It's important to know and understand your role, obligations and limits but I really don't like the checklis and going into a marriage armed with a list of my rights approach. It's not very conducive to the tranquillity, love and union mentioned in the Quraan, I think. Here’s a rare article that looks at it from the other angle: Link

^I forgot about one ingredient, just after you add the wtaer, add a handful of raisins. Sheherazad, Aha! You lucky girl, I miss my mums cooking

This is how we make ours, my Mum says that the ghee gives it a richer taste. 1. Heat some ghee ( about a table spoon) in a pan, add a bag of vermicelli. 2. Turn over until brown. 3. Gradually add about a mug full of water boiled in hail and some sugar. 4. Stir until soft. Serve with surbiyaan / biriyaani. Delightful. My family only make it at casuumads but I've some relatives that make it every eid. I'll try Dahias' white version, I love the coconut flavour.

Today, I've found the one.

An SOLer did pass away. A few years back, don't want to go into it. He was a great brother to many of us, May Allah have mercy on his and grant him Jannah. Ameen@UmmZakaria.

^Adiga, if you are so smart and intelligent, why are you and your mate Skipper tag teaming her in this thread and also here. She's contributing to the forum, giving opinions on the topics as your supposed to do in a forum but labadina seemed have got the whole foruming thing twisted. Instead of seeing what's being said and sharing your thoughts on the topic, you're stuck on Ghanima (amongst others in your case Lazy) and trying very hard to beat her down. She's ignored, laughed it off and weli waad soo indho cadihiin. True, she's special and she always commands our (stalkees) attention, laakin tiinu ka badbadis waaye. Stop trying to steal her limelight people, they sell torches at the pound store.

Originally posted by Haseena: Bismillah, Salamu Calaykum Wa Raxmatullah This hadith sounds very strange and different to the other authentic ahadiths attributed to the prophet * sallahu alehi wa salam *, I would appreciate if someone could give the complete isnad of this hadith. Allahu alem but in parts it sounds very fabricated to me. wa calaykum salam wa raxmatullah Wassalam Sis. Good call, this story is not found in the authentic books of hadith. I remember seeing this story in the AlMaghrib forums and this was the response of Sheikh Yaser Berjaz.. This hadith has already been circulating the web for quite a good time in Arabic also as a great hadith of the Messenger of Allah. It’s a fabricated hadith. Most of what is mentioned in it is there in some other authentic ahadith, but in this full form of a story is not authentic. Even for Fadaa’l Al’Amaal, (encouraging virtuous deeds) we are not allowed to narrate fabricated ahadith. Some scholars tolerate narrating weak hadith in that context after applying it to some hadith filters and go over specific conditions, but definitely not a fabricated one. Wallahu Aa’lam. Source

I'd go for the discount, I don't need the dentist to tell me to wear the hijaab. The Quraan was motivating enough but still, I'd never turn down a discount. Originally posted by Khalaf: ^^^I wouldn't trust the media, maybe it was a setup to ruin the brothas career? why now, why this woman? Whats his position in the british muslim community, is he vocal? Involved in dawah work? What's his background, any previous "terrorists", "extermist" charages? All good questions to ask urself before condeming another muslim sxbyall, always give the muslim benefit of the doubt. salaam What I've posted is not from the Media, just follow the link. Secondly, I'm not condeming the brother but his actions. There is a difference. I don't know, if you follow current events but there is a very active anti-hijaab campaing and a fundamental arguement used is that it's oppressive and forced upon Muslimas. This brothers actions testify to this, my support of him will endorse it. Thirdly, when hijaabis are barred from society because of discrimination from the gaalo, we wage the 'civil rights' stick. The General Dental Council happens to have code of practice that prevets this on a universal level, is it just to overlook this merely because a fellow Muslim is in the wrong? I'll ask again, would you react in the same way had this been a gaal that didn't want to treat a hijaabi? BTW.. He only received an admonition. Which isn't so bad.

Somali Woman Accused Of Stabbing Driver In Moving Truck

Stating the truth..LOL you remind me of that lady in Flight 13 markay tidhi 'naa tani xan mahee, waa faalo!' The truth that’s being told here is pretty relative, walaalo. Anyhoot, I also really doubt anyone here would have the guts to be this nasty had they been in the girls company, common courtesy wouldn‘t allow it. Waa gabadh walaasheen ah who appears to be going through a very testing time…she needs dua not abuse. But if you insist… khayr uun bay u noqon. I’A -

Pucca, let them be. Gabadha needs all the ajer she can get right now. Yala yaa banaat; KK and co...carry on passing all that ramadaan ajer to the sister. Such charitable darlings...Teheehehehe! -
I’m just glad that fetid ^ personal opinions hold no weight in regards to Islam.

They have the same thing in England, which is probably where she got the idea from. They give 250ponds when your child is first born and then another 250 or is 500 when they are 7. You put it in a special child trust fund account and make your own contributions and only the child can withdraw the money when they reach 18. There's even a sharia -compliant baby bond. With the increasing cost of university education this is a great idea, it encourages parents to plan ahead. The money would probably come out of taxes.

