  1. Well dear Castro, considering that globally there appears to be more fagots to lesbians the sleeping around stakes are much higher on the mens side. Also when doing it with females, men are usually the pursuers, consumers, beggars and deceivers in the equation. Unlike women they often have no qualms about sharing themselves with the world. It’s a source of pride, no? In any case, sleeping around was covered in the courting stage of my previous analysis. What comes after, is strictly a one gender show. The crucial point here is because men perpetrate major sexual terrorism on the world, society has ceased appealing to their moral core.
  2. Since the dark ages sister, men* have been courting whoredom. They are now happily married to perversion whilst having an illicit affair with sadism. They were never introduced to self-respect, rumor has it when ms moral tried to set the two up for a blind date – she was a little weary… and rightly so, wuxu waa faro laga qaad, farahana kamey daayeen. It's not a something to be envied. *Off course, there are some exemptions.
  3. Foxy, I suppose some of us are more adventurous then others. I'm of the fussy variety. Waan hurgufaa, kala jeediyaa, interrogate-gareeya for the privilege of a phone number-haha. In giving something as sacred as love requires a major operation..lol I do see your point but it doesn’t work for an untrusting, unforgiving person such as me. It also depends on what qualities you use to measure anothers love. Fay, my dear you is too kind. But am pretty happy with being in the 'sugaan ku nool' category. It looks good on my lazy bones Whatever inspired you to write such distressing and depressing tale The title of the thread. I was going to drive him into the marfish Laakin Ms Cawos mukur shows through the 'shuuro', there might be hope for Cawaale. Didn't mama tell her not say 'inaabti' to nin aaney rabin? Mise you wanted to give him hope... as it stands cawaale is stunned. "aaar, wuxu mahay leedahay ayeey kaga dhagtey..." He decides in aaney Cawo jacaylka tacliin u lahayn ans sets out to teach her some… I'll return later.

The Persians and Romans were at war. The Persians, who were polytheists were lead by a woman- they were also openly hostile to Muslims and sided with Quraish against them. Anyway, the saxaabis followed the events that passed between the two nations and the Prophet (saw) made the prophecy that the nation lead by the woman will be doomed. The Persians lost the war. The scholars differ in the interpretations of the above incident. Some say that it applies to all women rulers in general. Others say that it was dealing with that specific context. I personally adhere to the thoughts of the second group in light of the other hadith of the Prophet (saw) where he instructed the Muslims to follow any ruler that upholds the Quraan and the Sunnah – even if it is a slave. He demonstrated this by putting Usamah bin Zaid as Head of an army expedition in spite of the objection of the elite of Makkah and Madinah. Further more, there was also the incident where Aisha (ra) led and army made up of some great sahabas. This leads me to believe that if being lead by a woman is so destructive- the Sahabas would’ve asked Aisha (ra) to xishood, go home and cook! The rule of woman is not specifically forbidden in Islam. So it cannot be made haraam. Even those who oppose the rule of woman are careful to say that is not recommended but they don’t say that it’s xaraam- right out. Allah knows best.
  5. We often delude ourselves to thinking that victory is the making of humans. It isn't. It is bestowed on us from Allah. Allah clearly tells us that if we believe and do righteous actions. He will establish us in the earth. In Palestine we have a case where people are confused. Some are fighting for National / Arab pride. Some would rather negotiate with the Israelis and establish themselves through and un-Islamic method. There is no unity in the people. And no strong leaders. When that is put in place and we seek victory through the Prophetic manhaj, then insha Allah. Irrespective of the support of the ‘great powers’ and the sophistication of their weaponry, Allah will establish his promise to us. AlQuds is the third most holy masjid in Islam. No self-respecting, Allah fearing Muslim would give up on it. So walaalo, don't be derailed. Even our Prophet (saw) suffered much tribulation (and initially defeat) under the Quraish. Until Allah made him and the Muslims victorious… How will we get there? is the million dollar question. Good topic..
