  1. Why are people in SOL so emotional? Human nature Why do every one take things serious? What do you mean? Why do we call each other names? I wouldn't know You wanna tell me... Why do we make SOL part of our life? Because, it's fun! Don't we know this is only online? Yes, and... Don't we know SOL is just a place to have fun? Yes, and to gain knowledge, share information and most importantly - to have debates. Hence the name 'Camel Milk Debates' Don't we know that what ever people say here is nathing and it has nathing to do with our real life? Perhaps, you like writing about 'nothing', perhaps your posts are worth 'nothing' but there are many nomads who have 'something' to say and whose posts are worth 'something'. Also, the fact that most of these debates are based on real life experiences makes whats written here have somehing to do with our real life Are we adicted to this online site, Or we just like being here? Both Waz so special about this place? I love the idea of debating issues with my fellow Somalis without being called names and getting dissed for not thinking like the next cambaro. What brings you here Tuujiye? Why do we act like we know each other? Well, some of us do know each other off line. Others, have become cyber friends as a result of being members of SOL why do we have so many mentors in ever room? 'Mentors', do you mean Moderators? Well, to 'clean' after some of the mess made by some some people and stop potential casualities
  2. Make ducaa people. Nothing is greater than Allah! Maybe you can help out by sending donations and organising ourselves. What is decreed for us will not miss us (unless we make ducaa) but this is a test of faith. There is so much we can do: Pary Donate Speak out agaisnt the oppression Unite And in-sha Allah, will help us...this isn't the first time this sort of thing happened to the Muslims.. and it won't be the last. But remember, those brothers and sisters will get thier rewards for enduring this hardship, so it's not all doom. Originally posted by Lakkad: Lets see what the custodians of ISLAM..WILL SAY AND DO!....AM sure the sacuudi government will boycott anything american!or better yet,the government will organise a demo against americans! RIGHT FOLKS?...ow wait wait...didnt they PLAN AND TOOK PART IN THIS WAR? --GEE! Sucks, don't it!

[/b] Hibo, I’m looking at you like this  because, the word ‘Boring’ is floating around in my head! What do I need with a man that needs to be thought how to be a man for me? or someone who lacks the direction to make his own music instead of fiddling with my personal song. Why settle with a witless lad when I can get myself a ready packed matured Faarax? I'm after a husband here not a son  or a father  NGONE The leadership issue come with role dynamics. It’s a matter of personality rather than age. A n*acas odey, is still a n*acas
  4. Salaams people. Why do these threads end up in a war of words between Muslims? Come on folks, we shouldn’t be fighting about this. When we disagree with something Allah commands us to refer to the Quran and the Sunnah. Now the question is. Are the actions of these brothers justifiable under the shariciyah law? Do their actions imitate that of our Messenger (saw). Now these brothers argue that they carried out the killing of a civilian (not a soldier) in retaliation for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by US soldiers. Retaliate, yes. However, is this in the manner of the Prophet (saw). There are numerous hadiths that show the etiquettes of jihad and how a Muslim deals with prisoners of war. This guy as far as we know isn’t even a prisoner of war, who was fighting with Iraqis but a civilian. That changes things. This type of thing is not from our religion, so whether they call it Islamic or otherwise, it doesn’t matter. Like Honesita said, we know it’s wrong. So instead of being mad about it and hating on Arabs as a whole – speak out against the misrepresentation of Islam. Not to the Muslims but those people, who don’t know about Islam..this is a Golden opportunity for us to do something for this deen.. lets not waste it by pckering amongst each other It is clear that these brothers are lacking wisdom in this department. However, it wouldn't kill us to empathies. The Iraqis are in a very desperate situation. People, are bound to act irrationally, wouldn’t you Lakkad? I mean, you started hating on all Arabs just by reading this article. I wonder how your reaction would be if people started killing, sodomising and raping your brothers and sister? I’m not justifying their actions but simply looking past my own thoughts on the matter… I thought this statement was interesting; How can a free Muslim sleep well as he sees Islam slaughtered and its dignity bleeding, and the pictures of shame and the news of the devilish scorn of the people of Islam - men and women - in the prison of Abu Ghraib?" he said. I agree with his sentiments. However, the methodology isn't correct. They can defend Muslims and Islam by fighting with the soldiers. But, copy cating America's sick strategies of dealing with the enemy - is wrong. Didn't they say imitation is the best form of flattery? By copy-cating such actions, they are falling into the hands of the propaganda spinners. "It shows the true nature of the enemies of freedom," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan. Didn’t waste a lot of time in using this to highlight the evils ways of Muslims. Great  "They have no regard for the lives of innocent men, women and children. We will pursue those who are responsible and bring them to justice." Oh, PUHlease  Washington vowed to find the killers. You know what that means Nomads, one American dies. God knows how the American's will retaliate.... This is just the beginning.. May Allah have mercy on us….

