    SURVIVAL

me cold hearted....??? they have conspired to throw me in the deep blue sea.. not for food, water or medication... but make up    ! I know, I am just a lil big headed yellow thing but Tweety has feelings too
  2. Homeless! Thats a little melodramatic don't you think? What Somalia lacks is a governement and money.. but how many rich African countries do you know? Ethiopia has a government but their ppl are still illiterate and dying of starvation. A governamnet doesn't always = success! The situation in Somlia isn't ideal walalao but far from the 'bad' image we like to give it. There are actually people living more comfortable then the average nomad in London. The war lords and poverty needs to be dealt with. Surely, we can manage without having the yanks bombing all those pretty houses ppl have spent their hard earned giro cheques on

Just because of few idiots can't separate their politics from their guns doesn't make it okay for our people to be bombed. That is a really ruthless attitude to have but I guess you don't have family back at home. If you really think about it walaal, it is the innocent that will suffer not the damned war-lords. Apparently America had special interests in the horn since the 60's. Somalia is perfectly located on the red sea, is rumored to have oil wells and is a 'fragile' muslim state ... that can easily be connected to terrorist networks (Ametricas argument so far). It is also a perefect target for 'regieme' placement. I can just imagine Bush's pre-war address to the Somalis. "our war is not with you the Somalian people but with those that have oppressed you .. we will help get rid of those tyrants and help rebuild your state" (spit) Somalis like the Iraqis are just begging for American and British support. Only catch is that, this support will only come after an effective bombing exercise. They like to make a grand entrance, those Americans  It also makes a good storey line for Black Hawk Down 2: The Last Mooryaan / Maryeekan - intresting sequel .. eh? Oh lord... what was my point  War with Somalia will not happen cos Somalia is non-existent.. but anything is possible. not 2 worry tho. Pride Come Before A Fall! Our Yanki friends won't last long!
  5. I guess some brothers would say anything to have a lil debate thing going with the sisters  Statistics and insurance quotes proof that women are better drivers. I must say, I do rate faraxs in their driving skills. Ladies, do you ever walk down the street and all of the sudden you spot a car doing the a u-turn within secs. Not only that, they car drives back, stops by you and but there sits a farax ready to do a smoothy on ya. Apparently he is lost... but after a few 'stop the bs' advices from the girl he admits that, he spotted a pretty girl down the road and just couldn't pass her loooooooool (this u know to be complete bs). But just think, all these thoughts are processed within a matter of seconds ... lest not forget all the m-s-m and driving that had to take place. WOMEN cannot do that. So, I guess men have good all arround coordination or could that be the very reason that ya'll get into trouble on the roda... watching women too much!

  8. Xafsa lol sorry ... got busy at work. Seems like we have so many potential killers in here! I am sacred of you   The answer is that; She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral again. And those of you that answered this correctly, think like a psychopath . This was a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in this test and answered it correctly. I guess those who got it wrong will understand why I am going to avoid you from now on... or maybe I should be extremely nice to ya  Nova ... what are you talking about girl... I bet you were a psycho too Honesita .. khawaftiini.... me n u friends no more lol Laters Nomads
  9. Okay nomads, this was sent to me by a friend. Just read the story and say what you would do. Then I'll post what your answers might mean another time. Enjoy. It is a story about a girl. While at the funeral of her own mother, she met this guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be, that she fell in love with him there but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later the girl killed her own sister. Question: What is her motive in killing her sister? Give this some thought for a while and be as honest as possible.

So....this whole feminism thing shouldn't really be a problem with the islamic society seeing they treat their women in dignifying respectful and honourable manner. I disagree. Feminism is a based on the delussion that men and women are the same. And if ppl truely followed teh Islamic rulings then there would be no need for a feminist movement. Islamic societies, follow culture more then religion which means that although Islam liberates women ... the treament of muslim women in most islamic societies is based on a very back ward un-islamic culture.

  15. Walaalo, I said that perhaps your making the assumption that people with disabilities were incapable of speaking for themselves. And you proved that by saying : What i expect us to defend them against is other people trying to dissociate them from being involved in any activities or even in their communities based on them being disabled, All I am saying, is that in my opinion a person with a disability is capable of telling others that they are being discriminated against. In fact most of the anti-discrimination campaigns for disabled people are started and run by people with disabilities. And if you want to raise awareness within the larger community, it is better that complaint comes from the person that lives with attitudes that need to be changed. Maybe, you can support and encourage them (what I meant about speaking with your cousin). but to speak for them and defend them ..... you might actually risk offending the people your trying to help. Blv. me I've seen it happen! Think of it this way, if someone was insulting one of your 'able' friends would you cuss the person out on their behalf ... or let them speak for themselves? How would you feel if some cadaan woman started an advocacy campaign for Somali girls... because they are incapable of speaking for themselves. I am not attacking you walaalo, I think you have a really healthy attitude. But you did ask for opnions and I am just giving mine. Exdane lol I agree with ya. I think hands on experience is the best way. How can you know about Some1 just by what ppl tell you about them? You would have to get to know the person in their everyday situation to get that normality factor right.
  16. Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool A+ I was gonna do 'that' too laakin, cldn't think of what to 'tell' the nomads. I'll let U live a lil longer ..... watch your back waaryaahe ... Sleep with an eye open.. cos after he sees this MMA is gonna kick Ur ...........  . KissAssprincess Big mouth. That is the last time me and Barwaqo take you anywhere lil girl   And the rest of the Nomads .... Thank you! = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = ooooh! Does any one know what the date is? We haven't finished our wedding certificate yet....
  17. I think that your making the assumption that ppl with disabilities.. need the 'able' ppl to speak for them and defend them. Take your cousin, he is in a wheelchair.. that doesn't make him an invalid... He is capable of speaking up for himselve. And by getting angry over the whole affair you are in a sense insulting his intelligence. I am sure, the brother is capable of educatin the ppl himself. And also, with the sister.... ppl need to let her decide. I work with non-verbal kids and belive me, given the chance .... they'll put you in your place. they even question politicians about cutting funding for services for young ppl. I would say.. treat them as normal human beigns... cut the sympathy talk and ask them what they think. maybe a starting point for you is a chat with your cousin about the issue. hope that helps

  21. ^^^^ lol I thought it was the English that lacked language lol..... do U know that, untill very recently in schools (British) they refered to a non-English speakers as a person with no language? Even if they speak more the one language  I speaks taht typical languages spoken by Somalis.... been trying to learn to sign but ppl have been teaching me the gestures that would get me into trouble
  22. I think your onto something there. My dad gave me a book on the reality of 'time' which was based on the same philosophy. Intresting stuff but I didn't get the luxury of analysing it. I'm wondering ... why did you choose 'love' to explain this theory of consructed 'realities'. The idea that one is completed by his “soul mate” (what a tosh) is nothing short of inferiority complex yes, what a tosh lol ... nicely put
