    Edited! Not *****y enough..
  4. ^It's always sunny, sweets. Well, apart from a week in December when it rains. (I'm praying it doesn't rain when my sister's here). So, you're definitely coming? I'm hesitant about my planned trip now.. Oct-May is the best time to visit Dubai, the weather is just gorgeous. LOZ, I think it's getting a bit expensive, here as well. Last time I booked a double room for a relative at Jubba it was 280Dhs. This wasin feb. Now, DD is saying it's 320. For Dune bashing and a few other things, go with Palm Oasis (just google). They pick up and drop off a no extra cost.
  5. ^Dune bashing is the thing but I think the camel riding they throw is the best part. @Abwaan. I can never remember names of hotels but this is a good website that lets you book online.. http://www.godubai.com Tip: don't try to book at the last minute esp. in Jan-Feb. Shopping festival. Jubba is the nicest out of the Somaali ones.

    Weapons

How does the weapon in car thing work. My only weapon is my camera phone. When the creeps in the jeeps try to hassel me, I get out my camera phone and tell em to say 'bedeekh'... They suddenly remember that they were in a rush to get somewhere.
  7. Something for the little brats running around the place with their 1001 excuses despite having a head start.
  8. Have you tried giving them naseeha? No deen in xan, sister. Illahay ha soo hadeeyo..kuligeenba, really. p.s this facebook thing waa balaayo, dad aany kaaga 15 ahaybuu sanka kaa mariyaa.
  9. I use adobe and youtube tutorials. Adobe tutorials are easy to follow. I'm still a newbie to the software but it's fun! *geek alert*
  10. ^LOL. They don't do they. Sheh.. Thanks for the tip, malab. I couldn't find sesame seed oil on it's own but black-seed with sesame and a few others. I left it on for a few hours and my hair feels lovely and silky. Alhamdulilah. I think I over did it on heat, been straightening for a few months.
  11. ^Do you like the results then? On your hair? If so, then it's worth it. I feel your pain though, your ordeal reminds of the plaiting sessions with my older sister. It was agonising and to top it off, she used to threaten to pour her tea on my head if I didn't stop complaining. qumayo.com Speaking of hair, mine are soo sickly at the moment..they need help. What did you put on her MsDD? I cut them last week..I think I need to cut another inch or do something drastic.
  12. ^I've no enmity towards you, geel igama maad dhicin, so I've no reason to twist your word. In fact, I'd much rather you held my view and my Somali is fine. We disagree on ideas, here. Either explain yourself or tell me to bugger off if you don't want to defend your statements, but waxas oo kale ha noola iman. Nephthys, Umm..theoretically, I'd stay in Muqdisho too. MsDD, Indeed, no one deserves to be raped. That's the bottom line.
  13. Lily, Any woman who ends up getting raped anywhere in the world is ultimately told that she's at fault. If they're not flirtatious bimbos, uncovered meat (remember that one) their silly tahribites.. That attitude is obhorant to me because it down plays the criminality of rape and gives those creeps a sense of justification. We (me and you) take risks everyday, even in the land of law because we hope that those things happen to others, not us. The other day, I was told that the number of rape cases was much higer than reported in the UAE- should I lock myself in my home? These sisters just happen to also be in a very desperate situation. p.s the part about rape in Somaalia was directed at Alamagns statement on staying with dadkooda iyo dalkooda. How will he explain the sisters that get raped there? I suppose they would be at fault for breathing? Besides, if Somaalia was a bed of roses, we would not be having this dicussion.
  14. ^Even you, yaa Lily.. How easy it is for a man to type such words of condemnation from the comforts of his home! Easier than trying to think of ways of perhaps helping the sisters or demanding some justice from the culbrits.. even for a minute.. Also, are you telling me Somaalia hablaha laguma kufsado?? News flash, it happens all the time dear, if not by Ethiopians [ay dadkoodu usoo kaxaysteen], it's bloody 'freedom fighters' who rape and then stone?! Possibly the reasons why these sisters are running away.
  15. I don't get the shocked / scared reaction to these lists. Aakhir dunya or not- we all have a personal end that's eminent.
  16. ^ hunguridhoofey.com Iska yara sug inta lagu keenayo. This is a good business venture, JB. With all those camels in SL, there should be several factories making chocolates, shakes, cakes from caano geel.
  17. ^So excited, he posted twice! They've been talking about this for a whole year now, haven't see it in shops though.. ..hunguribaxay.com They have the milkshake though..
  18. Just add fresh fruit like a banana, strawberry, dates, (whatever that's in season but avoid acidic fruit). Add about two table spoons of frozen yogurt / ice cream or a few ice cubes and blend with the powder.
  19. ^Lol! Thanks dear, will let you know how it goes...
  20. ^OMG! LOOOOOOOOOL. Takes me back to my childhood in KSA... *watch out, the mudawac's about*
  21. ^It's in her signature sis, I guess you can't see it. It's HUGE! What's in my bag??? The world and his extended family. One needs to be prepared for all possibilities...
  22. ^Try, http://www.al-hidaayah.co.uk - they have a few booklets on his work. Also try - http://www.dar-us-salam.com . Jizaak Allah for the post BG, I actually have that book, need to read it again. Insha Allah. There's another book which contains the works of Ibn Qayyim and Al Ghazaali. One of the best books I've ever read. Really good for when you loose touch and need to reconnect. You can download from here; The Purification of the Soul and the The Path to Guidance also by Ibn Qayyim. p.s I think we should have an e-book sticky thread...Insha Allah.
  23. Reer Hargaisa, Tell us what your magaalo has going for it in terms of tourism? I'm considering a trip. So, sell it to me..
