Mogadishu: More Somali Police units arrive : Pics
LayZie G. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
^DUKEY, check out the 7th picture. I just spotted a child soldier, end of the line. A child soldier for heaven's sake, what is so heroic about that? Unless oo curi yahey, which is highly unlikely, the head of the police force is very incompetent if he is allowing minors to sign up. Other than that, I can finally say how proud I am of the progress the police force has made to recruiting these young and very very old men. Very impressive and I couldn't be more proud of our force, well done. where is the somaliland police force that took 17+ yrs to build? A better question is whether or not they have such a thing in the first place, hahaha. -
Ah huh, I was right in my previous findings. She was running the 200m, lol where are the silly liars who said she was running 400m and 800m. Did anyone watch the 10,000m running for men. Abdi abdirahman, the sellout was running for USA, lol. pathetic, somali waa kaas, dadkii aa naku yar and he goes and runs for another country oo dadka ku badan yihiin.

Rahima, sister we all do respect, but everything you just said above is the doing of the mothers. You said it yourself: At a young age mothers are up all night nursing their children, teaching them life skills. Mothers are the ones following up on their child’s education, at every parent-teacher interview. Mothers are taking their child to the health centre when he/she is ill. Mothers are taking their child to dugsi to teach them the Qur’an. Mothers shop for the family, pay the bills, cook, clean etc. Mothers are unfortunately roaming the streets of their neighbourhoods at night looking for their teenage sons when they come home late. Listen to yourself for a moment, you just said mothers do it all. Mothers didnt have the children alone, therefore they shouldn't feel that they have to do it all. There is a father thats part of the family, include him in. Why not make him take responsibility, why should you let him off the hook? Women did this to themselves. Women give a free pass to these men and later on when things get tough, they start pointing fingers. As far as your mother and my mother are concerned, they are great mothers and god bless all mothers. Its time somali women learned to make their men take responsibility, instead of living apart for months and years while she carries the burden. The truth is mothers will continue to do what you described above unless they put a stop to it and make their hubby share the responsibility and make their hubby learn to be a parent for a change.

^not necessarily true Zu. Growing up, I had both parents. Mommy and daddy were supportive and loving.(they still are) However, I am very critical of fathers more so than mothers.(got nothing to do with my relationship with daddy) I was and am still critical of fathers because I have seen it first hand what an absentee father does to the family. This epidemic of fathers working in a different state/province/country, while mommy is taking welfare in other state/country and raising cabdi, liban and anisa is how children are lost. There is no family structure and as a result the child gets off the wagon. Its really difficult for a child to survive in this time and age but suviving without both parentst is very serious and difficult. The key is both parents need to share the responsibility and blame that comes with being a parent. Overtime, we have all made generalizations and I feel its his time (saqayaan) and he should be allowed to express himself. Nothing wrong with putting a blame, as long as later you realize that there is more to it than meets the eye. Be passionate, point fingers but learn from it is my motto now. In my findings, I found many mothers are physically present in the child's life but are just not there for the children emotionally. In conclusion, both are seriously to blame, mother and father. Just as I learned to look at all parties and judge them fairly, saqajaan will too learn that one day. Lastly, I don't agree with you bringing his experience with daddy etc into discussion. Saqajaan is not underoath, he shouldn't have to answer nor are you people allowed to get personal with him. He brought up an argument, general or not, and you need to either argue against it or leave the man and his thread be.(that goes out for all and not just u ya Zu)
-
^the same can be asked of u. Don't ask something of a person that you can't deliver yourself.

^as women, we do have tendency to blame men just as saqayaan and his likes blame us for our children's failures. I'm not a mother but I blamed fathers and men in general for not taking interest in their children's lives. I found that the single most reason boys, more than girls get in trouble is because they are out there seeking that connection they lack at home, especially one only a father can provide to his son. Hooyooyin are great, they are my hero's, but at the same time they can't provide everything a little boy needs. Maybe some can, but not all mothers. Therefore, its vital that the child gets support and love from both parents. This way if one is less, he can seek the comfort of the other parent. I will be the first person to admit and say that I blamed absentee father for how the son turned out.(seeking refuge and sense of belonging from outside, gangs or friends from wrong side which leads to trouble) I didn't for once thing about the mother's role, all I saw was an absent father and a mother who is present but not in the way the child needs and wants her to be present in his life. In other words, she might as well be absent because she is not giving the child what he wants from his mother since his father isn't around. Saqayaan is not saying anything new or shocking here. All I read so far is a nin giving us (women) and mothers a doze of what we long accused men as fathers.(this has to be a two way street, we can't do all the finger pointing and except men to just sit there and not fight back ladies) On the other hand, I don't agree with saqayaan's point about father's being the providers. We are living in the 21st century, therefore mothers are providers as much as fathers. Nowadays, both men and women are equal in every sense of the word. Don't you dare forget that, and don't make me repeat myself ya saqaan. ...continue.

