LOL! If this is a major concern for a presidential candidate, Germany must generally be a great place to live.

Having said that, I'm sure T.dot is to the little Canadian towns what the UK is to her offshore projects

11 is the strongest opinion but do note that 11 might be less in rak'as but not in how long you stand for prayer. You'd still need to go through the whole Quraan in 1 month. Anyway, it is recommended that you finish the prayer with the imaam and not walk away half way through like some people do. So if the imam prays 21, you do 21 rakaats because The Prophet (saw) commanded us to follow the imam and there's strong evidence for this command whereas the number of rakats for tarawih is under debate. (I make sense? ) Wallahu Yacalam.

^I'm like you, as soon as I get used to the job and the challenge goes, I start to crave new surroundings, new challenges and new faces. Dhucdhuc, All the best walaalo, May Allah bless your endeavours and make the path easy for you. I'A. I'm on time-out myself, going to work on personal goals that have been getting sidelined for as long as I could remember. Salaams Sharmaarke, Thanks for posting, I've been avoiding the TV lately but I'll keep a look out for the brother, InshaAllah. I've one more reason to go to Qanat Qasba for my Eid celeberation. I can't wait to get back to the UAE, I'm not feeling the spirit of Ramadaan here in the UK at all. :-( P.s Horta, who won last year? I really liked the Yemeni brother, more for his cheek than his singing. He was such a smart boy m'a.

Right now, I can only think of getting into Paradise and keeping well away from hell. That would be a bonus. The one thing the really interests me is thearchitecture of paradise, when ever I see a really nice building or a great landscape or read an interior design piece; I find myself wondering about how magnificent the structural design in heaven this going to be. A house in lower depths of heaven will be far more superior [beyond our scope superior] than all the magnificence of this earth. And then there’s the cloths of paradise, silk, rich colours. And OHMYGod, the thing that just makes you want to prostrate and cry – knowing that you have any opportunity to see The Almighty One that has Created All of That and blessed you with it. Yaa Allah bless us with the taqwa to enter your paradise. Ameen. Originally posted by chubacka: The two pious ppl who are married in dunya will also be together in jannah aswell ryt? I remember reading about a cute couple from the the early sahabis and how that they were so in love, they have agreed that if one of them passed away, the other will not remarry so that Allah will reunite them in jannah. I can't think of anything sweeter. This is why husbands and wives should do their ibadaat together and encourage each other to do good. May Allah place that much love in our marriages… Ameen. Still, it's good to know that you've the option to upgrade [ September 15, 2007, 09:10 AM: Message edited by: Zenobia ]

I will I'A. p.s Thank you for the other night, you're such a sweetheart. Muwaah.

I agree with the article on all counts. Hala was amusing. Salaams and Ramadaan Kareem you two.

Ngonge, Myopic mullahs, eh? I'll respond after I watch the show and hopefully by then you’d have shed your amiable arrogance after days fasting. InshaAllah! p.s I don't take offence with the terms modern, traditional, liberal if used in the right context, I've problem with the attached connotations when Islam and Muslims are discussed in the media.
-
^I agree, the British media has started off this campaign of categorise Muslims into good (modern - not too different) and Traditional (you've got to watch them!). I'm not sure if the term is used by the sisters in question, we'll have to watch and see. Kalaf and Dabshid How about you obey Allah by following This Command; Tharnee waman khalaqtu waheedan

^Salaams Aisha, welcome back sis. That nasheed was urrm.. sad, real. *shrugs* JizaakAllah for the reminder. You know, exposing yourself to Arabic literature, lectures and nasheeds will make learning / understanding it easier. This is a lovely nasheed on the Quraan and iqera (my fav.).

^ There's nothing wrong in asking questions, don’t let anyone discourage you. It's pleasing to see a young brother that is so concerned with the boundaries set by Islam. *Respect! Anyway, walaal, it's better to take these kinds of questions to scholars but if I may, I just want to say that the issue or problem we have here points to an issue of tawheed and not necessarily an ignorance of the legal boundaries and limits set by Islaam. Once the believer knows Allah, understands the religion of Allah and its purpose in our daily life and how it links in with our aakhira will we have a deep appreciation and a wanting to follow the sharia rules. p.s I’m hoping brother Nur will come in and sprinkle some wisdom in this post.

^I third that! Yaa Sacuudiiii!! LOl@ Ghanima Sharmaarke means that he's problem is due to his Burcaaiw roots not the Saudi influence, magaratay? If only he went to Burco to get the Suadi beaten out of him...if only..! As for the topic, I'm marriage ‘talked out’ but I think it's needs to be said that nothing that is written on these walls will change the fate of women with silly men.

Wa Alaikum Assalaam warahmah malab. I'm all dhag, dhag and excited about Ramadan. How are you in that little place? I've participated one of the earlier events and it was pretty good but I'm waiting till get home before I start any courses. I'A The IIU looks good too. There's also the American Islamic University (AOU) which offers distance learning courses and it's affiliated with Al-Azhar university. May Allah keep the doors of knowledge open for us. Ameen. Ameen.

Interesting. I just don't understand how after so many years of contributing to British society, we still have to explain/ show the masses that we are normal people, with normal jobs and normal personalities. Britain a great place? Clearly not!

^Oo inay nasab yihiin ma muran baa kajiray? Besides, xamaaliga maxaa loo yasaa? He's the perfect oday replacement candidate; young, strong, energetic and knows a few Abdel Haleem Haafeth lines. p.s I think the lacag thing is just whitewash, no one is going to say gabadh i dhali kartaan, shukaamiyoo i guursatay

Ramadaan kareem brothers and sisers, may He accept your duas, prayers and fasting and increase your imaan, Insha Allah!
