  4. Good on her. Val, She's not alone.. “unsupported and unassisted” (two terms used in polar expeditions, denoting use of natural means and without any kind of assistance). http://www.elhamalqasimi.com/
  5. ^You Ozzys are funny.. "If people want to start banning items of apparel, perhaps we could start with budgie-smugglers?" Senator Hanson-Young told AAP. "I personally find them quite offensive."
  6. Maadey, Al Shaamilah ma tv-guu ka soo galaa? Anigu baryahan waan idho xidhanahay. Inna lilaah..
  7. ^Haa, the Hadith of Jibreel and a few ayats. There's a book on Islamic embryology and modern science, forgot the name. The pregnancy birthing process fascinates me, it's a miracle that you can see / feel. Subxan Allah.
  8. I'm leaning towards Nasir's view, I don't think it's okay. If used as an absolute last resort before 4 months it can be justified- after a consultation with doctors. In Britain as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed, the first question they ask you is 'if you want to keep it'. I respect the prolife crew because they are at least injecting some moral sense into the debate. Maadey, Waxaad doonaysaa 'ijtihaad' based on fiqh and you can get that through google. That said, we don't have books of fiqh online, yet.
  9. I think it would be beneficial to look at the rights of the unborn in Islam. After 4 months, they have rights similar to any human, even if mother is gaalo. It's not as if a fetus of a Muslimah is more precious that that of a none Muslimah. You should look up fiqh of misccariage in Islam too as that would shed somelight on the status of the unborn fetus- after 4 months. With regards to the rape scenario, that's a matter of fiqh and falls under the very few cases where abortion might be permisable in Islam but statistically abortion as a result of rape is low, about 1% or less. And wouldn't it be more practical to abort as soon as the pregnancy is discovered? Most women abort for social reasons such as wrong timing, wrong gender in some communities or like in this case the fetus was aborted because of a minor medical condition that could have been fixed. It's just outragious, even the man who pushed for the abortion reforms in the UK is troubled by the current trends. p.s I'm not saying that you should go and 'burn buildings' but as Muslims we shouldn't be supporting a clear munkar.
  10. Film will be on Ali Mostafa's website soon.. http://www.afmfilms.com/ Shereban one of the Emarati lads is from your neck of woods, Montreal. Yassin the Narcicyst, do know him / his works? He's really good (in this film), Masha Allah.
  11. ..but am I bovvered? Okay, I'm bored. Wish you the death of your dreams, Tata.
  12. I think even in Syria you should be with company, those narrow streets freak me out. I only went solo ONE day and it was the scariest of my life- though the scariest person was the xamaam lady. Tehehehehe. England ain't no holiday, love. p.s just viewing your pics, it looks pretty good, actually...
  13. I find it strange that people go on holidays where they KNOW they will not have an easy ride. The whole point of a holiday is raaxo and fun, qof waalan baad tahay.
  14. I stated a fact, I didn't insult you. If being called a crackhead offends you then lay of the drugs / lies, huuno.
  15. ^are you saying it doesn't? LOL. Originally posted by B: quote:Originally posted by Blessed.*: quote: Originally posted by B: ^ Yes I know you very well indeed! You or your ego? If you enjoy being single parents so much, go and adopt a child and raise that child alone, do not populate this earth with more unwanted children. Sorry love, but your logic is flawed. Failed marriage doesn't mean one loves their children less or that the child is unwanted. Most single parents I know say that's the only positive thing they got from the marriage. I also highly doubt anyone would swap a good marriage for single parenthood.
  18. Still the same concept, waa wada consenting adults as far as I'm concerned, except these senegalis are glorified (going by posts of some Nomads) prostitutes..
  19. Originally posted by chocolate & honey: Understood. I would love for the current law to be revised and time clause reduced. But the only practical choice right now is to either Illegalize or keep it the way it is. And I'm against goverment intervention in the matter of one's body. You said you are against it because your faith says so-- but do you realise that Islam considers it murder after a certain time (40-120 days of pregnancy)? Islam looks at both the rights of mother and the unborn. You can't defend the rights of one over the other, esp. when one is defenseless and yes this view point should be universal because your faith is universal.
  20. Somali women do this too, waxay guursadaan poor young men who are dying for a western passport.
  21. I'm not. I'm a sodoh, I've keen interest in keeping Somali men in check. Fathers of little boys who like to hug my little girl should pay close attention to my views.

  23. That's because Yemen and Somalia are run by qad heads. Majority rules and all that..
