Written by Silent-Sista: farax says to xalimmo ' waxaan rabaaa in aynu is barano, waan ka helay (farah says lets get to know eachother, im feeling u) halimo says haye walaalo, lakiin walaaltinimo, iyo saxiibtinimo aynu isku barano (hailmo says 'ok bruv, but on the brotherly and friendship level aight!') this means, she dont see u in that way, she aint feeling u, but she dont wanna hurt your feelings and tell u str8-up, if u opt to agree to her terms,,,, please dont think she will grow to love u, with time , this is a msitake i see brothers making over and over again! SILENT SISTAH, I JUST WANTED TO SAY TO YOU THAT YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH, AND YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY FOR THAT COMMENT ALONE. BUUBTO, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS YOU ARE DISAGREEING WITH, BUT IN THIS DAY AND AGE(OR ANY OTHER ERA), IF A WOMAN IS SEING A MAN AND SHE USES THE WORDS "FRIENDSHIP", "LOVE YOU LIKE A BROTHER" IN HER SENTENCES, MORE THAN LIKELY, SHE REALLY MEANS WHAT SHE IS SAYING TO HIM.(SHE LOVES HIM LIKE A BROTHER, AND WANTS HIM TO BE HER BESTFRIEND, PLAIN AND SIMPLE) NO WOMAN IN HER RIGHT MAN WOULD WANT TO SAY TO A POTENTIAL MATE THAT SHE SEES HIM LIKE A BROTHA AND WANTS HIM BE HER FRIEND, C'MON NOW...AND I DOUBT BACK IN THE EARLY 1900's or even back in 1800's, tHEY USED THAT KINDA TALK TO MACK EACH OTHER, NO WOMAN IN HER RIGHT MAN WOULD SEE A MAN SHE IS INTO AS A BROTHA...(maybe a friend, because you gotta like the person enough to want to have a relationship with) BtW..WHAT I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND IS WHY MEN, WHO HAVE HEARD THIS IN THE PAST, FAILED TO UNDERSTAND THAT SHE REALLY FEELS THAT WAY ABOUT U, AND THAT THERE IS NO CHANCE IN HELL SHE WILL CHANGE HER MIND ABOUT U AND HOW SHE FEELS, AND THAT SHE WILL SOMEHOW GROW TO LOVE YOU 5, 6, 7, 10 YRS FROM NOW???(IT AINT HAPPENING, DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH)

Charisma darling, that’s like asking who should drive the more luxurious vehicle in the family, the wife or the husband?(In reality, it should be who enjoys driving the luxurious car, it’s a desire to get what you want, no spouse needs to compete with the other half) Your question is very misleading and somewhat controversial, that’s why I think it should have been, "who is more eager to get a higher education", the husband or the wife??? After all, education is a privilege, its a goal one sets for themselves in life, and lets face it, not everyone is a book worm.(there are just as many educated women, as there are in men, just like there are as many uneducated men as there are in women)50/50 I think anyone whose is eager enough to get a higher education, whether it be getting your bachelor degree, masters, phd, whatever, should get it.(The other half should support that, or else there shouldn't be any marriage to begin with) and I also agree with what x_quizit wrote.

written by Boolbaro or nuune or whatever his name is... sullen sue, believe me sister, i really don't know whether u know af somali or not, okey, thanks, u can also put my af somali reply in other forums like politcs telling people how i responded in somali language, thanks again in advance, and i appreciate dat u let people know, macsalaamo Sue, you really touched a nerve here, I just find that very amuzing, because you made the classified files public, and that really pissed him off from what I've read so far. This makes alot of sense now, I mean, here I was thinking how can this nonsense go on as long as it had, and we know now that these so called "B" to the "A" to the "R" to the "O" folks are run by non other than "NUUNE", mr he wanted to keep this in the hush hush, thats why no one says anything about these pple, because nuune is not only SOL favourite, but he is the mujahidiin leader among his B-A-R-O clansmen.