Sharif waa xaarlow, what more does he want? Musharraf said he is leaving, so why not let him go? No need to humiliate the president, after all he did step down in the name of the people, regardless of past mistakes. He should be applauded for putting the interest of the people before his, atleast once during his tenure Musharif is alot of things but today no one can dare accuse him or call him names, after all it takes real guts to come out and say what he said infront of his people and leave with his head held high. About time Adeero realizes that too. Sooner or later Adeero is going to get his @dukey. He might as well come out now and tell us that he will not be seeking re-election if he is not willing to step down now and own upto his failures. Sharif and his muslim league party are pathetic and so is the people's party co-chaired by a young boy and his daddy. Yesterday shouldn't have been a day of celebration for pakistan, this is just the start of something ugly. It is the beginning of a power struggle between two power hungry odayaal in pakistan. Its like re-living barre era, dictator leaves and the little people won't know how to get along or communicate after they overthrow their leader. Pathetic, nacalaa paki's la uraan. On to terrorism, hada yaa al qaeda celinaayo. They will own pakistan, and there is no one that will stand their way, not unless they are willing to look over their shoulder and live in fear. A hidden bomb under their vehicle or a sniper taking aim as they did for benazir. Either way you look at it, wax hada pakistan kusoo kordhay majirto.

^u don't know what you are missing. Swimming, diving, track and field and basketball are the best events to watch and that I personally follow. I gotta admit I like beach volleybal, first time I watched played in the olympics. I watched couple of matches, fantastic, but not the team volleyball they play indoor, boring. Aduunyo gymnastics aan ugu necbanahay, and I watched my first marathon tonight. First time ever I watched marathon from start to finish, which the exception of the middle. I was very impressed with the 41 yr old american swimmer. She was definitely the BOLT of water, just sick. She almost had that silver on both matches, relay and the 50m. Rudy gay is overhyped, he didn't look confident on the heat and I actually found him to be g a y looking, and not just his lastname. How about that bolt, did anyone watch him in HD, lol@myself. The focused camera sure does justice. Only chicks would know what I am talking about. He is one ugly duckly, but his jeesto makes him look appealing, can't do nothing but love him for it. Arrogant b&stard.

Something to Talk About: Causes of a Sexless Marriage
LayZie G. replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in General
^problem in the bedroom ya j-baro? This thread reminded me about this couple that came to a show called the "view" not long ago. Husband and wife have written a book about their intimacy and I am not sure what the exact title of their book was. It went something like 365days of intimacy/s*x or something. The co-author, the wife decided to award her hubby an entire year of s . e. x on his 40th birthday. It wasn't just intercourse she promised, but real intimacy.(u can buy their book to find out the real results) My advise to you is, try not to think about what your partner is not giving you, but do your best to find intimacy with your partner. -
Oo qofta maxaa u asturan? I had few choice words for the above comment, but I decided to keep it to myself. However, I do believe that there is no winning with your likes. Hadey gabadha asturantahay, you have a comment to make, hadeyna ahaan laheyn, you would have said something. I just don't get you people, what will it take to hush you all up? A burqa/niqab perhaps? I'm sure even then it won't be enough. I think she looks good with what she is wearing, to add to it aad iyo aad ayey u asturan tahay for track and field standards. If I were in her coaching team, I would advise against wearing hijab in sporting events and competitions, but more power to her. I think she rocked it on the above picture. Getting back to the somali olympians, couple of sites I went to had the girl listed at the 200m, still no evidence that she made to the 400m heat that I have seen or whether she will make to the 800m(the official site says TBA for nation listing) As for the man, the 5, 000 and 10,000 m is not listed yet.(no way to check which team will represent) To sum it up, I think you folks just dished out some false grouping for the two athletes, just a hunch, ya dig? On a serious note, has anyone actually seen this girl compete in the heat for the 400m, or you people just like getting into the habit of copying and pasting from bogus somali sites?

^ are we still talking about $2,000? The man who called your adeero didn't ask for $20,000 did he??? My advise to you is to pay it all by sending the money back home to the rest of your tolka with children. They need the money, not a cold blooded murderer. This way everyone else is happy except the man who called to collect the money, the killer and his family. Trust me, this will work because it will send them a clear message. PS:murderer's dont have any place in society, he ought to be killed by the family of the victim. Eye for an eye sweetie.

