That's interesting, Nuune. Waxaan u malaynaa inuu sharmaarke ku su'aalo in aad yarta adigu dhashay. Hehehe. Ana waxaan leeyahay, huduu ilmuhu iska dhal yahay, marka hore sidee buu eekaadaa, marka labaad ma isku si baa loo aroosaa. Mida kale, jinka markaad rabtidi inaad aragto ma inaas u mirqaantaa mise si kalee loola xidhiihdaa. Haye, sheeko kale maanta bal nooga jac sii.. Aniga, hadal aan ku maqlo mooyaane, xidhiidhkooda maan niyeysan.

Raamsade;798546 wrote: No need to ban it. Just ensure that the sartorial choices of Muslim women are vigorously protected. The proponents of Burqa are, for the most part, hypocrites in that they argue for freedom to wear the Burqa while if they were ever in power they'd force every women to don the Burqa. That's not true! Most niqabis actually consider it sunnah not compulsory and what are the odds of them (a marginalised minority within a minority) being in power in France or other European countries where this issue has been polarised? You give me jokes, huuno.

Some people are just xayawaan siday qof nool ula dhaqmaan waad ka naxaysaa. Laakin, shaqaaladaha laftigooda dab yar ma shidayaan. Waa hawl socota and many families ayay wareer iyo waali u keenaan.

Loool... but, of course! I mean give us mere mortals a window into their world. I've Ibn Taymiyyah's Essay on Jin somewhere in the house, should get to it sometime soon.

LooL Nuune, ma aragtaa anything goes on that website marmar, you should create a page for you tribe of Somali jinn. Malika;798234 wrote: As someone whom came from generations born outside Somalia, I tell you this - I remain or shall I say we remained Somalis. We were never going to be a Zulu or a Mchaga - reallity is that, we weren't genetically part of the society we lived in. It's the same now , I can claim to be British but will never be English. Marka, the bantu Somalis are nationally Somalis but not ethnically - thus will remain on the margins of the Somalis... I don't think such comparisons can be made here, Malika. See you may never be English because you are a recent immigrant. However, the English peoples are historical made up of a collection of peoples from what's now known as the Scandinavia nations and Germany. Similarly, for the Somali, our origins ( according legend) lie in the ME and the across the horn. What has never settled well with me is that the larger groups tend claim that they trace their origins to great Arab sheikhs iyo wax lagu faano and yet the smaller Somali tribal groups across Somalia are said to be of unfavourable origin. Waxbaa gadfan!

Watch it Mr. Burco boodhkeedii wuu dagay. LOL. I do agree, the hustle and madness are Hargaisa's charm. Just loved doing simple things like going to the suuq, waa meel qosol iyo xaraabo aad ka dhargaysid. Burco and Berbera were quieter in comparison but have to say Berbera got my heart, just loved the mellow nature of Berbera city and it's inhabitants, coastal Somalis are made of a different matter, ma istidhi?... that's where I place my mustaqbal.

So what reward do you get for being kacaanka, apart from being a proud citizen that is. Awards, scholarships? Also, a lot of the fanaans say that they started singing at school and were in some sort of state group, I'm assuming like this one. Was this done in music class, was music taught, even? Mise kuwa talentka leh ayaa gooni loo train gareen jiray?

Allah, Nuunow talo xumida, wasiirad noqo oo dadka intooda yar kiish ka buuxso ayaad igula talisay, bisinka waan ka ducaystaa. LOL Where are you now, walaal? Bagaad Irishkii baasa uga tagtay. I do agree, wadankii opportunities fara badan ayaa ka buuxa, aad iyo aad ayaan ugana soo helay inkastoo nolosha halkaa bilawgeedu ay adag tahay, markaad la qabsatid waa heer sare. Dadkaaga aad ku dhex jirto kaliya ay niyadu kugu dagaysaa, inkastoo aan iska halwbadanahay haadnu Somaali nahay, hadana markaad hawo Somaali gashidba niyadaa kuu dagaysaa, maa taasa dareenka kay kalmada 'home'? Businesskaad halkaa ka furatidna aduunbaa wadan kara, kolay qof kale han kaad adigu businesskaaga u leedahay uma haynayo, sidaad u qorshayn lahaydna u ma wadayo, markaa waad ku khasbantahay inaad joogtid, aniga taasa igu adkaatay, waxaan rabaa inaan laba meelood isku mar dago, bal waalida ka sheekee. Waynu arki doonaa siday noqon, inshaallah adna khayr baan kuu rajayn.

I've always been fascinated by the Somali habaar, 'dhulku kula dhac' or 'dhulku kula xadree' . The first gives me an image of someone who suddnly falls through the ground,

This is a very good thread, Archi. These are great ideas suggested here and I would add that there is potential in every sector, education, health, retail, hospitality and food production (even milk is imported, why?) in particular. I think banking is a slowly emerging sector and there's much potential there. Going home, you see potential everywhere to be honest. The main issues for entrepreneurs and potential investors is the lack of skilled work force back home and the unwillingness of those who posses the skills to return, this poses a bigger obstacle than securing funding and exporting equipment.