Fever wrote: Gabartaan fiiri!!!! you think comron iyo R.kelly in laga yaqaan Xamar or baadiyaha..If you go to some jungle in Africa, you will see some men wearing pink. You would be surprised waxa laga yaqaano Xamar and baadiyaha. how do you know what's in the jungle of africa, ooh wait...don't tell me, you are part of the masai or some other kukunua tribe... I never said I have issues with men who wear pink, I just said, some of you so called straight men, wouldn't dare go out in public with a "sissy" colors, such as pink couple of yrs back....but now that U saw straight "black men" wearing brighty colors, including pink on national t.v, just gave you the confidence booster you needed. My other issue is that pink or any other bright color isn't for some men. You just have to take one hard look at your mirror when you leave out of the house in the morning, thats all.(just as some colors aren't for certain women) pink is a normal color in every wear alse in the world. Only the west and its westernized world have this Idea of boys wearing blue and girls wearing pink... Only you have that idea of "boys in blue" & "girls in pink", because you are living in the jungle of africa, remember fever??? Do you know in Somali or in Africa, Men hold hands? and in the arab world they kiss each other from the mouth (which I believe is siiiiiiiiiiick) No, I didn't know any of the above, I was born yesterday you know??? HAlf of the time, I don't think you realize what you are writing fever....It isn't about all arabs and africans who show affection, so do most of europeans, and even part of asia...but that isn't the discussion here, is it fever??? but holding hands was a normal thing in Somalia because we didn't have sick people. we have only came to know that they excisted when we have came to this part of the world. You are right about that, but how do you know that somalia didn't have "SICK PPLE", just because I've heard about these so called "sick pple" as you referred to them few yrs ago, that doesn't mean they didn't exist in our country, and for you to come out and pretend you know everything about somali just makes you seem ridiculous. Has anyone ever told you that you have a mouth that runs all the way through the new jersey pipe line.....???(I highly doubt it, they are probably too busy ignoring you)

So what he left the thread open, what does that have to do with anything being discussed here??? How hard is it for some of you to understand that the decision has already been made, its in the process as he said so himself. He hasn't asked any of you how you felt about it or whether or not he and the others should go back on the idea. Bottom line is, I don't know why this thread was opened for discussion, maybe he was acting humanly for the sake of y'all, and wanted to make y'all feel important???(Are u happy, now khayr)but his reasons for leaving this thread open is of no importance to me, and sadly to say, it is for some of you and thats just pitiful. Regardless of how some of you feel, I highly doubt that there would be strick regulations concerning the new section. For instance, have you all thought of the time moderators would waste, by searching every section of this forum and looking who responded in english/somali and to add fire to it, they would delete it??? You all realize that the moderators who moderate this forum aren't here 9-5pm, no one pays them as far as I know, and for you to think that they would take time off their lives and put extra effort into looking who posted in the general section with the intentions of writing somali, and who posted in the af-somali thread with the intentions of writing english??? Do you realize how ludicrous some of your questions are??? I wondered what some of you were thinking when you asked that question as I was reading your comments, and I came up with absolutely nothing. The lives of the moderators doesn't revolve around you all, just like y'all have lives, they do too...(NOTHING IS CHANGING, THERE WILL JUST BE ADDITIONAL SECTION TO THE FORUM, GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIVES PPLE, OR GET A HOBBY)

I highly doubt that these same boys who responded to you magnoona-G, would have had the nerve to even consider wearing pink(whether it be fair pink or darker pink shade)2-3yrs ago. Whether you are from eastafrica/west/south/north, or even afro-americans, non of you would even think twice about such things, and just because camron came with the pink jersey/r.kelly, and camron later added to pink shades, shoes, and so forth so forth, just because he did it infront of millions of youth, it has become a fashion, like the nba caps, or back in mid 90s when big boi of outkast started to wear retro baseball jerseys on videos...(we had our period of time when folks were wearing baseball jerseys) then we had the football jersey era, and then we had the basketball jersey era(That already existed) but the retro b-ball jerseys were added to the mix, and all of a sudden throwback jerseys became a fashion sense...then all of a sudden every little boy/girl is wearing an nba cap, and some of them aren't even familiar with the team they are wearing, its the colors they are into...or this and that wore it on a video...and NOW.....(even though I got a little carried away on the subject) we are on the pink era, pink shirts, t-shirts, pink shoes, alegators as well....(the pimp colors are back) only because this is the season of colors, I, myself was never fond of pink(even though I own two items that have fair pink color, shoes and a skirt...gifts from my sis, she got it just to piss me off...). There is very different shades of pink's out there and men, whether they be macho type or sensitive are all wearing it because they saw so and so wearing it on t.v...(c'mon now, don't front, you know u were ashamed to wear anything but gray, black and white, you know thats the truth, dont start an argument with me about this, believe me, do not start..becuz if u do, then the truth is hurting you) PS: not every man can pull certain colors, especially pink, and no, some of those skinny boys have no business wearing pink shirts, even though they are pretty fair colors and hardly can one notice its pink, its still pink and colors are for folks who can carry it, whether u are wearing green skirt, white top and yellow look alike manolo, not every chick can pull that off, the same way certain men need to stay off those colors, and those stripe shirts are killing my eyes, I mean, JAY-Z moved on, nick cannon moved on, they no longer wear stripe shirts, that was last fall, not this summer, its too damn hot and I still see farax's wearing it, and there is 3-4 of them together, all wearing the same style, different colors, how ridiculous is that???

