  1. I hear you sis. It gets on my nerves also. Just an example; one of my girls got told of for wearing white sandals by this oday. Why would any self-respecting man be so concerned with a girls foot wear is beyond sense.. but I do love the sheer comedy of the situation. I think it's a cultural thing, thats steadily changing. Younger Somalis aren't as prude or nosey as the older ones. Well, not to your face anyway...
  2.   Nice! A thread concerning dumar..oo aan cay ku jirin. Very nice
  3. I'm good sugar, alxamdulilah Woodgreen, eh? Silly girl; shoulda told me you were in my hood! So tell me, how did you find London. Don't worry you can be honest. I won't take offence. Yes, december was cold (me had the flue all month). Don't say I didn't warn ya...abu cumarkii maad soo ilowdey?
  4. ^^ Habaar xumaa qofku, ma geel baa laga dhacey? How many centuries we have to endure the wrath of this curse, I wonder? I suggest you gather up all the wadaads you know walaalo…we’re gonna have to do a mass duco of some sort – or we’ll be forever cursed as the biggest cawaans of planet earth. Amin Amiin Amiin
  5. ^^Salaams and Hugz. You've been missed. Looking forward to the report also.... I've just been reading this sweet article on Muqdishu. Which was what brought me to this topic.. ENJOY Somalia's angels of mercy
  6. Juxa Walaalo, I simply think his / others posts have been taken out of context. Now the topic here is, in light of the other thread, should humour be censored? In my view no, not when it's taken out of context. Also, those who are attacking poster have all made brash comments about the intellectual capacity of qurbawi kids; this is where I come in Perhaps, we lack the sensitivity you guys have developed through your first hand experience of the war. But you know what, for many qurbawi kids it simply didn't register at the time. It was like any other day. That's a fact that we shouldn’t have to apologise for. Esp. in a discussion that specifically asks what we did and where we were on that day...it's a fact that will surface. As you've beautifully put it...."wax la qariya, qurun aa ku jira!" ... So why do you and co demand that others sugar coat reality..? We hadn't a clue what war in Somalia was like.
  7. ^^ Excuse me for being insensitive walaalo. I really don't understand why the brothers self-debasing piece offends you guys so much. I’ve read it as a joke on Ngonge not the people who were suffering back home. Is he blame-worthy for being such a wotless youth? Was he supposed to xawaashee his take on the matter and lie to the nomads, pretend he was torn apart, hurt and that he cried all day long? <---Was looking forward to having a laugh on Ngonge but he is still smiling . This is BORING.
  8. The logic behind my statement is to show that the intention of this whole Topic isn't abt the little gathering in MPLS in support of Samatar but rather a hatred and grudge some pple hold against others for what happened decades ago. ..and you do this by creating conflict that never existed between Mooge and Sangub? Mmmm, Interesting! What threw me about your statement was the fact that: 1) There wasn't a known conflict between Sangub and Mooge. 2) The statement ' reer Hargaisa have vowed to kill Sangub to avenge for Mooge' is based on hearsay. 3) The above statement is also based on tribal generalisation 4) It furthers the conflict that you claim to be solving Over all; an interesting argument to bring to the discussion by some1 so concerned with proofs and unfairly targeted innocent men Amina, if you're offended by my statement, you should be offended by the fact that Suldaanka post called some of us "Madaahiro". The Actual maamaah waa, Ileyn Doofaar Madaahiro" Basically, refering pple as "PIGS". Awalen; What I did write was: I find that odd and an insult to the Mooges I'm not surprised that you've read it as tribal hiilis. However, I was clearly referring to the Mooge household; not the tribe. Secondly, I didn't see the madaahiro comment. I assume it was a tribalistic slur which seem to be a common feature of the politics thread. I don't see how you can connect a tribal slur with the questioned I posed to you. Unless....well never mind!
