  1. Hmmmm. Somalis are unfortunately cursed with a different breed of 'leaders' and our situation is far more complex. This will sadly have disastrous consequences.
  2. There's certainly some romanticism and a little fiction attached to the origins of the Somali qabiils, laakin it's a bit silly to deny it outright because wiil baa gabadh loo diiday. Sheekooyinkaas waa dhif, waalidka qurbaha jooga badankooda waxaan ka maqlaa 'Somali haday ii keento waa Alxamdulilah'.
  3. Ha iska barjeeyaan. Yementu Somaali ma dhaantoo. Haday protest bilaabaan isma dhigayaan.

  5. Aww, bless. Tell her I send love and duca miskiinta. We're cool... the house is empty again for the first time in a long time. It feels weird.
  6. Hey, hey.. yaa inoo dhalaya? Are you all set? Salaaan sare akhyaarta kale..
  7. ..and what does this Cotswold lad know about Multicultural Britain? How about the non-Muslim ethnics?
  8. Horta ma jin Burco envy hayo ayaa kugu jira? Xagaad ka keentay waad nacday? Funny man waa qof wax lagu qoslo sheega, bacda iska fur noh.. Hehe.
  9. Anigu tuulo ma diidani, qofka ka cararayaa ee cay mooday waa adiga, funny man. There are a few villages aan Burco boodhwayn ka xigsado. Teeda kale, funny man maxaad u diidantahay. Does it have a different meaning in Qardho.
  10. LOL@little tuulo by the name of Burco and only African village with lights. You're a funny man, Sayid.
  11. Errr. Somalilander? Couldn't I just list my awoowos village followed by SL. SLander and Somalian waa ka laqanyoodaa. Secondly, why is it assumed that every Somali lied in their asylum application?
  12. Samiir iyo Iman walaal. I'm sorry to hear of your lossh, I pray for a blessed aakhirah for the waalid.
  13. LOL@ turn on the lights. I also like the way you inject your tuulo in every thread. Ibts, xagaad galaysaa? JB sheekada reer UK bal ka waran?
  14. TBH. There are folks who talk out of their behinds in all camps. This shouldn't determin your political views. At the end of the day, everyone is concerned with the politician or political idea which benefits them most. Why it offends others is beyond me..? Che -Guevara;690919 wrote: Ironically enough some of the least things people talk in regards to the collapse of Somali State is the economic deprivation and lack of social development.Would the reign of Barre been any different if he modernized Somalia like Mahathir for Malaysia and will democracy without economic and social development last? What good does an election for illiterate, unemployed, hungry man? Having a peaceful and stable political climate which allows for elections (or similar process) opens the doors for economic and structural developments. Here, the poor, illiterate man (the majority in all Somali regions) is worried only about where the next bit of cash is coming from -- not if he'll be blown to pieces whilst searching for it. Hopefully the last 20 years would have thought us to appreciate the little blessings of this dunya.. Insha Allah khayr bey noqon.

    WTF Brits?

Omg.. Interesting how the case played out, would they be that forgiving to 2 'efnik' twins?
  16. LOL. I actually agree with a most of her rules. The stereotypes kill her message though..
  17. Perhaps, you're just not cut out to be a nice person? But, I happen to think mean folks are an asset to humanity, my dear.. Stay as you are..
  18. Err? Off topic.. Ng, do you know about that FB campaign some family members are running for ya? I say, it's time... Ayoub, He does pay qaadhaan.
  19. Somalina, It's we 'won't' rather than 'cannot' and stop making it so easy for him. Let him feel the neccesity to learn Somali. Most things get lost in translation anyway..
  20. Err. stop being irritated and learn your mother tongue. Anagu Somali challenged ma matalayno for your sake.
  21. Salaams. IOU is amazing, I highly recommend. I've completed a few of their short courses and doing 2 at the moment. I'm distracted by work at the moment but the beauty of IOU diploma courses is that you can take a break when ever you need it and pick it up again when you can. Hoping to do the full degree at some point, Insha Allah. All the best, sis. There's also another online course which I've come across recently, ejaazah.com . I'm familar with Muhammed Salah's work and love his straight forward approach. ejaazah.com You have no excuses, people..
  22. 'Self imposed' is stretching the truth, Ayeeyo. Burco way ku soo hindhistay.
  23. :eek:Erayga Somaliland waa xasaasi. Isqarxis, eeen.. waadigaa la keenee goormaad SL ku noqonaysaa, huuno?
  24. Allah Yarxamha. I second awareness campaigns for Somalis, there's far to much intolerance and stigma directed at people with mental health illnesses. They are not all would be murderers waiting to be ticked off, for starters...

Hargaysa markaan imi waxaa isoo dhawaysay saca buniga ah, you know taan ka hadlayo. Maalin walba waan is bariidin jirnay. I've photographic proof. Kulmiye, I think the baadiye lifestyle is far from being simple, way rafaad iyo dhib miidhantahay, those who romanticise it don't really think of the daily struggles of our geeljires who as I type this are dealing with yet another abaar and loss of livelihood. I agree with you on the rest and I would also add that the home plays the most important role in fostering pride, awareness, etc. I don't watch Ertrian / Ethio. vids so can't compare with Somalis.