I don't recall reading anything about taking a vote on having "AF-SOMALI" SECTION of the FORUM, yet most of you went out of your ways to voice your opinions on the matter.(What's wrong with you all???) I don't think admin posted this thread to ask show of hands on who is for it/against it... He sounded like he already made his mind up, and for some of you to start pickering at each other, and for certain individuals to take cheap shots@admin himself, thats just sad...("ADMIN FAVOURING THE FEMALES??? thats very childish) ADMIN HAS NOT MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT RULES & REGULATIONS REGARDING THE NEW AF SOMALI SECTION.(from my understanding, he just means, any thread that is written in somali would be moved to the new forum, but I don't recall him getting into the specifics. Regardless of some of you responding in somali/english, your comments will be intacted as always whether they be at general, women or any other forums, its just that the somali threads such as "SHEEKO JACAYL" and others written in such manners would be categorized(STRICKLY SOMALI) will have their own zone, so that those who like to read that story in detail and more threads like would have the opportunity to respond, and those same individuals can access it directly at the somali section of the SOL FORUM) One last thing I wanted to address, I don't recall admin mentioning anything about who has been complaining nor has he gotten to gender specifics, and I think that no member in this forum needs to tolerate such behaviour from the likes of khayr and his clansmen...(THAT COMMENT WAS UNCALLED FOR AND I THINK YOU NEED TO PAY THE CONSEQUENCES, WHATEVER THEY MIGHT BE) BOTTOM LINE IS, THIS ISSUE WOULDN'T HAVE COME UP, HAD Y'ALL STOPPED FILTERING THIS SECTION OF THE GENERAL FORUM, Y'ALL BROUGHT THIS ON YOUR OWN. (I DON'T CARE IF SOME OF YOU WRITE IN SOMALI OR ENGLISH, I ENJOY READING BOTH LANGUAGES TO SOME DEGREE AND I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BOTH SIDES NOR DO I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ADMIN'S DECISION...)

Question 1: Do all of us think of what we write when starting a topic or posting a reply? Answer #1)Ofcourse, there is definitely some thinking involved in my part, but mostly it comes out naturally.(Especially when I am responding to a thread someone posted, I do it by confronting the individual and speaking my mind freely, and if certain characters view that by being negative (meaning me), so be it, Becuz I am not here to care/change how pple view me, but more like make a difference, show the light at the end of the tunnel to those that need it, and believe me,there is a handful of you that fit into that category of the "blind man" with a keyboard) Question 2: If there were students that learn from the wisdom of the words we write (in SOL), do we think our words contain any useful information that can benefit them (student)? Answer #2) I haven't learned anything useful from SOL that I already didn't know, but I think that certain SOL members words can go along way to help out the youth around here. Question 3: About chitchats, do our words in regards to general talk contain anything beneficial to any reader that browses SOL, or does our chitchat serve any purpose? Answer #3)You have to be a little more specific as far as "General talk" is concerned...You mean, the entire forum or just the threads posted on the General section??? If you are talking in general, I think there is only 3.5% out of 100% that serves its purpose to the outside, but that percentage can always improve folks, believe that. Question 4: When we start a topic what is our intention? Are we after learning from others' opinions or just to seek popularity of some kind? Answer #4) Personally, whenever I post a thread, it always serves its purpose. My intentions are always on the money with my threads. By that I mean, my topics are things that matter to me, things of importance to others that needs to be discussed, but its very rare that I post a thread nowadays, its still sends a strong and effective message.(thats how threads should be, you should have a plan whenever you are posting a topic, you have to weight the pro/cons, you have to think about how pple will perceive that topic, and most importantly, is it worth posting and filtering the forum, and taking all that space?? Your second part of question #4 When I read/respond to a thread, I am only after my honest opinion on the issue being discussed. I don't have any intention of learning from other's opinions but more like confronting their choice of words, and there are few people out there, they know who they are. (I'm watching you, Ima keep coming after you, whether you like it or not)

