He is a Hargiesa native, he has the right to live in his home town regardless of wether he likes Somaliland or not .. just like a Brit has the right to live in London despite having anti-monarchy sentiments. Maybe, they can put an order on him, stop him publically advocating his ideas whilst in Somaliland. But walaalo, to deport him because of his ideas to me seems over-the-top and unjust. I don't see the wisedome behind it! They have the support of the majority , what difference does one man make? We start accepting thses cases, the government is going to view it as a passport to do what ever they like? I have dislike for Somalilands govt. had I gone back to my home town and expressed this dislike ... would that make me a trouble maker, and justify imprisonment... come on  You are want a democracy or you don't. Originally posted by Libaax-Sankataabte: But on a more serious note, where are the Somaliland borders? Should the regions that don't wish to be part of Somaliland be allowed to stay part of Somalia? lol your asking me  I can only place Burco on the damned map lol But on the real, there seems to be differences of opnion among the inhabitants of those regions; some want to be a part of SL, others want out. So what do you do? Divide up cities? I think, the government should find some sort of a political solution with the people of those regions, get another poll, find out why ppl want out, definately adress the qabiil issues, give them incentives perhaps.. and if they want out then that should be granted ... but that creates problems with borders ... what happens if half of LA's ppl want Somaliland and the half doesn't - what if it is a 60 - 40 divide? I dunno, but I really hope they find some sort of a solution soon, in sha allah! Ameenah, dear that is the here and now. Not in 1996, but 2003. So is now Somalia ready for unity? Have the policies been decided, are we done with the war lords? is Somalia now in a position to make promises of peace and stability to all the respective regions.....? or are we just campaigning for the idea because it sounds good? See at least, the Landers are following through their ideologies. They want recognition and they are working for it. So, wether their wordings appeal to you or not walaalo the action and will is there. You got to respect that. -

Take the case of Somalilanad's nearest neighbour Abdillahi Yusuf,he will arrange a nasty demise(sic) if you oppose his ways but I guess some people here are more interested in other people's issues while hoping their own problems will fade away with the magic wand of a foreign nation.Keep talking human rights and freedom of speech when none of you can practice that in your own area. I guess thats the price Somaliland has to pay for giving its citizens peace in an area where the word in itself has been forgotten for the past 12 years. I hear you walaalo, laakin, where do we draw the line. today a man is being imprisoned for daring to contradict the government, without even a trial. I mean isn't the whole notion of Somaliland to give the people of that region the rights that they were denied by the former government. The brother has every right to his opinion and to express - unless he is claiming to represent the government , on that I can see why Riyaale is mad. Laakin, to arrest a dude for making a stance against the government makes a mockery of the people of Somaliland. Besides, how comes Tuur can get away with it but the Jamac dude can't.... whats with the double standards? This is out of order in my opnion and Somalilanders need to stand agaisnt it .. before this government oes mad and starts taking people's liberties away..... they may not be killing ppl now but who is to say that won't happen if they can get away with it.....!! If you asked me, Landers are letting UDUB get away with enough shidh... whatever happened to the asssertive outspoken that I once knew   -

That is the same thing Siyad used to do. Come to think of it, the UDUB government seem to be copy cating Siyaads policies ... what next   ppl should have the right to express their opnion wether it contradics the governments or not! I dunno know about treason laws though... if Gallowway (spl) disagrees with Blair publically, does that give Blair the right to put him in exile? Sorry, I understand British politics better ... if the answer is no... then how is Jamac different to Galloway? As a lander, doesn't Jamac have a right to express his disagreement with the government? I mean i can sort of understand it being different if he claimed to be representing the government .... but if it was a case of him saying that as a lander.. he didn't agree with seccession .... is Riyaale right to put him in exile? -

