Remind me of what we are talking about again? Oh yeah that guy claiming non somalis of being Somalis.

Baashi, I see. But why is it when someone points the finger at the current TFG and its doing that they turn the page 20 years earlier just so they can find ways to level the playing field? I find that as a way to say as sort of saying, 'we are not the only ones', which is sad by the way.

Adan Ade was great man. He was the first President in africa to give up power at the end of his term PEACEFULLY AND QUITELY. When you look at it the only ones that could be termed as politicians all came from early years. 1. Igal 2. Adan ade 3. Abdirsahiid Sharmarke. The rest ruled by the barrel of the gun or seek things through it.

To this day it amazes me how he managed to dismantle the SNM, pit them against one another and still remained as a head of the state and made them submit to his rule. A rare feature was also that he was real politician who actually made a name for himself without the barrel of the gun. From the begining to the end, he influenced somalis politics and Somaliland in particular until his death Ilahay ha unaxariistee. From: Xornimo doonkii-midnamadii, ilaa iyo dhalashadii Somaliland wuu joogay. ruug cadaa Siyaasi ah ayuu ahaa. Oo xaraan iyo xalaal wax kudoonyaabe wuu helay wixii uurabay. What are your thoughts.

Puntland versus Somaliland on the treatment of Somali IDPs
RedSea replied to Naxar Nugaaleed's topic in Politics
Naxarow, What will you have to say the following quote: Originally posted by Naxar Nugaaleed: The majority arrived in Hargeisa after the recent increase in fighting in Mogadishu in November. The Somaliland Government has allowed numerous people displaced by the conflict in southern and central Somalia to enter Somaliland and find safety there. The displaced 24 journalists are being supported by the officially-recognized Somaliland Journalists Association (SOLJA). -
I am not in mood to argue. But to simply put he is somali, this is somalia. His country has been illegaly been invaded. His people either killed, raped or sent to exile from their own country. The enemy of Islam and Muslims is united, why can't we? How come we seem to be turning blind eye to those forces of evil who have combine against us, how come we keep making excuses that the ICU made mistkas instead of ignoring all that and focusing the big issue at hand, illegal occupation of a whole nation.

Baashi, Give it up. You wanted the old man to leave behind some legacy like that of Siyad Barre, he did get the chance, but sadly he screwed it up, because he has little or no understanding of politics. Simple minded and hard headed colonel that he is. Xiinfaniin, Do you agree the assertion made by Baashi that the SNM doings in terms of getting weapons from Ethiopia is comparable if not worst than the current TFG?

^It doesn't matter who he talks about. The bottomline, he is in his country and defending it rightfully so.

Originally posted by Baashi: Now be a good sport and give it a try! What in the green earth makes you think that those who cross the border in the height of national war and rode on enemy tanks and fought along the enemy against the nation are not “collaborationist” of the worst kind? How dare you ask such silly question is not gonna cut it buddy. Baashi, During the height of 1977-78 war eh? If we speak of enemy collobrater, history will tell that it was indeed Abdullahi Yusuf and his SDF later named SSDF that first rebeled and did so during the time you speak, time of conflict with Ethiopia, '78. It was he Abdullahi Yusuf and his SDF/SSDF that brough the first ever Ethiopian army battalion across the border and successfully taken control of towns in Mudug before Siyad Barre declared state emergency. Little history 101 if you don't mind.

Ghanima , That was well thought of piece and a inspirational. Thanks for timely reminder as well and thanks for taking the time to do so.

Originally posted by Baashi: However you, of all people, are not in position to level that sort of accusation against anyone let alone against TFG. You are SNM sympathizer and pro secessionist at that. If you were willing to collaborate with Mengist junta at the height of the nationalistic war why are you objecting to TFG’s “success” of having the same enemy, the one that empowered you to take Burco and Hargeisa, empower them to take Benadir? No another verbal avalanche needed here old pal just simple pointed answer will do. The SNM didn't bring Ethiopian foot soldiers into the country. They did get weapons, though from the peek of the wars in the North, htey were without Ethiopias' support after Siyad Barre signed treaties with Mengistu. However, his point (oodwayne) that Abdullahi yusuf if he were man enough should have gotten weapons if he wanted to from Ethiopia and fought head on. But Abdullahi Yusuf went on different level by coming along with Ethiopian tanks and his pal Geedi coming in Ethiopian chopper to Somalia's capital. There is absulately no comparison. Midi hub ayuu soo qaatay, wuu naf baxay waanu adkaaday aakhirkii. Midina hub, ciidamo aanu lahayn ayuu yidhi kaalay iiqabta dalkaygii.

Emperor, Why are you hitting the exit when you made a real accusation. It's very simple question that was asked. If you trully honored Zayid Mohamed A. Hassan's struggle against the British. In which the reason he fought against them were because they invaded his country illegally and thus was resisting that, and you honor him because of that, then it would makes perfect sense toask as to why you are not against the illegal invasion of Ethiopia of Somalia as well? Or are you saying, I support the Zayyid for his resistance against the British occupiers, but yet I don't oppose but in fact support The Ethiopian illegal invasion which hasn't been approved by the AU,EU, and the U.N and more importantly the majority of the somali people. What is the difference? Do explain Emperor.

Originally posted by Suldaanka: The streets were full of goods; all kinds of goods and in the open. The amount of goods lying in the open was amazing. We asked our selves how could all these goods be transported at night and returned in the morning. And do they have such big warehouses that can store all these goods. We decided to ask them. We asked the guys who were selling some electronics, how do they transport all those goods at night to safe custody. The guys gave us a big smile and said it is not what you think. Nobody in his right mind can take these goods to storage houses. It is both difficult and expensive. We don’t have even storage houses. We sell here and store here in the open. At night, when business comes to an end, we just cover the goods and leave it here. We come back in the morning and uncover it. That is all. “Are you implying that there are no thieves here in Hargeisa”? We asked.“We are not implying anything. We are just telling you facts. But since you mentioned thieves and theft, we are glad to tell you that we have made an agreement with the union of the thieves to take care of our goods in our absence. Since then our goods are in good safe hands… the good hands people… the thieves. The competition as you see is tough here and one has to be innovative to survive,” they said. Tuug sharaf leh!! Thanks for posting this Suldaan.

I am not one to read minds, but we KNOW that you support the TFG and Abdullahi Yusuf. You have stated gazzilion times in here. So what do you mean you don't support the invasion?