To: Qacbaro & Crew You brought up the fact that Devil's Advocate posted a link to an article written by a jew. Have you forgotten who controls everything you are reading and watching everyday..???(If you read that is) Jews own just about everything you read, see, and hear....(YOU PUT MONEY ON THEIR POCKETS, YOU MADE THEM RICH AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO QUESTION AN ARTICLE WRITTEN BY some JEWISH WRITER???) Essentially everything you know or you think you know -- about events outside about your neighborhood or circle of acquaintances comes to to you via-daily newspaper, weekly news magazine, radios and television and guess who owns/controls those???JEWS... I'm sure you watch t.v, don't you??? You will be glad to know that.... ""American Broadcasting Companies (ABC), Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), and National Broadcasting Company (NBC). Each of these three has been under the absolute control of a single man over a long enough period of time-ranging from 32 to 55 years-for him to staff the corporation at every level with officers of his choosing and then to place his imprint indelibly upon it. In each case that man has been a Jew." Do you watch movies??? WELL, HOLLYWOOD IS OWNED BY JEWS.... Do you read news papers/magazines??? You will be happy to know that "The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post" all owned and controlled by jews once more....and you realize that these newspaper companies are the once who decide what is news and what isn't on an international level, almost the entire world reads that..... Do you read books??? YOu will be glad to know that " The three largest book publishers...Random House... Simon & Schuster , and Time Inc. Book Co....All three are owned or controlled by Jews...The CEO of Simon & Schuster is Richard Snyder, and the president is Jeremy Kaplan; both are Jews too." Are you fellas happy now??? All in all boys, YOUR Tv NEWSNETWORK,YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER, YOUR FAVOURITE NEWS MAGAZINE, FAVOURITE PUBLISHING HOUSES(THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE TO READ, LIKE I DO) ARE EITHER OWNED OR CONTROLLED BY JEWS....and my point is... ... THE NEXT TIME ONE OF YOU TARDS COMES OUT BASHING JEWISH PPLE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER THE INFLUENCES THEY HAVE IN YOUR DAILY LIVES... Good day boyz....

I think she's clearly a lying b!tch who was after the money and was willing to see someone toss in the slammer for a rape he wasn't guilty of. Are you serious??? If she is a lying, no good gold digger, why did Kobe release that statement, prior to the charges being dropped??? On that same statement released by him and his team, he stated and said "I can see why the victim thought different than he did, at the time of the encounter, and that he apologizes, and can understand why she would feel the way she did at the time(a year ago) and still feel(at the present time)...." Basically what that means is, I am sorry I forced myself on you, if I could help it I would (I couldn't control my urge to scr*w u),get over it and life goes on, and u know there is a fat cheque coming to you soon...(thats how I understood it, as I was watching the news lastnight) Did he really have to be in every headline story, in every goddamn news channel???? Either way, the colorado prosecutors will have what's coming for them, I doubt this is the end for them on this matter...(Sure he cant be re-tried, but no one said he was innocent either, and his reputation is scattered all over..therefore, the situation can't be reversed...regardless of him having to avoid time spend behind bars, he deserves everything that happened to him so far, this will teach him to never force himself on any woman, regardless of how much money he has in his bank account)
-
Why do you always put the blame back to somali women??? why do you men always gotta come after women who tell it like it is... No one is making up these so called "accusations" as some of you think it is just another way of somali women degrading somali men....when in truth, majority of you have no idea what you want in life, and in turn would blame others for your own flaws.... Gediid, you should know better than to compare your own "educated sisterS" with the SOL women. No one is alike, in reality, be as it may, even men aren't alike, so the next time you want to show off your educated sisters, do not try to take cheap shots at women in these parts of the forum, or else its just gonna make you look like the same "men" being described in this very thread....(btw, being educated isn't just all about graduating highschool,Sir)
-
There is no need to rationalize your own words, or those of others....(I could care less) and speaking of no need to call people ignorant just because they don't share your opinion. who are you referring to as "PPLE", I don't recall singling you out, or anyone else for that matter... Sooner or later I knew one of you narrow-minded individuals would cook up such nonsense as, am I related to her or something??? Do you have to be related to someone in order to point-out others foolishness???