Hers and her government’s is all about look at us. We are not kidnapping anyone. Does this warrant recognition? Yes,it does. Because, right here and right now as thingsstand in the country formaly known as Somalia- Somaliland has no other option but to seek recognition ...and good luck to them Edna Ismail Aden is awsome - she has commited her entire life and a great deal of her wealth in developing Somaliland and making life better for the people there. She is one of the few ppl that doesn't seemtobein this political game for her self. The woman is a leggend, only a fool would fail to recognise that. Am not really a great fan of the UDUB admin.. but I thinkwith ppl like Edna they deserve a lil cred... just a bit ! -
Salaams .. ya'll, this is funny. Ladies, these come in handy if your feeling bored and he hasn't given you a good enough reason to hit him upsaide the head. Brothers, a sneak preview... don't ever say that am not nice to you The questions are: 1. What are you thinking about? 2. Do you love me? 3. Do I look fat? 4. Do you think she is prettier than me? 5. What would you do if I died? What makes these questions so difficult is that every one is guaranteed to explode into a major argument if the man answers incorrect (i.e. tells the truth). Therefore, as a public service, each question is analyzed below, along with possible responses. 1. What are you thinking about? The proper answer to this, of course, is "I'm sorry if I've been pensive, dear. I was just reflecting on what a warm, wonderful, thoughtful, caring, intelligent woman you are and how lucky I am to have met you." Inappropriate answers: a. Baseball b. Football c. How fat you are. d. How much prettier she is than you. e. How I would spend the insurance money if you died. (Perhaps the best response to this question was offered by Al Bundy, who once told Peg, "If I wanted you to know what I was thinking, I would be talking to you!") 2. Do you love me? The proper response is "YES!", or if you feel a more detailed answer is in order "Yes, dear". Inappropriate responses include: a. I suppose so. b. Would it make you feel better if I said yes? c. That depends on what you mean by love. (Clinton's response) d. Does it matter? e. Who, me? 3. Do I look fat? The correct answer is an emphatic "Of course not!" Incorrect: a. Compared to what? b. I wouldn't call you fat, but you're thighs sure do make a lot of noise. c. A little extra weight looks good on you. d. I've seen fatter. e. Could you repeat the question? I was just thinking about how I would spend the insurance money if you died. 4. Do you think she's prettier than me? Once again, the proper response is an emphatic "Of course not!" Incorrect responses: a. Yes, but you have a better personality. b. Not prettier, but definitely thinner. c. Not as pretty as you when you were her age. d. Define pretty. e. Could you repeat the question, I was thinking of the insurance money again. 5. What would you do if I died? A definite no win question here. (The real answer, of course, is "Buy a new Porsche.") No matter how you answer this question, be prepared for at least an hour of follow-up question, usually along these lines: Woman: Would you get married again? Man: Definitely not! Woman: Why not ... don't you like being married? Man: Of course, I do. Woman: Then why wouldn't you re-marry? Man: OK, I'd get married again. Woman: YOU WOULD (hurtful look on face)?? Man: Yes, I would. Woman: Would you put away my pictures, and replace them with hers? Man: That would seem like the proper thing to do. Woman: And would you let her use my golf clubs? Man: She can't use them, she is left handed.

Running frantically down the adjoining corridor and looking back O.G moti bumped into…. O.G Moti bumped into his dearest friend. 'abaaayo he shouted, but she didn't stop just quickly said, can't stop have to go, love ya' in one breath and brushed past him hurriedly. It took Og Moti a moment (or two) to work out what his friend has said and as he looked on at his disapearing friend Moti noticed that she was dressed to impress. Og-Moti quickly rushed after his friend and at the same time wondering why Hibo was dressed like that and where she was rushing off to and what sort of friend is she anyway to be running off when he needed her the most. He called after his friend, saying 'walaalo wait, this is important' bumping into other students in the process. As he busied himself, in keeping up with his friend and avoiding or excusing himself to all these students. OgMotis thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a shout, which came from an source unknown to him: 'waaraa why the hell did you push my woman' surprised OgMoti gave a helpless 'huh'? Not sure what the man was talking about and who this guy was. He then, turned to the direction of the speaker only to be faced with a tall, built and scary looking creature man "I am talking to you" you little "Farax" shouted the guy OgMoti quickly looked over his shoulder and noticed that his friend was no where to be seen. At that precise moment he was filled with frustration, after all he was having a bad day. He turned to the guy and faced the man "look mister I don't know who the hell you are but am not having a very good day, so will you push off" he said quickly. The guy who was getting even more agitated with Ogmoti, took a step closer to him, pierced his eyes at Ogmoti and asked slowly and asked ‘ do you know who I am?’ …………………

Never mind the qualities of Tower Hamlets Graduates. Is the job market as it stands capable of meeting the needs of the rising number Somali graduates in London? There is a dilema in finding suitable jobs and to be honest with you, it isn't entirely the fault of the student. A degree isn't enough, apparently.. and something needs to be done about it!

Great poem! To answer your question, I'd say it doesnt really make it true! Why because, we have come to be our so unique selfs through the imitation of others. as social beings, our identity is dicated by our interaction with those arround us and imitation of our parents, siblings, friends and members of the wider society. this holds true for most people - unless your are extremely eccentric - and in that case your considered - crazey!! outa time - later
