mr. me, the state of Awdal, which you pointed that it has oil is pro Seccesion, you should have just seen the welcoming that Ina Warabe got, and how they demostrated when Geedi said that Somaliland was of Somalia. Secondly, it's nonsense, if Las Anod area has oil, so will Togdheer. The land is merely of the same climate, I am sure there is oil, from Saaxil area and throughout Togdheer. Thus far the area that those American companies have looked is the area, which you may think has oil, but Iam sure given more research, the whole area is rich with oil. Third, speaking of valuable minerals saaxib. Boy o boy, you should have seen it the area around Berbera, aside from cement mountains, that area is filled with all sorts of chimpney stones, and other valuable treasure. There is nothing that Southern has that we don't have other than maybe that we lack quantity of Banana and galay. loooool. ps. getting along starts with respecting with others needs, if you want to get respect you must respect others. And stay clean of which that will cause them to not respect you.

Here are mind: 1. What Cigal letter? it said the name cigal at the signature, but what other proves are there. Besides since when can one allow to refer himslef as the 'servent'? 2. Faysal Cali Warabe (1 man) utter something, and mr.me made the assertion it was 'they' so who is they? 3. Second, when did 'we' have said that the queen is our mother or that we are English orphans? Allegations, so we need proves dude. I agree with Nabadshe, mr. me is filled with nothing but hate. Those kinda of creatures are destined to not survive for long, they age pretty fast.

viva Puntland for crushing the SNM forces..

Cumar aka Suleiyman, I have to say I like the way you put together the English phrases with such skill, however it's all words words meaning absulately nothing. If I remember correctly, you were defending Col. Barre Huuraale, and were saying he is not that bad of individual, well what transformed since then....you tell me. All in all, history tell us what Siyad Barre was. With the exception of few years, he was a blood sucking SOB, a dictator who didn't give a damn about anyone else but his qabiil, offcourse you being his kinsmen and at the same coming out in defense for him proves me right. The SNM, the USC, the SSDF, and all other soup of letters that followed were as a result of the oppression of the dicatotor. He oppressed his people, divided tribes and pitted them against one another. Every tribe then set up a rebel movment to topple his regime. After they did so, the rebel group themselves turned against one another as result of his divide and rule system which he used. This would never have happened if his regime wasn't oppressing its people, it would never have happened if he simply stepped aside when his term ended, just like any good old dictator he hang on to power until he was removed with force. You cannot sugar coat and make a dictator look saintly all of sudden, just because he related to you. Horn, Yes, you can discuss history, however when you distorn history in favor of your adeero Afwayne in order to make him look the 'AAbow' that he was, we will challenge it and prove you wrong.
-
So what are we yapping on about now? Siyad Barre was ruthless SOB period, there is no way to sugar coat that. He is the reason that you are all stuck on foreign soil as immigrants and the reason that your country is in flames as we speak. Lik it or not that is the plain truth.

First of all take a look at the answer you started asking, then look at the answers I have provided. I don't really think you are reading my replies really carefully. First of all, as for as case to present to the world. Though you have heard about it numerous times before. it's vialbe case to convice the world. The case that Somaliland was granted nationhood by the British in 1960 few days before joining union with the South and a result of disasterous union, Somaliland has decided to return to seperate entity today. I don't want spend too much time on this one, as you have heard of it before. Let me proceed to the most important one. Which you and many other are still over looking. I realy don't understand how you can take this lightly? Can anything be agreed upon without all parties involved, can house be built without a written contract from its owner. NO NO. In this case Somalilanders, the majority of them that is do NOT want to do anything with Southern Somalia. A union was tried, Somaliwayne was pursued, the outcome is nothing but a failure. Now Somalilanders feel it's time to look for another way to catch with the world. Another way to finally enjoy prosperity which majority of them never saw during the terror regime of Siyad Barre. This is their wish, they wish to go down their own way, it's called self determination. It's basic human right mr. che, and nothing is far more important or non is better case, if one tell you I wish not to do that, but I wish to do this. Whether you may think it's wrong or not, it's their call, its their survival that is depending on them. In addtion, I am still to this day amused on how some Southern Somalis are still arguing for Somaliwayne which they never experienced or saw. I think it's utter fantasy. And the people I know will never be able to attain it. What people am I talking about? well the people who can't even get along in ONE single village. Whoever came up with the idea of Somaliwayne was dreaming, it was a good dream, however it has been ruined by previous regimes, and the people have changed their mind about it, particularly Somalilanders. The want to try another dream called seperate country call Somaliland. There is nothing wrong with it, and there is nothing terrible about it. You can preach on how we are same poeple with same faith and etc...however the fact of the matter is so do many other countries around the world. They are all doing fine, let us not waste our time on denying Somalilanders of their rights and wishes, you should rather work on your own house then maybe work on how you would coexist with Somaliland peacefully. That is common sesne based on the realities on the ground, and not a fantasy danced here with by many of you.