My dear poster, I don't think you deserve to be censored for expressing your thoughts, nor do I think you deserve to be critized. However, I do want to remind you that days when women were told what positions to hold or where to stand are long over. We don't stand behind men anymore. We are not second class citizens where society is concerned. It took a while for us to get to where we are today. We are scholars, we are doctors, we are hedge fund managers, we are ceo's of big corporations, we are head of state's. In the case of Hilary, we were potentially a major party's nominee until obama robbed her of that nomination. We are recognized worldwide, except by your like minded folks. Yes, it is your dreams, but disriminating against genders etc is a no no. It doesn't sit well with me. You need to know that no one person or dream can dictate how many women occupy what seat etc. The other thing I have an issue with regarding this fantasy of yours is bringing in people from the outside to lead your 4 or 5 position you discussed above. Most that read the thread get lost the moment you mention something about bringing others and the other half of your readers are lost by the mention clan this and that. Forget mixing clan with politics. One more thing, pick up your notepad and pen and start re-writing your draft as you have a long way to go. Lose that attitude(u exist because of a great woman, soo maaha?) and maybe then can you seriously make noise with this dream of yours.

Villa Somalia: President Yusuf holds court clarifies issues
LayZie G. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Dukey, you and I don't have any issues about who is somali and who isn't. You are a wadani and I respect that. YOu love your country and so do I, but please lets concentrate on adeero and answer the man's question.(che) PS: My problem lies with those that want to meddle in our affairs but at the sametime support separist state and not with you, a patriot at heart. -
Villa Somalia: President Yusuf holds court clarifies issues
LayZie G. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
When Somali’s were killing each other he made peace with Aydeed and the USC in Galkacyu a bold move then and which its fruits the people of Mudug have enjoyed for decade and half. Dukey, I am glad you brought this one up. Why can't Adeero adapt the same strategy where the kabaaks are concerned? why can't he reach a deal with them? Why does he have to wait for a pm from same clan to do the job if he has long proven he can do it without losing sleep over it? C'mon dukey, what is keeping adeero? If adeero did anything right, I would give him his due, but he hasn't and he continues to point fingers and I personally find it disgusting. It isn't my fault or anyone who is critical of adeero when his appointees fail him. It is his own fault for appointing Cade and geedi, no one made him pick folks from the sidewalks. Tell me what qualifies Geedi or Nur cade for the position of PM? Geedi is a loser and Cade is not a man of politics. The only reason he keeps appointing losers is because of what qabiil they represent and then he goes pointing fingers when they fail him, seriously, do you want to go on and on about this? Maybe what he needs to do is forget about appointing PM's and should take the duty of pm and president. Who cares about pleasing clans when adeero has the skills to negotiate with different types of warlords that represent numerous clans? I want to see the day Adeero takes the matter into his own hands, but I am sure you can't tell me that day is near, can u? -
Villa Somalia: President Yusuf holds court clarifies issues
LayZie G. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
However Yusuf appointed two PM from the same clan and what have they achieved? none could bring his clan and regions and all they did is get rich and one lives in Kenya, the other will no doubt return to London. I would very much appreciate if you take the "clan" language out of your reasoning. If you want to discuss success and failures lets just discuss individuals. He brought this clan or that clan is not a way to govern and thats one of the main reasons we will probably not get along for sometime to come. Just for a moment, lets forget about whose clan is represented in the top seats. You can't elect anyone from across the street based on your adeero's need to complete his numbers on the 4.5 formula. If clan representation was a successful formula to govern, we would have had peace sometime ago. Our inability to reason and discriminate among this clan and that clan won't allow us to function based on how many is representated from each clan. NOw, getting back to clan play. If we really need to be honest with ourselves, Nur cade's clan is not the folks that are bombing women, its another sub sub clan etc whatever you want to call them, we both know who they are without naming names. We both know their aim has been destruction for a very long time, long before and after their general died. The notorous warlord aka gediid. That said, adeero can't just put a blame on cade or one before or one after cade based on failing to bring their respective clan to the peace negotiations. If Adeero truly believes in somali weyn, he will forget this notion of his or her clan talk and serve the people, as he is the "people"s president". If he wants to leave another man to deal with one of the important challenges facing his administration based on qabiil affiliation, then nothing will ever work.(his 4.5 formula was doomed before it was ever announced) I repeat, your adeero has got to learn to put the the interest of somali weyn before anything else and it seems he can't do that. He would rather wait on someone else to take care of their qabiil before he decides that the man just isn't suitable for the position and there goes the hunting for another nur cade's clan when the problem is not the men but the way adeero operates. PS:without taking anything from adeero's accomplishments in p-land, p-land is not south somalia, and p-land was not crushed the way south somalia has for a good 15 yrs +, and p-land didn't lose as much as south somalia has lost for over a decadate, close to two decates. Yes he did establish p-land state, but so what? It isn't not as thought p-land was affected by the civil war era in the 1990's. Anyone could have went in there and did what he did without being adeero. -
Villa Somalia: President Yusuf holds court clarifies issues
LayZie G. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Ya general, if only you had a moment to go back and re-read your reply you would realize that it is you and not I that didn't make any point, valid or not. My question is clear and I am asking you dukey, an avid supporter of adeero, why hasn't adeero taken responsibility for the failure of his administration? (security, corruption, negotiations etc) Why hasn't adeero come out for once and said nothing has worked and its time I step down and not put a blame on a pm or anyone for that matter? If adeero wants to sign off on every aspect of the governing, why can't he also take responsibility for every aspect of the peace negotiations as well as the stability in the city and these budget talks? The very idea that you will not admit adeero's failures is disturbing to say the least. For once dukey come out and say that adeero has not once taken a blame for anything. So, exactly what is adeero doing? just signing off on things and thats it? Is that what his job function is all about? Adeero is immune to having put blame on his head? The only way adeero can leave a legacy for his children is if he did the right thing. By that I meant, he needs to set a time and say if at that period nothing is resolved with the opposition and security improved, I will not only step down but I will take all the blame that comes with it. Adeero can't continue to afford pointing fingers at anyone but himself, sooner or later the time will come when everyone will see what I just pointed out to you and they will be fed up. PS: I applaud your sense of patritosm, but at the same time, you have to admit to yourself once in a while that adeero is just not right in the head eedo. -
lol@JB, ahem ahem.

