    Niqaab

Che, Hijaabi of Sheilahstan and you're from? Aduunka rag waalan baa haysta. AlMisikin, If one has knowledge, conviction and purity of intentin, hadalka dadka kale waxba ma tarayo. Our actions are judged on the intention behind them, so it's never wise to 'drop the niyah talk'. I see your point though.
  2. I'm telling you girl, I end up eating have the stuff myself. I've got a right sweet tooth. I like no cook recipes, like banana banoffee, tiramisu, tarts but I often make cupcakes with my little one. I love apple crumble too. Yum. I'm craving some now. What are you into?
  3. Best to make your own because you'll know what goes in... or maybe not because you'll just pile on the pounds. Damn!!
  4. Raga foosha xun, shukaansiga aqoon ee uu weliba jeebku madhanyahay-ba jacayl way u baahan yihiin, maxaa idiinka gidhiish ah haday India ka doontaan?? Intay gabdhaha Somaaliyeed ku khafiifi lahayeen - dhulka illahay wax ha ka doontaan. Illaahay ha u sahlo gabdhahaaan Hindida ah laakin, it's obvious in la gadayo, masakiinta. :(

    Niqaab

Masha Allah to Heba, the sister has articulated herself well. I'm not a Niqaabi but have several wonderful relatives and friends who don it and I must say it takes a lot of courage to do this. Unfortunately there are many Monas in the Somali community and you'll get the most aggravation from other Muslims rather than gaalo. SubhanAllah. It does make work and study difficult but not impossible. I would suggest hijrah to a Muslim country for ease of living in niqaab. However, you need to address why you really want to wear it. Unfortunately and I don’t mean you, I know many sisters who jump the bandwagon to make a political statement – we must remember that purity in niyah is an important aspect of worship in our deen. Do you believe it's fard? Have you read all the fatwa, tafsiir on the issue? Do you believe that hijaab / abaaya / jilbaab fall short of the conditions of Islamic hijab? Is this the only thing you could do to get closer to Allah? Is it the most important / essential? I think that you need to be absolutely firm in your intention and reasons to wear the niqaab if you want to succeed. May Allah increase your Imaan, walaalo. I’ve utmost respect for my niqaabi sisters. All the abuse they face will Insha Allah be rewards for them in on the day of judgement. Also, I must that the niqaab is a good da’wah tool.
  6. Waa runtaa. Adhiga waa inaan xaal siiyaa.
  7. Raggow runta sheega. Ma kuweenaa dhaama? Ma waxaad leedihiin, raga Somaaliyeed gabdhaha Somaaliyeed ma xumeeyaan, oo lama guursadaan oo kama dhaqaaqaan? Naga daaya dee! Rag waa rag whatever their background. I do agree, being a Muslim doesn't necessarily mean that one has a tolerable personality or good understanding and application of the deen or character (good manners, patient, kindness, respectful etc) which is what the Messengers (SAW) much misused hadith talks about. There are many Muslim men I'd advise sisters to not even touch with a barge pole let alone consider for marriage.
  8. Nicely done, Fathiya. All the best to my sisters in Puntland, Insha Allah.
  9. LOOOOOOOL Chimi ma kaa dhabaa? A grown Somali lady in a Lolita dress? What a sight!! Haha. I think even my 5 year old would recoil at the sight of all those frills. I do like big a-line skirts so a modernised, hijabified espana dress would be cool. Though a modernised, hijabified guntiino, dirac or sadex qayd is more up my laami.
  10. Asaqfirullah. I don't like the first video at all. Insha Allah, wey ka weynaan.
  11. How legitimate are the reports that have circulated for years in Libya that Gadhafi has Jewish roots Off course he does. He who deviates from the path of Arab perfection must be an alcoholic. If alcohol is not the cause, he must have Jewish blood. There is no other explanation for his madness.
  12. ^He didn't only steal the mobile phone, he got another man jailed for his crime. Illahay danbigiisa ha dhaafo. I'm surprised they're not doing more time due to the involvement of alcohol or perhaps being under influence worked in their favour. 7 years + blood money + deportation doesn't seem outrageous to me in this case. IMHO.
  13. Waa faan, laakin waa lagu faanayaa ee lagama faanayo. Adiga Somali faqri aad ka tahay miyaa? LOL. Your welcome / 'Adaa mudan', Vans.
  14. ^I second that. Shaytaan baad u yeedhanaysaa. Raguna wax la aaminaba maaha. I have to say, this form of bullying of xaalimos is pretty common with Somaalis these days. It's all over youtube, FB and some even went all out and created websites. It seems that some of our boys get a kick out of calling hablaha Somaaliyeed every ugly thing they've ever heard. I often wonder where this naag hating comes from? As for this story, rape and drugs aside, sharing someones intimate photos with the general public without their consent is a form of sexual abuse in itself.
  15. I've listened to many of Saados interviews and she's always reer hebel. blah, blah.... Waa iska sheeko Soomaali lakin, she's entitled to her views and I respect her for being honest about it unlike many others... Aaliyah, This song / thread is about Dahabshiil so mahaa? So my comments are on DS and Saados claims, hardly shocking is it. I've posted my stance on SCC in threads concerning SCC, do I need to write a disclaimer mar walba? LOL. I think Illahay ayaa inaka wada dhigay dad xor ah, markaa qof walba waa inuu amuurihiisa maamulo ayay illa tahay, waxaan qabaa laakin in a nabadu dagaalka ka fiicantahay. EDIT- Just saw the rest of your post. SubxanAllah. I understand your hurt but your anger is misplaced., walaalay. Anigu arinka 'you and us' uma arko. Labada dhanba ehelkaygaan u arkaa. Illahay ha u naxariisto intii dhimatay, nabadana ha inoo dhawro, maankana hakuu qaboojiyo. Insha Allah.

