^Teach anywhere is a great site. The best schools (British Curriculum) have recruitment days in the UK in the Autumn term (for the following Sept.) which means that the best posts or Sept.2009 are most likely already filled. Best employers (from the grapevine) are GEMs schools (several across the UAE), in Dubai there are Raffels International Jumeirah Primary School, Jumeirah English Speaking School, School, School of Research Science (some management issues here but it's a lovely British-Islamic school) and Star International Schools. Steer clear of e-waseet, gulf news and dubbizzle job classifieds - they are targeting people based in Dubai and so you won't get the best salary / package offers. Teachers don't enjoy double salary like the construction workers, in fact you may have to get a salary cut but packages which again aren't as great as those of finance / construction, you'll still get housing allowance (shared flat, mostly), flights, medical. So it's possible to have fun, shop and save a little- if you are single. With a family as sole breadwinner, it's gonna be hard. Everything is up for negotiation here, so do your research on costs of living, average salary and have an idea of how much your salary should be (realistically, we all think that we're worth millions) before applying or the interview- you will be asked- so be prepared. eslcafe.com is a good site, so is expatwoman.com Oh, just noticed you said educator as opposed to teacher. If you are a learning mentor or guidance counsellor - there's nothing here for you. The UAE / ME is just not there yet.

Ms DD, I never admit it to Omanis but *checks around for an Omani* it's like Somali xalwah, less oil more flavour and variety, so much better. Ng, I know why you're being smug. Huwa maa fee ma3loom. LOL. T/C.
-
It's neither. They make them just like they do in Muscat. I'll mull over it till you get here. I don't want to get into trouble.
-
^Haha. Speaking of sugar, I found a shop selling authentic Omani xalwah the other day and thought of you. Not sure, if I should tell you where it is though. Heads or tails?

^Sunday. That's more than enough bro, I can't thank you enough. I think she has 20 minutes and they planned a dance or something. Will let you know, how it goes. I'A.

^Good stuff. Best diet advice, ever: “The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going. If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one third with drink and one third with air.” And exercis, keep very active..just make your body work, then let it rest. Increase your protein intake.

^No, not at all. I've learnt so much from that. Wow! Thank you so much, sweets. What we had done would look like wiki entery. LOL.
-
^Thanks. Yes, Marx. Her's will be a generic presentation about the people, culture and country. She's a third generaion Sujui, so she doesn't even know the politics. LOL. Adam, LOL. I know, you could bro. Sh.Sharif needs ya. We've covered the first part. The investment potential it, we're a little stuck with. Thanks. JB, Looks like that website could do with some editorial TLC. Thanks though. BTW.. I won't be able to comment on this thread after tonight but I'll send her the link - so she can follow it. Thank you all in advance.

There was this tape that used to do the rounds in the late 90s. I think itr was called shadows, some of the ideas on that tape seemed so far fetched in those days but are pretty common now- like the government intrusion on personal privacy. These social networking websites that make us share our every move / thought with the whole world (and advertisers). On the dajjal, I think it's best to stick to what the Quran and sunnah say about him because there are some dodgey views about him. Also, shaytaan has always been working to make the dunya more desirable, so that we forget our aakhirah. What we see in the media is a reflection of the psych of humanity with regrads to the dunya. I mean really, how often are our daily actions (even us Muslims) a reflection of our desire for the next life?

^Good caption. Haye, you have more.. JB, Bal adigu, Somalilands tourism and investment potential ka sheakee..

^What's that, Cawo? Be serious naayaada, this isn't about me. I'm researching for my friends James Bond, Salaah Al Arab. Adam Zaylac, where art thou? Ibts. I'm no fulay. I would actually move there in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity.

I'm a none-Somali who wants to know about Somalia. Why should I visit it or invest in it. Sell it to me... p.s images would be useful. EDIT: I'm not kidding, a friends younger sister has to do a presentation at uni. I know some of you are really good at selling Somalia, so help the sister out.
-
Congrats, Kool Kat. Make them fit in with you. All the best, sis.

You're meant aspire to be like the person you're named after or it's a reflection of what your parents want or hope for you, how they felt about your birth or it's just a pretty name.

I've brothers, been through this phase many times. I wish I took photos to document it. Once you get passed the show, it's actually cute. LOL@ sadex xaas. See, men who could have xaas(as) don't fantasise about it online. LOL@ Fahima. What's the point though, he's damned if he passes and damned if he don't.

LOL@ C&H. SQalby-Adayg is at that age when they suddenly discover their manhood. He even wants to fly all the NZ to see how it works. Full disclosure. There are open minded people in the world.