Che, Dont dismiss the above quote completely saaxib as there is some truth to it. I am more than positive that Pland followed the positive steps taken by Somaliland when they established Puntland state of Somalia in 1998. Good neighbor= peace. Somalialnd and Puntland have living side by side peacefull for almost a decade now, and mostly peace has prevailed in between them with exception of few skirmishes here and there. If Somaliland acted maniacal, they could have started war with Puntland over the disputed regions of Sool and Eastern Sanaag, I am speaking of an all out war with its neighbor. However that hasnt happen yet.

Originally posted by me: ^What do you suggest then? You are always saying that but never offering an alternative. Edit: and how can unity be in one clans interest? When someone cheers on for the dictator Siyad Barre and his autrocities commited against innocent lives and then with the same breath preaches about somali unity has to be remarkable stance which obviously confuses me and many others here. First of all, I don't see why and many others here are arguing about somethings that may or may never be accomplished, when you should be worrying about the survival of the somali people in general. If Somalilanders say they don't want to join the rest of Somalia with another Union ( note the rest of Somalis aren't united even for the same cause) then I think for the sake of surival and peace, they shouldn't be forced to anything against their will. Because we know if that happens, the whole of Somali society will be even further in dark hole and nothing will ever get done. Pro Somali wayne folks can do two things here. 1. They can wish the Somalilanders the best of luck . And even though they have seceded they are still somalis, Muslims, therefore every Somali has the right to live in that land. There can be two countries living side by side peacefully and in harmony. Two countries with even the same enemy and same interests, who knows maybe down the road they may join altogether, but at least one thing is clear that both somalis on either side will not be involved in bloody wars, and would live peacefull along side each other. Sida aakhir lagu maseegayo, laakin lugahan la iska haysto ayaa aakhiro lagu seegayaa oo waliba lagu kala fogaanaya. 2. Second option: To deny Somalilanders' wish to secede. After having refused another union, if Southern Somalis start an out war with them. Then not only will any future nationhood be at risk, but you may kiss the bidings between Somalis good bye. They may no longer be Somalis. This will only distance people from each other, it will not help Somaliwayne nor will it help anyone else. My assertions are based on clear understandings of the reality on the ground. Let us not get caught up with fantasies which are not even light years away from being attained.
-
mr. Me First of all, you don't know a thing about referendum. As usual it would be held within the territory that is claiming to secede. If the majority of that area, in this case Somaliland vote 'yes' in the ballot for seperate entity, then that will go into effect, giving that region a legitimate reason to secede. Secondly, the persons you listed do not and cannot make decisions for others. The decision always rests with the respectable populace in Somaliland. If they say no to unity, then theirs counts even if hell is to breake loose, simple as that saaxib.

Elysian, ouch....sorry to hear that inabti. read the labeling sister and be careful around those things.

Khalaf, loool...hats off to you sir. Although the persons responsible for such horrible acts will meet a painful consequence if they don't repell from it, however at the same time people have to be really careful in protecting themselves. Yes sometimes, ladies or guys might want to show bit too much on some cyber exchange with their whatever, they should think twice else they will be advertised on Somaligate.coooooom loool Sucks to be them.
-
LOOOL...wow all of sudden super charged Horn has showed up. First let me start with the issue you have with my name. Abti, red sea= bada cas, simply its' Somali term this time. Or perhaps you are refering to the Mujaahid part, that is just my nick as well, I was never a Mujaahid since I have never participated an actual Jihad kay mr. Horn. Sow waxba ha isku mashquulin kaas. Secondly, Somaliland was defeated, however the defeat was a tactical defeat done to itself. Offcourse Riyale is to be blamed since he is runing the whole show. It's like Saying don't blame the failures in Iraq on Bush. You have to always blamed the man at helm, in this case Riyaale. The defeat you are pointing out is military defeat. Actually in reality and according to reliable sources, the most frustating part was Somaliland troops wining the actual gun battle, yet losing it at the end tactically. They lost only 2 soldiers and went far beyond Dhahar. All in all, there is no war now, and Somaliland has already excepted defeat by calling it 'ceebtii ugu wayneed ee Somaliland soo marta'. P.S, wazzup with your name as well saaxib?
-
Horn, You have already been given the answer. Some people tell me that Somaliland is nothing but desert hell hole and that if they secede from the rest of Somalia, they have zero chance of surviving. Little do they know the rich natural gas that we are sitting on top of . Take some of the middle Eastern countries as example, they are at extodiranary level today, because of oil. What does the South have? you are merely sitting on Galay (corn) and Banana. That is basically what we will "miss" the most, even given a money I am sure those farmers down Shabeele river would compete getting involved with business oppurtunity with oil rich Somaliland. Mr. me, Thanks for the info very informative. Btw...you wanted me to say you had a point, aaaah, it's kinda a hard really. It was more like calaacal. However how bout me, you said it in private messege if you can recall.

loooool@ Dafoorqiiq...ahaha, Waryaa Nabadhshe, dadkani ma run bay yaqaanan. I know Somalialnd websites exaggerate as well, laakin some Puntland sites, I have to say man o man. They stated exactly like that, that the Pland troops were nearing Ceerigabo.

mr. me, Eastern Sanaag is the place I am talking about. Xiin, lool@ bisinka, inan yar baan ku mooday...lool