  6. Why on Allah's good earth do you want to give up tea? I'm a tea addict by choice. But in strange circumstances where I fancy a change- I have mint tea instead. If you want to give up any habit, the key is to find an alternative you want to give up tea .. u have to smoke ... or drink coffee or both and they are less harm than tea so u choose urself Your kidding me right? The trouble with you OG-Moti is that I never know if your joking or your being real.
  7. ^^^^ Why don't you go? There are speechs (which I always miss ) and plays in the early hours and than they'll end it with a few songs - it ain't one of those stand up riwayads where ppl sing dance and scream SL ha noolato. Anyways... heres their contact Nomad UK site I think there are other organisations working directly with the hospital. AL Naa, amus dee. Whats with the qarxis? Kidding, am really not into raves and riwayads and I love the family atmosphere in the Nomad UK events. Plus- my friends have be bugging to promote it - or I was threatened not to be let in.
  8. ^^lol Isn't one party enough? I think there’s something happening at the Rex and another do at Hackney somewhere. They'll probably give out the flyers on the Sunday. But since the 18th is a school night, I won't be going...My bed will miss me Besides, NomadUK is the business girl, those other parties won't even measure up
  9. DA Tsk, tsk girl, you sound ashamed And here I was thinking that our 'Araweelo' empire was growing.... Baashi, Opi is not in there. It is Barwaaqo and Ameenah who lead this brigade. *Ahem* Mr. LST May I remind you that sharing such information is considered an offence in Law of Araweelo's. Thread very lightly gentlemen. You’re being watched Lakkad Perception, dear perception Raxmah Hey Ayoub -- how much do you charge to train these women. Goodness child *gasps* Did you fall on your head? No man knows a thing about training future Araweelo's.
  10. Aight Ms. Haud! Grab your sandis girl, cos we'r gonna party
  11. Welcome back Mr Lakkad Yes, I know  You've told me enough ... still hustling to be shown the piercings NGONG, Actually, you kind of answered a question I had about Arab/ guys in carabta. I remember when I was a youth in KSA guys would go around following girls and telling them they looked beautiful, despite the fact that they had their niqaabs on. Always thought there was something odd about that but I guess they got no choice but to be 'eye' men *I think the eyes say a lot about a person and the niqaab funnily enough accentuates them further. Every niqaabi I know seems to have beautiful eyes.....blahlalalala
  12. Eyes, eyes, I’m talking about eyes, you suspicious people. And my name is Michael Kaftan aside. Men and women perceive beauty differently. Whilst we pay attention to the little details you men tend to get stuck on the more 'rounded' features. There are exceptions of course, I've heard of brothers with feet fetishes and 'stuff' *adjusts her niqaab*
  13. I think the third philosopher got it right, it’s a bit of both. If you ever go to a ladies only wedding you’ll see that it’s as much for other women as it is for men. I mean let us be real ladies, we’ve all been sold the ‘prettiest’ of them all idea; haven’t we. Appearance is a major influence of how others precieve you and positive feedback from others is the stuff our egos and confidence are made off. I don't care if it's the most insignificat person that compiments me - it give me an instant ego boost. It doesn't always has to come from an outer source... I don't have a problem with hooting my own horn and make myself look good for me and my telvision screen- I think it's healthy Also, I think of make up as an art form that can only be appreciated by women. Men don’t usually look at a girl’s complexion or even face to be attracted to her. I think they’re more into the spherical stuff – you boys agree? It isn’t really about the shades or the colours you put on but what it does for your over-all look. Make up doesn’t make look beautiful – in fact it can work against you. But when you use it the right proportions it can accentuate what you have naturally.
  14. That was a lovely read! Bittersweet funny But...Man! those days were hard, those women were the true survivors and the men … iga dhaaf* I’m glad I don’t have to deal with goat herders. Now, excuse me while I go and pray a 'shukur salaah' for not being subjected to Xaliimo Farax’s predicament.
  15. Blessed

