ku dhaqan dhulkaa isaga ah ayaan saamaxayn maalinta qiyaamaha. Dhinaca kale: hadii aan eego dhinaca kale, ayana aad ayey u litaan dadka madaxda looga dhigay marka laga reebo Garaad Jaamac oo isagu si sharaf leh dadku ay u doorteen. Laakin isagu way iska yar tahay wuxuu ka qaban karo xaalada iyo awood xayuubista iyo cadaadiska ay Puntland ku haysa umada reer Sool. Markaa hadii ay noqon lahayd in ay meesha ka taliyaan madax dhaqameedyo, taana siyaasi xun oo kaliskii talis ah ayuunbaa lagu salidayaa, waana ta ka jirta Sool iyo meelkastaba. Dadku: dadku mar walba waa walaalo, nimaka siyaasiyuuntu waxay doonan ha ku hadadaqaan eh. Meesha loogu baahanyahay in aad ka istaagto: Qof walba oo Muslim ah siiba Somali ah waxaa looga baahan yahay in ay meel uga soo wada jeestaan danbiilayasha qabiilkasta ha ka tirsanadaneh. Dhinac baan raacayaa oo dhinaca kale ayuunba canaanaya meelna kuma gaynayso. Haday yihiin kuwa jooga Somaliland,Puntland, ama koofur Somaliya waxa weeye, waa in meel la iska wada taaga oo aan la siin wax taageerasho ah haba yaraatee, haday tahay mid niyada iyo qalbiga, ama haday tahay mid afkaba ah. Assalamu calaykum.

I don't get it at all. MR. MMA, don't worry bro, they will liberate that jawahiil, Quracjoome, whatever the heck those are. Be patient, every little village can't be librated at once, it's one village at time, so wait your turn sxb. Alleh Ubaahne, there are of us from all corners of the Somali peninsula that posses and hold the same views and believes that you hold. So don't feel alone in this cause, it's indeed WE vs. Ethiopia (the non Muslim ones).
  14. Assalamu Calaykum. As I have said many times before, there is really no point of combating General Duke's comments, because his comments speak for the interest of his uncle Yey and not for the greater good of the Southern Somalis in general. The Somalis in Xamar and Jawhar have made their verdict clear, and their verdict is for them to be governed by the courts and not by so called elected government led by warlord Yey and his animal doctor Geedi. To top it off the so call President of Somalia and his parliament have ignored the voices of the citizens against any move that would bring Ethiopian troops into Somalia and have moved with their plan to bring "peackeeping" force into Somalia anyway. After the people have said NO to bringing Ethiopian troops in the country and yet you insist doing it, then I don't know how much clearer it can get that these power obsessed folks are merely working for the sake of their self interest and not that of the Somali people. It's good enough for me to be convinced that the courts are for the better of the poeple once I saw pictures of thousands upon thousands of Muqdisho citizens holding signs and coming out in support of the Islamic courts. Those images have convinced me enough to say and should convince everyone else who thinks correctly. In addition, the reality on the ground matters rather than listening to biased western reports calling the courts blood thirst terrorists. For those who have fallen for the those reports from the western Media and for those who are in support of their clan interests,I say shall we take your views and opinions which you have composed from your confy western home living room, or shall we take the path and hear the views of those who are in the mix of all things, i.e. Muqdisho, Jawhar, Buuloxawo, Beledweyne etc. I say the reality on the grounds matters the most, not so much of what a fadhi ku dirir has to say. Let there be justice in Somali lands and May Allah bless those who are working for the cause of Allah. Amin. Peace. Assalamu calaykum.
  15. with the help of the Xabashis that is. Come on General, you couldn't say that few months ago when the TFG was sweating on its suits.
  16. Where are the UK folks in here to answer this question, or are they in the chat rooms like usual? Come on peeps answer the Q? are Somali students bullied in schools?
  17. This apparently the latest celebrations of Jabuti's celebrations of its independence from France. It's actually quite impressive with the show that its arm forces have put on, not that it can match Somalia's old days but very good nonetheless.

  21. ladies you don't know anything about soccer, offcourse the team that hasn't put up one good game as of yet and yet finds itself sitting in the quarterfinals will win; and I mean Brazil. The final game will feature Brazil vs. Germany. Mark my word, with Brazil coming on top. The line goes Brazil 3- Germany 1.
  22. I am happy although I could be angry, sad, why? because I am a Muslim, I know the truth. I know where and who to turn to when I need help (Allah). Why should I worry and be upset at life when I know that I have been granted free with the best and most expensive thing; Islam. So yes, I am . Alexus and Yas, can you tell us why you two good girls are upset? maybe as your cyber friends we can do something to help you feel good about yourselves and lives. Smile, you are a Muslims.
