^We're supposed to agree on mutations of foreign words. Anigu BanGi baan u aqaanaa. They're both wrong in my buug. Away with them! Ng.. There's only one called Al Masraf here... Every other Bangi waa Bank Fulan. Ma ilbaxnimaa? LOL.

Kayd? Isn't it a store room? I was thinking of something more specific. Arabs use bank too, so I suppose there isn't...
-
Where's your teaching spirit...?? I have too much H/W as it is (which I'm avoiding btw). just tell me.
-
Horta, isn't there a Somali word for bank? Sayid, Adaan ku sheegaayay, noh.
-
So predictable.

Comparing Saudi to Britain is a huge leap and quiet silly TBH. It would be fair and more useful for the Somali context if comparison was made between sharia based and other tribal but secular Arab states, like Saddams Iraq or even Tunisia.

The Economist is simplifiying the issue as it's mostly lesbians / laymoonaat who dress like that, it's not just about baggy jeans and trainers.. I remember reading something about them harrasing other women on ladies only days @ the beach. LOL.

Some have. Others put up with it. The has always been the case with regards to Berbera or any hot coastal city. On the most part the city does seem a little deserted but the central area was very busy. It's a beautiful city, my favourit in fact and I hope it regains it's former glory. There were some gorgeous houses by the airport and I can't imagine why anyone would desert them.

Originally posted by Warrior of Light: Anyway as long the baby is healthy and kicking, he/she is the cutiest thing Ive ever seen. Mashallah, may they grow to be strong and wise. Though going through the article, deformed babies are bound to have a tough life if not accepted. Some mothers stand up for their child and love them unconditionally while others abuse their child with taunts and verbal abuse. May Allah protect us from having deformed babies and if tested may we love them unconditionally.Amin. Ameen, sis. You are right about deformed / disabled babies.. I've worked with disabled kids in the past and some parents, especially those from eastern cultures (inc. Somalis) had this tendency to feel ashamed and often hide them from people. Taunts and people's attitudes don't help either. My heart breaks for them, wallaahi. May Allah protect them, I'A.

^It's lovely in the winter months. Hodman, It was easy to forgive that little mishap because the crew were a sweet bunch. The service wasn't so bad, actually.

LOL. What's a thread about homosexuality without a dose of some good ol' pop psychology, aye? Most of the nomads views stem from religious beliefs / cultural norms. Even if we were to take this silly study seriously, you'll find that the sample aren't representative of the folks on this site...

^blasphemous to be percise. On the review, at least he got a decent meal.. We were given a cold McChicken Arabia for breakfast which they've picked up at DXB because they ran out of food.

^LOL. Tell me about it. At this rate, I might start making outrageous claims myself. Waaryaa.. Loved by those you love aa? My feelings are very hurt..

^The stretching was the most painful part, I was in my element with the kicks. LOL. I take this isn't a holiday then? At least you're well enough to walk in the heat, waliba. I will force you to tell me the gory details one day. C&H It's still low calorie - I think the link is for the extra easy plan- people who don't have much to lose or those who love their food too much. Anyways, how is the atkins going?

Wuxuu ka baqaayaa inay people like me dawarsadaan.

^I'd buy anything you write, Adam. Just make it good. Welcome back, wlaalo. Hope all is well. I read everything, even get book recommendations from my little friends. I love chic lit though I mostly read war related novels.

I've started kick boxing, didn't realise the amount of work involved. Fun way to keep fit! All these diets sound a bit iffy. I was put on something similar to this by my nutritionist a few years back, I liked it cos it's healthy but not forbidding. Shehehhehehe. Get well soon, my love. Please, be good to yourself. xx

^Subxan Allah. I'm find it hard to respond to respectfully. Please go and learn deenta before you insist on speaking for Allah.

^Britain, France Italy didn't bring guntiino, sadex qaydh and khafiif dirac. Honestly, we should stop scapegoating the west for every evil. Somalis simply ascribed to a more lenient school of Islamic thought - or knew less about the details of faith. Teeda kale, the people were far more conservative and respectful in their manner than generation x Somalis. Riwayads were used as a medium of social education. The ditoore riwayad (1986 btw) wasn't promoting / normalising that behaviour it was highlighting the problems.

I'm a social listener which for me is progress because there was a time when everything I did had a them song. I don't go out of my way for music, most of it annoys me and in the car I can avoid it because the idea of getting into an accident with some silly song in the background just freaks me out. Right now.. I was music free for a few weeks then last night friends told me about a song in k'naans album that's some how relavent to me. Hmm. Hard to resist.