^lol, hhhhhhhhhhhi kk... Dadkaas waa color blind ee iga daa warkooda. PS:How about em canadians?300+ strong athletes and probably 1 to 2 gold medals among em, hahaha. They were bigger than the french team and great britian and they will be doomed as well.
-
Waa useless. How are they suppose to compete when they can't even get the color of the flag right? They are an embarrassment to the nation. Has anyone noticed that both flags are out of wack, too much blue on one and a little too much sky blue on the uniform. This is a real somali flag

Villa Somalia: President Yusuf holds court clarifies issues
LayZie G. replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Yusuf has the right to question what version of islam allows the bombing of innocent women, just as I can impose that question to the militias. However, yusuf can not excuse his meddling by summing it up with " I can be fired, and so can mohamed dheere". He can't meddle in city or munipal affairs when he has bigger issues to deal with, such as finding ways of dealing with the opposition. His energy ought to be focused else where and not who gets hired or fired. What kind of a president doesn't have time to sit in the peace table to negotiate with the other side, but has time second guess his pm decisions and reinstating a major that was fired for apparently good reasons? If there is proof that the major of mogadishu is mismanaging funs that are meant for the city, then as a pm, Cade has the right to fire the man. Yusuf needs to remember that he is holding a position that is ceremonial, since he left all the decisions to nur cade, aka why he feels that cade isn't delivering peace and putting stop to this madness that was ofcourse created by Yusuf and CO. You either let your pm do all the work and butt out or share the responsibilities as well as the failures that come with it. As far as Yusuf is concerned, he can't do wrong. He had all the time in the world to resolve the somali crisis, but instead he is too busy reinstating a thief into a bogus position as city major. Yusuf needs to act like a president and deliver, or else sit tight and and wait and hope that tii allah comes for him before someone gets to him. This is for Dukey and CO, why is adeer not coming out and saying, I am a failure, I have had many chances and my administration has yet to deliver on its promise therefore I will leave at the end of my terms if comprise can't be reached with the opposition by the end of the year? Before you start with listing the improvements, remember that thousands of our people are starving and have no place to stay. Folks from the ground are calling and saying that they are all fled, ie afgoye and saying there are thousands and thousands of people that don't have a place to sleep. The camps set in afgooye have reached its capacity, so you tell me exactly what your adeer has done other than to drive the very same people oo u dhaho president aan u ahay from their homes?? Why are more people dying? why hasn't anyone stopped these animals aka kabaabs? C'mon, what is holding up a yusuf? Its time A yusuf looked in the mirror. He has some tough decisions. He can't just sit go through pm after pm and not once take the blame himself. What kind of a president hides behind this so called "constitution" he keeps making a reference to? -

Atleast with you dukey, you are an open book, love it or hate it. Likes of Gaduud and his secessionist brothers and sisters are undercovers, shedding tears for our people today, and fiesting on our misery and turmoil tomorrow.