  6. ^I do that, I can't relax if a door is open. My family hate it. Fay, the little one has grown in to a loud little madam, ManShaAllah… Everything waa dhag dhag. Alxamdulilah. Originally posted by Fayrouz: Lyrical journey bay tidhi ...bal inoo sii wad dee Cool, I like making up stories for songs. I went to a poetry convention in 2004. Hadraawi said that Somalis need to stop singing about jacayl because the later generation might think inuu jacayl ina dhameeyay when research into our era. Lol. He does have a point. Bal kaaley Fayruuseey, aan kuu waramee. Ganbadhkaagi iyo galaan shaaha bal soo qaado A guy called Cawaale once fell in love. His friend noticed changes in him. When asked what the matter with him was, he sang the above song. So his best friend Cilmi told him, 'dee inaabti sidan si maahee bal bal wax isku fal oo qoftaa sidaa kuu nasakhdey niyada ka gooso. Cawaale was unmoved; he grabbed hold of his friend and broke into this ballad: Waa I helay jacayl oo Hami igu badnaayoo Waan hubaa kalgacaloo Waay I hayaa dhibtiisi Sida hadhka ………. Hawl yari maseexdoo Habeenkoo badh tagey baan Cawo ka war keenaa Waa howl aduunyee Tolow ma ii hiilineysa ….. Cilmi markuu intaa maqlay ayuu rumeysan kari waayey. 7. ^I doubt that the shoe will fit for we're not as worthy. Regardless, amiin sister. May The Almighty make us true to this deen. Kashafa Jizaak Allah brother. I've always wanted to know what Khalid Bin Waliid did after the campaigns. He was truly gifted. But it has to be said, his success was also partly due to his commanders- the best of all mankind.. The Prophet (saw) and after him Abu Baker sidiiq and and Umar Faruq may Allah be pleased with them all. As we are on the topic. Here is a link to the Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar) . One of the best books on the Prophet (saw) life. Again Jizaak Allah for the post…
  8. Jacay waa dhibaato Waaka dhiiga ka jaqa Kuna geeya ceelkee Hadhibine naftaada Dhaqaalee Hadhaweysan caasaqa No, I don't have it bad. The topic sent me on a lyrical journey. On the topic, I agree with Mr Zu it's the excitement and infatuation that causes those feelings of insecurity, uncertainty and possessiveness obsession. It's like a prolonged job interview.. haha. Note after a year, those feelings decline / disappear. Foxy, That is just inviting trouble sis. Might as well write 'mistreat me' on your forehead. Reminds of the Sameera Said song where she says something which can be translated as ‘indulge my heart only for once, even if you tell a lie’. (ish) Some people think putting up with shit is a manifestation of love. It isn't. P.S Fayruuz, like the new dirac malab. Hope your good.
  9. This topic smells delightful. Desertkaan ka soo uriyey, xaaax. I'm pretty fussy with perfumes and tend to stick to the following trusted friends. Gucci Rush (original). Burberry Woman and Weekend. Very Valentino. Ms Cherie Doir is my current baby... very sweet smelling. On my Farax I likes, Guccie Envy, Iceberg, DnG and Echo. Hmmmmmm. Tip: To get a lasting but light effect spray the perfume in the air and walk into it or pass your scarf through it.
  10. Grammaticus Reread what I wrote walaalo. Then mock. I don't respond well to those who give my words a makeover. So, begone. Thank you. Castro Your argument as I understand it, is that style of hijaab is imposed on the women. It isn’t a choice. It’s a response to a tragedy blamed on women (and the weak, you said). To validate this, in my mind I’d have to come to the conclusion that Somali women are either too dumb to question it or simply take what is given to them. In other words, weak. That’s the message I got from your posts, particularly the last one Atheer. I was asking what logic you were on. British slang. Apologies.
  11. Makalajabti Don't exaggerate walaalo. It's un-artistic. Castro, What are you on Atheer? You seem to have an image of Somali women as being weak (as if). Your last piece and socod badnes had me loling. It might be a surprise but those girls (most)do it out of love for Allah as they see that style to be correct form of hijaab (just like those who cover their face). If you have Quranic or hadith text stating otherwise, share it. Hadii kale, leave it. The different forms of hijaab reflect the cultures of Muslims, it shows the flexibility of the sharia as regards hijab. Anti-'tent' sentiments are same as the anti-abaaya or khimaar sentiments some are complaining of. We could do with tolerance and acceptence of peoples choices. But, I've been told Somalis don't have those virtues. Rahima, A friend of mine once told me that the Somali style jilbaab is recommended by some scholares because your not allowed to show the parting between the arms (like with the surwaal). Have you heard this, do you know the source. Sorry to put you on the spot darling.. just have a feeling you'd know
  12. ..nice? Ilayn ninuunbaad ahayd Her part is a disgrace adeer. Laqanyo, cadanyo iyo cadho ayey igu ridaa. Esp. considering the Farax is given the privilage of saying 'soo leef hawada'. A.hoot. Do you want a word for word translation. Or just a general meanning of the song?