-
Did someone say "U.S.A" ..... U.S.A, U.S.A,U.S.A, U.S.A..... ........U.S.A,U.S.AU.S.A........... I am glad marbury got his groove back, 31pts, made record breaking u.s basketball history on an olympic level, what more can a fan ask for...??? Can ya say, arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. Too bad, I am sure there were few of you out there, who didn't think this group of men could accomplish a medal, but I am sure you will be changing your minds soon enough.... Personally, I would be satisfied with a silver, if they capture that, let someone else get the gold for once, thats coo, but getting gold is a bonus, this time around....(its more challenging, don't you agree) SPAIN GOT CRUSHEd, too bad I didn't get to watch the game, but the highlights spoke wonders... They should re-run those games on evenings, when folks are at home.
-
Did you say that it was a "natural reaction", talking down on someone who wears what she is comfortable witH?? Do you want to be made fun off for wearing goofy shoes??? (if u were wearing it) ........I doubt it......... What if she likes what she is wearing....and she thought she was setting a trend for herself??? It's rare that pple see eye to eye, especially when it comes to fashion or what not, but thats besides the point.... Why did you not have a "NATURAL REACTION" to GALE DEVER's funky nails?? Could it be because she is a well known olympian, who is known world-wide and holds gold medals. (Becuase of that isn't not alright for y'all to comment on her weird habits) Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what that girl is wearing, and no, I wouldn't wear it, only because it doesn't suit me, but I am sure it does suit her.(So what she made a mistake and ran in the wrong lane??? Felicia, the canadian sprinter, she fell, gail devers herself fell, pumped on those hudrell lanes in embrassment, had she given up, she wouldn't have to end her olympic trip that way, it was nasty fall...and somali girl ran in a wrong lane, no one made news of it, only somali pple) No one reacted naturally to anything, and you need to stop justifying other's ignorance and hatred... If the somali girl was a gold medalist, who was known world-wide, I bet you wouldn't find one negative thing to say about her, but then again, you are somali, nothing would surprise me...nothing @all... One individual would comment on the fact that she is muslim, shouldnt be running, another has issues with the color of of her bandana??? another one probably would comment on the shoes, what is next???
-
Lets face it, somali pple, especially somalis in this forum have tendencies to go off topic, regardless of what the discussion is about. For instance, we have several pple here discussing someone's banishment, as if its of importance to the rest of us??? So what he is a wanted man, and that moderators are keeping an eye on him, do you think pple care??? .........(I didn't think so)......... Getting back to what CURLY SUE said, and yesyou are right because this discussion has turned to somewhat anything besides what u intended it for, but this isn't the first time and it sure won't be the last....(I, myself went off-topic, only because the engine was already turned on, and I went for the ride) Bad/Good publicity, it doesn't matter to most of the somalis pple who take part of this forum... Bottom line is, they just don't care, and some individuals are going as far as making sure that this site hits rock bottom, and get toast out like all the other trash the somali pple got their hands on.... I don't even think most of you who responded to sue's thread thought of opening the link to the article sue was referring to...(now do you think these pple think if they get bad rep)??? ...... (I didn't think so) ...... Everything that was said on that website is true...I don't disagree with it one bit, and they have every right to go ahead and insult somali pple, because thats what we do to them...(fair play) I just wonder what that dude "madmullah" was thinking trying to defend an entire nation thats at fault for their own ignorance???? I don't think that he knows what he is talking about...and Ima leave it at that.