^Esp. when the motivation is seeking the reward of Allah. Something just aren't up for trade. Ngonge...LOL. I'm just preparing the brother. The poverty in Makkah just saddens me, it speaks volumes about the state of the Muslim Ummah. Millions go to make hajj, millions are exposed to it on a daily basis during hajj, yet we seldom hear about it and none of us seem to be moved enough to want to make a change.

^You can say that again!

Chubaka, Your diggs have been noted and forgiven. Ramadaan Kareem. This isn't a discussion about giving Muslims dawah but professional misconduct. You do not go to a dentist for islamic guidance. It's noble for the brother to advice sisters, it is wrong of him to abuse his position. It's that simple. Here are the fine details of the case. Professional Conduct Committee Programme of Business Monday 24th September 2007 at 14:00 pm Conduct case BUTT, Omer Shaukat Registration No: 77992 Inquiry into the following charge against Omer Shaukat Butt registered as of 67 Sheepfoot Lane, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 0DN; BDS Dund 2000: “That being a registered dentist: 1. At all relevant times you were practising as a dentist at the Unsworth Smile Clinic, 57, Parr Lane, Bury, Lancashire. 2. On 18th April 2005 Patient A, whose name is set out in Schedule A, attended your practice, by appointment, with a view to registering as an NHS patient. 3. You asked to speak to Patient A in private. 4. In the course of your conversation with Patient A you: (a) asked whether she was Muslim; (b) told her words to the effect that, in order to receive treatment from you, she needed to wear appropriate Islamic dress; © quoted to her parts of the Ahadith. 5. You told Patient A that, if she did not wear a headscarf, she would need to register with another dentist. 6. You instructed your dental nurse to give Patient A her headscarf. 7. The dental nurse took Patient A to another room where she was given the nurse’s headscarf to wear. 8. In seeking to impose an Islamic dress-code on Patient A in order for treatment to be provided you: (a) undermined public confidence in the profession by discriminating against Patient A; (b) did not act in the best interests of Patient A. And that, in relation to the facts alleged, you have been guilty of serious professional misconduct.” http://www.gdc-uk.org/General+public/Fitness+to+Practise+Hearings/Recent+hearings/butt.htm

23-09-2007 By Badea Abu Al-Naja & Saadia Mohandis MAKKAH, (Arab News): While authorities in Makkah work to ensure visitors to the Grand Mosque are able to pray in ease and comfort, some expatriates are making a business out of the overcrowding inside the massive prayer complex and reserving spaces to sell to worshippers. Crowds peak particularly in the blessed month of Ramadan, especially for Taraweeh prayers at night. People are known to leave their homes early and head to the Grand Mosque to find suitable places to perform their prayers. Recently, expatriates — many of whom overstayers — are known to charge people SR1,000 to reserve space for the entire month. Arab News visited the Grand Mosque and saw a group of expatriates, men and women, covering different areas of the mosque prior to Maghreb and Isha prayers. A few minutes before prayers, the expatriates switch places with Saudis, who have paid reservation fees in prior agreements. Many visitors said such agreements were inappropriate and should be discouraged. In the men’s section, Arab News followed a few expatriates to see how they operate. Arab News asked them to reserve a space in the front row throughout the month of Ramadan. Some were hesitant; however, one African man volunteered. “How many spaces do you want reserved?” he asked. “If you want me to keep space for four people, then the prices differ depending on how many days you want the reservation. I charge SR1,000 to reserve space for the last 10 days of the month and SR1,500 for the entire month,” he said. The situation wasn’t any different in the women’s section. “I’ve been renting out prayer space inside the Grand Mosque for a long period of time and everyone is familiar with the concept now,” said an expatriate woman. “Prices begin at SR500 and reach SR1,200 during the last 10 days of Ramadan,” she added. The situation is the same in Madinah, as crowds begin to increase, especially in the last 10 days of Ramadan. They are especially active in the Al-Rawda — the area known as “a garden from the gardens of paradise”, area, which is between the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) grave and pulpit. Expatriates arrive early to reserve a space for worshippers, as the mosque is usually full one hour before prayers; this is particularly the case inside the Al-Rawda area. Sheikh Ahmed ibn Qasim Al-Ghamdi, president of the Makkah Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, said that renting or reserving places inside the Grand Mosque is against the Shariah. “Being in the front rows is a virtue that must be acquired by dedicated worship and hard work, not by rentals and reservations. This harms other visitors and hampers the spirit of Ramadan, the month of mercy,” said the sheikh. http://www.arabnews.com/?page=1§ion=0&article=101560&d=23&m=9&%20y=2007

^dee adaa dalkii jogee, intaad buug iyo qalin qaadatid, odayaasha so o weydii. It’s not your typical poem though, more of a narrative describing the similarities between bisadaha and Soomaalida.