  13. A great read. There are many overwhelming shoulds, coulds and woulds but will it be done. I think not. I'm starting to think that Somalis and Progress are a contradition in terms. Waxbaa si ah. Taking into consideration the serious gender disparity and the fact that the majority of our people are roaming nomads, with no fixed abode and no schools and other social services available in their neighborhoods, the picture becomes bleaker and much graver. Indeed. However, I doubt that schools and returning to the old system of education despite its benefits for the urban folk would remedy this problem. It requires a solution of it's own. Do roaming nomads need the same education as those living in cities? Would there be a point in them being literate?
  14. ^Ameen. May I (we all) be more blessed and you, cadanyo cured XaliimoCambaro, that was many moons ago but Thanks. Idil, You can have all three, if you plan well, avoid the competition the goes on between Somalis and keep in mind the purpose of a wedding. AS atheero says, jeebkabadis is certainly asinine. Alla ilahe, indeed.
  15. I've had a traditional wedding. Not strictly though, my dress was a remake of the sadex qayd ( I looked silly in the original). I'm now thinking of re-making the guntiino. Somali meets EastLOndon.. kawaran. But thats a different topic. Where was I? Haa, haa. Arooskii, We had hadhuudh and caano instead of cake.. No slow dance... had my girls 'galbis' me like in the old days and Somali utensils as decore. I was never into the white dress scene which is shidh*loaded with paganism iyo waxaan la garanayan. My cousin had the same a month later. Think, I've started that fad in London I've got say though, having the calan at your wedding is simply bilaa dhadhan. Ma aroos baa mise dowlad baa la heshiisiinayaa. A.hoot. Gabagabada hadalku waa; Hiduhu waa off the xadhig dee...lols

  21. Salaams I guess this gal is mocking the psych of the ‘real man’ where women are either a ****** doormat or dykes. Does this remind you of a certain nomad community? Read the original The Pussification of Western Man which instigated the posted response. I’m not quiet sure where we as “those Muslim morons†fit into this picture but play with it nomads. Should be interesting to read the nomad version of the war of the sexs

I just have to find one that hasn’t been marked by a recognised country and ‘invade’ it…WOW! Your prayers are appreciated, though. But no, you can’t visit. We don’t like hateration I'll say it again..Wow!
  25. In my opinion though way of mark Dr Badawi has good intent. Scholars, even the greats like Bin Baz have made mistakes in their fatwas. It’s not for us to question their faith or insult them. Take it or leave it, there’s no need to insult the man and question his faith. As far as removing hijaab, mine is staying put. We shouldn’t let racists get away with their misdemeanour and we shouldn’t let them win. Imagine a black leader telling black people to stay at home following the racist killing of Anthony in Liverpool? or Would we stop praying at masjids due to the level of of attacks on some masjids. I’ve read that even Sikhs and other non-Muslim Asians have been targeted. The problem isn’t the hijaab, it’s ****** racists who have nothing better to do with their time. So, this fatwa is silly! The removal of hijaab doesn't resolve anything. It doesn't educate or balance things out as they should be. Instead, the Muslim community should demand that the police and the government do their utmost to ensure the safety of Muslims. The trouble with Dr Badawis line of thinking (there are many who share this view) is that he very readily accepts the notion that Muslims don't belong to Britain and that we should shoulder all efforts in improving community relations. Even, if it means compromising our faith. The July the 7th and 21st may have been acts committed by a small group of wayward Muslims but the wider community shouldn’t be blamed or victimised for it, plain and simple. And...we certainly have NOTHING to apologies for. The bombers attacked us too. As for the media…I hate to spoil it for ya’ll. But the majority has actually been supportive of Muslim women and disagree with Dr Badawi. So much for the evil gaal theorem