  9. Hahaaaaaaa! You've got jokes walahi, it's all good. I can handle it
  10. Ahaa! so all the movie comments were directed at you Hehhehehehehe!
  11. What da'ya know; Nin Yaaban wuu il-baxay. Aw guuryo abti
  12. -Edited- Disregard my previous comment. Since Ngonge is the only one under attack, it’s no probs. In fact ya'll aren’t harsh enough..!
  13. Oh dear, Somalida xageebaa laga habaaray? This whole Ali Samater charade is embarrassing to say the least. Reading those 'news reports' on the meeting make me wanna join the 'Somali Waan ahaan jirey' crew. Shidh! A_Ladiif Not to pick on you walaalo, but what is the logic behind that statement. I find that odd and an insult to the Mooges. As for Sangub whatever the case; "I dhoon kaar"
  14. I was in Jeddah all packed and ready to go to join my sweet Habaryaro (ilahay ha u naxariisto) and older siblings in Burco. Hooyo went to the ticket office that morning; she was supposed to take me shopping when she got back- so I was hyper excited.... She came home tearful, angry and panicky and started calling all our relatives. The only thing I understood was that we weren’t going to Burco, Berbera or anywhere in Somalia for that matter. My parents didn’t tell us (me and my bro) much about the war. I’ve only got the gory details a few years later, from my older sisters who got caught up in the whole thing. Even they spared me some of the brutal details till I was much older. I suppose I was blessed- Alxamdulilah!

  19. Salaams Silly sister.. and friends. The idea of indulging your private matters with friends DISGUSTS me..surely there is a reason why sex is confined to private quarters.. In light of the following hadiths (see quote below)...Sisters are right to feel ashamed to discuss intimate matters. What happens between man and wife.. Remains private! It's part of the Islamic hayaah - sense of shame! If you want to learn the deen and the halaals and haraams; there is a way of doing so without getting graphic or personal. It is forbidden for either the husband or the wife to spread any of the secrets of their bedroom to anyone outside. The following two hadith are about this: First: "Verily among the worst people before Allaah on the Day of Judgement is a man who approaches his wife sexually and she responds and then he spreads her secrets." [Muslim, Ibn Abi Shaiba, Ahmad and others]. Second: "On the authority of Asmaa bint Yazid who narrated "that she was once in the presence of the Prophet and there were both men and women sitting. The Prophet then said: "Perhaps a man might discuss what he does with his wife, or perhaps a woman might inform someone what she did with her husband?" The people were silent. Then I said: "O, Yes! O Messenger of Allaah verily both the women and men do that." Then the Prophet said: "Do not do that. It is like a male shaitaan who meets a female shaitaan along the way, and has sex with her while the people look on!" [Ahmad: Hasan or Saheeh due to supports] 24. The Obligation of a Wedding Feast Source: The Etiquettes of Marriage and Wedding (in the pure Tradition of the Prophet saws) - By Sheikh Muhammad Naasirudden al-Albaani Coming back to your point on why some Iaams disagree; it can be a fiqh issue – so they may hold different opinions due to their being from different schools of thought. However, you may sometimes in the case of many Imams in the west get confusing fatwas due to a strange need for some Muslims to provide a logical explanation for Islamic rules. Sometimes; it's better to say - such is xaraam because Allah forbids it. Full stop. Trying to explain away why and how -is what leads to confusion. On husbands who don't want to know or who ignore Islamic prohibitions. There is obedience to creation in disobedience to Allah. In other words if any one; be it your hooyo, aabo, husband and imaam tell you to do something that is xaraam.. You don't do it. Allah is Greater then them all.
  20. ^^Gabar, I thought you knew me better then that! I was always a Red Devil... Since, the ciyaaal Arsenal of these boards insisted on chatting so much *ish about my Legends. I thought it only polite to RUB this in their face.. LOOOSEEERS
  21. An update if I may… something for the record..no actually - I just felt like gloating The United Legends (Manchester United to you) have whooped Arsenal's behind. 4-2! Originally posted by Rooney: We are coming!! Indeed, Rooney
  22. ^^ Not a man, that's for sure; he'd end up chopping his arm off, cook it and eat it for dinner. Brainless creators, these men! They should come with a warning label.
