  1. Hey Assalamu Calaykum, This is perhaps one of the toughest things according to me to put in context or to put it in plain and simple way in order for others to understand how it works. Why pray or work hard to get to Jannah or avoid hell fire if your destiny has already been pre set before you were even born? I as a Muslim person believe and I never question these but how would you convince a non Muslim or a Muslim who raises a question about this?
  2. Thanks brothers. Wealth of knowledge spewed here.
  3. you know what I might just try because I feel like i am dared to do so by Kool kat.
  4. BTw...Noami_B. No nice guys in London, no problem. (:
  5. ^Thanks walal. I think everyone should. Without Quran ramadan can't feel like Ramadan. But I started from suratul Naas and I am at suratul Jinn right now . At this pace I should be able to at least finish the Quran twice during this month and probably once more in the last 10 of Ramadan. Thanks walal once again.
  6. Assalamu Calaykum ...dear friends especially our lovely sisters in this section we call it 'women' section. You might be thinking where is this dude going with this. Or perhaps you might thinking that I am going to make some kinda of list that would some how illstrate what a worldy perfect guy would be. But naah I am not going towards that direction. However, as many of us are aware when good men enter paradise by Allah's will (we all hope to get Insha Allah) they are rewarded with many things among which is the woman whose artiries and viens could be seen through her bones. A woman so perfect that she will never say or utter anything unpleasant. Always kind, loving and caring. . That is for the men allright. But what about good women, do they get anything like that when enter paradise Insha Allah.? Here is the good news! YES...they will Insha Allah tacalaa. All the good women who enter paradise will get the perfect man. One who is handsome like we can't imagine, kind, caring and all that you ever dreamed of and more. however unlike men, you won't get partners in multiples. Though you won't need, because this one man will be all that you ever will ask for from a man and more. Ever so handsome ever so kind and forever caring and loving. Just imagine this sisters, wouldn't you love to have this perfect man? I think you would all love to have him. That is what awaits good sisters. I pray and hope that each one of you get there Insha Allah. Amin Amin. Thanks, S.lamu calaykum.

Originally posted by -Lily-: This is a shockingly silly question, I'm under the impression that you cannot eat after the adhan for the morning prayer takes place, but my Aisian friend insists you can eat as long as its dark. Well? walal dont' rely on being dark and what not. Offcourse it will be dark, because the sun isn't up yet. For example here in the U.S. The fajr prayer is around 5:20. I usually wake up around 4:15 and I have all that time in between to eat do little prayer. If it's 5:20 and time for Athan than you can only finish what you started, but you cannot keep eating or start eating then. It has to be stopped right after you finished the piece you have in your mouth or hand. If you want to have good suxuur, wake up litle early and give yourself little time. Thanks,

It is dark for a while after we pray, in any case in London we cannot tell because of the clouds, rain etc Let us say you are eating and all of sudden the Athan sounds off, you can finish anything you had in your hands or mouth. You may not continue to try to level whatever that was in the plate though. Just simply finish what you had in your mouth already or in your hand. I can't remember the last time I have seen the sun set (well i did back home but not here), so we rely on the schedule...that works for us and I think it should for you.
  13. Assalamu calaykum, You see this is 1 and only month out of the whole year. It is a month where one needs to do his/her best for his/her sins to be forgiven. It's a month where one needs to spend more time than usuall in reading and reciting the Quran, repenting to Allah for their past misfortunes. However it's troubling for some of our sisters (it's not their fault) that they have to get their knifes and cooking materials out to be the cook for the month. Ramadan is not time to have your favorite meals, dishes or simply it's not the month of consuming as much food as possible. This holy month of Ramadan is for the soul to be desciplined, yes self despiline. What exactly does that mean you may ask? The Quran puts it nicely: Regarding fasting, the Quran says: "O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint . [al-Baqarah 2:183] Translation: Yusuf Ali What exactly are we restraining from? We restraint from allot of things and large amounts of food is one of them. For most of us we eat and consume all sorts of food that we want, we drink (non alcoholic beverages) at will, without a restraint. However this holy month is the month to show 'restraint' from those things that we do on other basis. But as it seems, for most of us, this is the month of 'cook out'. Our sisters or wives are in the kitchen from noon to sun set cooking and preparing all sorts of meals for us to "break the fasting". So what about them?? Don't they have Allah to pray to, haven't they commited any sins that they want to be forgiven, dont' they need to read the Quran? Offcourse they do. Everyone one and that includes females as well needs to spend less time having anything to do with food and more time prostrating, praying, reciting the Quran etc... So I advice the sisters to get out of the kitchen and work for their deeds and not anyone else. Sure this doesn't mean that they shouldn't cook anything at all. Not all. Just cook little bit. When people are fasting all day, they won't be able to eat alot anyways, so there is no reason for the siters to be in the kitchen for so long. Cook and prepare something that is enough, then you may go ahead and face Allah' mercy and kindess instead of the heat in the kitchen. Remember sisters, this is just one month. If it's gone it's gone and only Allah knows if you'll be able to make to the next Ramadan. Take advantage of it. Lastly, the The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, “What a loss it would be for one to witness Ramadan and not gain from it forgiveness". Thanks, A/lamu Calayum waraxma.
  14. Originally posted by -: The sad predicament with you and the courts you so bindly support is the complete lack of appreciation for what Somalia has went through the last sixteen. Dear mr. Che, Somalia has been going through alot of difficulties. Civil wars, inter clan warfares, warlord vs. warlords, isbaarooyin, you name it. However at the come of the ICU, you and I everyone knows what they did to those who were the reason for the sufferings of the people. They chased out the worlords, created calm in xamar never seen in the civil war era. So in this case if anyone is being appriciative I think it's mr. kashafa for supporting a movement which has brought dawn of hope, though short lived, but Insha Allah he is also hopeful that it shall return. In that case, instead of blaming him for being hopeful and opptumisitic you should join him. With that sentiment above that I quoted, you seem to be either confused or arrogantly just shouting rondomely without knowledge of what you speak. Else you wouldn't make it seem that the ICU is the problem instead of seeing them for what they are, the solution for somalia' problem that we have long awaited.
  15. Midakale waxaa iga yaabisay Kashafow dadkan sida mr. che iyo NG halkay kulaaban ama ay odhandoonaan waa 'wadankayagii' hadii kaba soo horjeedaan ama aysan warba kahayn wixii ufiican 'wadankooda'. Hada bal ninkan layidhaa ufiirso NG waxay ila tahay isagu somalilander walaa somalian toona maqorna ee waa carab cara Ingriis dagan sida ay ila tahay...walee iyaga ayaa cirka wadan ku og cause England nor land of Arabia aint their country. PS: Geeljire well put and I might add that we don't hate Christians nor do we hate Ethiopia for no apparent reason. Simply we are against the idea of what Ethiopia is trying to do in Somali lands politically. Eritrea has never invaded nor has dislodge our hopes and dreams like Ethiopia has. There is no comparison whatsoever.

  21. That kinda of statement is not for the doubters to swallow. Just watch this base saxibayaal.
  22. Well even Huseen caydiid jr. is present in that meeting. As long as these folks are not given any serious positions then this conference should be a success. Just because they are there doesn't neccesarily determined the success or lack thereof of this conference.
  23. I don't get it Fahiye. What do you mean walale?