Allegations can be proved or not but there are repeated allegations against DS and its involvement and supporting s/l militia who killed and displaced many people in ssc regions. Even there are recent allegations against DS for its involvement with Kalshale fight.<O:p Walaalo, a stakeholder is different to shareholder. Ha isku qasin labada. DS owes it success to its agents from all over Somaaliya. Are we really going to argue over this? There are many allegations as I said, are we going to run with them because we believe that it serves our purpose or are we going to do the logical / islamic thing and ask for proof? Saado has trouble seperating **** people and the SL government and I believe this propaganda stems from this stance of hers. If you agree, then so be it. Aaliyah, Shaydaanka iska naar. Questioning Saados attack on a non political entity does not translate to support of SL government and their policy towards SCC. Shaydaanka iska naar, una hubso waxaad qoraysid ilayn adba Illahay xisaab baad la leedahay.

Truer words were never said... Interesting, Aaliyah. What proof have you got? Taleexi, It has also been alleged that the company finances Al Shabaab and also is involved in Piracy-- shall we start running with those rumours too? DS has been thrown into the political conflict as soon as the Siilaanyo took office. Guilty by clan association miyaa sheekadu? Just to add, the company might be owned by one family but it has stakeholders from every region and qabiil in Somalia as well as DJabouti and Somali Diaspora and I believe it owes it's success to this not just the individual who has started the venture...
  18. Seriously, who cares? Afkay idinkaga hadhay. Wadnahay Dhaglee ... dhag .. dhag .. dhag LMAO. JB. Fiska jecliyaa.
  19. Val, it's not weird, for most native speakers garmmar is learned naturally as they acquire language in a linguistically rich environment. Vans. wordska- ereyada. Both sentences are correct and although the meaning is essentially the same, the emphasis differs slightly. Af Soomaaliga hodan baan ku ahay- I am fluent in Somaali. Af Soomaaliga hodan baan ka ahay - My Somali is fluent. Hodan - lit meaning is rich.
  20. ^Waar bax oo is daldal. Sicko!!! Faarax are saqajaamiin, wallahi. If our community ostracised men as they do women, edeb way yeelan lahaayeen.