    W O M E N!!!

Acuudu bilaah! yous lot actually find this funny? <---- scared!
  16. ^^ I agree with you and NGONGE. But ya'll are missing Barwaqo's point, the Saudi Government deliberately set out to sabotage the Economic development of Somalia - at a time when we really needed their support. So much for Muslim brotherhood : rolleyes: But, I don't hate the people and I have to say that the Scholars of Mecca are some really cool people, the complete contrast of the government. It is the Scholars who have given so much to Somalis and Muslims across the world - not the ****** govrenment. The government only supports the scholars because the little service they do for the deen is whats keeping the rebbels f their backs... Emmy Welcome to SOL <-- liked the way you've represented the khaleejis
  17. ^^I totaly agree. Reminds of that Hadith where the Prophet (saw) said that we will follow the nations before so much so, that even if they walked right into a lizards hole - we'd follow them there too. It's so true considering the catasrophe facing the Arab / Africa world today. They tried so hard to be Western and look where it got them. And the saddest fact of all is that they still think their solutions lies with the man made ideals. I hope Allah guides us. Loved the second poem too - puts things into perspective, don't it? Jizaak Allah again
  18. I like you now that we've got something in common <-- feels jealouse - I so wanted to go to that concert, but I went up North for that weekend... but tell, tell. I want hear every last detail was Ahmed, Ahmed there too? Don't worry about them being married- them wadaads are allowed 4 . maybe U should consider sharing I think you can order their recors from their website - mountainoflight.com
  19. Native Deen is an 'American' Islamic hip hop group - my signature shows sme of the lyric's of one of their songs... Passing through- I hope you ain't tryna hate on em... Sahra Ahmed is cool too
  20. Mansha Allah, that poem is true. It's amazing how we abuse our Survival kit JZK Allah for the reminder bruv. Umar ibn al-Khattaab (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Verily, Allaah will raise elevate some people by this Book and He will degrade others with it."[
  21. Sadeboi I'm an abaayo, gabadh, a lady Like I said, I don't wish to invovle myself in another SL debate. I was told thatAhmed Gurey was an Arab that was married to the duaghter of one the Sultans'. I'm learbing something here..thnx ppl

  24. Khayr Adigu dab yar ba ma shideysid. Your making it sound like I said it's okay to commit sina or what have you. If thats how you want to interpret it walaalo. I can't help you. That the Deen tolerates Relationships outside of Marriage as long as ofcourse, the people say that they are going to get married The deen as far as I know allows two people who intend to get married to get to know each other with the presence of a mahram. Why am I explaining this  Just the intention has to be set, to make it HALAL-right?[/ Make What xalaal excatly? As far as I know, actions are but by intentions. You'd initially make the intention to do something before you do it and that makes it either xalaal / xaraam. old' on Did I just walk straight into a trick question  Barwaqo Please interfer! Bal eeg inaad u jedadyda ka dhaadhicisid. Qof noo turjumaan aniga iyo inankan u baahan-nahay sidaan u arko.
