^You can also benefit from fiction. Lily, I know what you mean, I've been thinking about that alot lately - it's a big thing in the UAE at the moment. Anyway, the second is similar it deals with tribalism, servitude and relationships.. again. I didn't watch the film. Both books depressed me but I couldn't put them down. Just got; in In Search of Fatima: A Palestinian Story..

TT Our people don’t give much precedence to fears, it’s just not accepted in our culture. Also, you're most likely dealing with women who may have experienced the worse of childbirth; FGM and childbirth. Additionally, most would have had their children in the third world where there wasn't much available in terms of technology and medical knowledge. Yet, despite this, they’ve had their children and lived with it. Secondly, as Cara said, it is difficult to convince others of your phobia. It is a phobia! It is odd to have a person who is able to have children, say they don't want to but would adopt instead. You see, to your takophobic mind it makes sense, for those of us living on the other side of the fence, it’s strange. I’m not trying to down play your fears, most of us have a certain level of fear with regards to childbirth but whilst many of us can get over the negatives and takophobes can't see past the perceived pain, agony and humiliation. It’s worse when your looking in on someone. In any case, the good news for you is that takophobia is recognised by obstetricians and there are measures put in place to help women deal with their fears. Don't give up just yet and keep your options open and speak to a professional. Adoption is a noble act in it's own right whether you have kids or not.

Agreed @ Malika. Sheh, try silky hijaabs and wearing it lose Arab girl style.

^I know people get divorced, but as the saying goes ninkaad kabaha ka gadaneysid, kuwuu xidhan yahay iska eeg.. or whatever, you get the point. I do agree with the central theme of the rules (not to be easy or too available) but the approach (some of the rules) is a little dodgey... First lady, I did the rules once, in my young days. He's verdict was that I was the most heartless xaliimo he has ever come across. Honestly, we Somaalis have to many rules as it is. Also, the author got divorced. As for topic.. He either loves you or doesn't love you. Smothering him or playing silly games will not change his feelings, but you can drive a man who loves you away, if your either too sugary or you use too much xawaash. Lol@ Jacaylka... might experiment with that list..

If you get married at other peoples say so, would you have your children at their say so as well? Or have the wedding they tell you to have or run your house, life and career and treat your husband the way they think you should? Our people have something to say about everything so you might want to start thinking about perfecting the art of 'haa iyo walle'. Basically, islaamaha ka neefi; indulge them and make them think that you're actually listening but don't commit yourself to their advice. I feel that they have a psychological need to dictate to you or show you the way of the world.. You strike me as a smart girl who knows what she wants and where she’s heading. May Allah bless the path for you. All the best. p.s Getting married is part intention but mostly qadr. It's already decreed so don't stress over it too much.

^How on earth did Dhuusomareeb get it's name? Has it been changed? I hear many towns have been renamed in recent times..

^Ma ila aragtay? Cidu xagay ka soo qaxday baa i haysa... The song reminds me of Bada Cas, though bada cas is much sweeter sounding to me. It seems like you are related to Guulleed? LOL. I must be, I just don't know it, yet... On the real, I just don't like recycled Music and he's not about that. People who sing other peoples songs shouldn't be called fanaans in my opinion. My other favourit (urrm. cousin) Awaale also delivers.. I'm all over those two albums (Tusmo and Adamow) at the moment.