-
The truth of the matter is that, each one of us has a right to definite him/herself as best as they see fit.. In the eyes of a white-man, we all are black, doesn't matter if you have curly hair, you just have a lighter skin,(nicely shaped noise).(We are all seen as one) If you say you are somali, surely you have to accept the fact that you are african born, and bread... if you pple can't accept the complexion of your skin, too bad, y'all are on denial... Somalis tend to think of themselves as high and mighty when it comes to dealing with non-somalis, especially african born pple or pple who have a darker complexion...Y'all call them "jareer", what right do you have to call a black person jareer? I never understood that one, but hey, if it makes you feel superior, u go on ahead and keep distancing yourselves from black pple, surely you know, all of you are blacks...like it or not... PS: Words of advice to those that have been living on denial all these yrs..::: you are treated "black " everyday of your lives, and you can't come out and tell me that isn't true....Start accepting it, the sooner , thebetter. Someone made a comment about being black is rooting for black pple on their success.(Being black doesn't mean you have to be ghetto in all sense of the word, just be you and accept that you are black, first and foremost..., you dont have to cry when denzel wins oscar, that isnt being black, thats just being proud of the minority actress/actor in hollyhood and its a choice, you dont have to root for every black person you see on tv, or every black politician)
-
This is the same scenario of that somali girl who didn't qualify for the 100m. You pple have so much energy and time to talk and talk and talk until the cows come home, but who are you pple talking to??? Rahima, what makes you think that this somali born athlete values your opinion of him or whether or not he cares if he sold out??? Let me ask you, do you have a full-time job??? If yes, do you see anyone accusing you of being a sold-out??? This man has a full-time job, and on top of that he is a professional athlete, and to him thats a full-time job, same as you or anyone of us here who hold jobs...its just that he happens to represent a country that isnt his birth place....SO WHAT??? What right do you have to judge someone who is making a life for himself, and matter of fact, what makes you any better than those who took shots at the somali girl who was competing for 100m(from left to right)??? You are no better....and I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself...especially when it has to do with someone's lifehood...
-
With all said and done, y'all wish you were in her shoes, running for your country, on the wrong lane...or not The difference between haters like khayr and the sister is.... She is an olympian, khayr isn't.... she is in greece, he probably will never set foot in that country... She made history, his idea of making history is being negative... she knows how to run, he doesnt.... PS: SOME OF YOU CAN'T RUN, MUCH LESS RUN IN THE WRONG LANE, GIVE IT A REST HATERS...Y'aLL ARE DISGRACE TO THE SOMALI NATION, TRYING TO MAKE FUN OF A GIRL WHO WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO REPRESENT HER COUNTRY AND HER PPLE, AND WEAR HER HOMELAND COLORS WITH PRIDE....DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO DO WHAT SHE DID, TRAIN, AND SPEND ALL THAT TIME AND ENERGY???? I DIDN'T THINK SO DO ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WENT THROUGH TO GET TO WHERE SHE IS @@ OR HOW THIS MAKES HER FEEL, HER OWN PPLE MAKING FUN OF HER FOR RUNNING IN THE WRONG LANE????
-
I couldn't have said it better myself, Jay. You are right about Larry's defensive minded self, it just isn't needed, but then again he has coach popovich as assistant coach, another defensive guru himself, you gotta wonder where they will get their offense from??? There just isnt much patience when it comes to shooting better percentage, and the shot selection is just disastraus..(gotta be able to distribute the ball more)I hope they get off wherever ship they're sailing, becuz they are sinking as we speak. I would hate for these young, first time olympians go home empty handed. PS:JAY, even though you are a man who knows what he is talking about, I disagree with you about carmelo....This isn't college hoops, we are not playing with a punch of 18-20yr olds here....(most of these players dont even dunk, and all they know is how to shoot from all over the courts, thats what they do, shoot , shoot and shoot some more...and ofcourser quickness, ability to steal, assist, because they have good eye cordination....they know who is where and when, and will do whatever it takes to pass to that player....so excuse me if i think melo has no business being there...matter of fact, he shouldnt have been there, but then again, U.S team will take whomever necessary to fill the roster, since no one is willing to volunteer, what was he??? EVEN JAMES HAS NO BUSINESS BEING THERE, BOOZER, and list goes on as to who deserve to be there and who doesnt, but thats a different time, and discussion

Amen to whatever Scorpian said... Back to this whole "i am new", "I'm a newbie" business. If you so called "new pple" want some sort of recognition, why don't you open up a general welcome thread, and everyone who registers can directly go right to that thread and let others know that they are new and should be noticeD??? Don't you pple think its a good idea to do that, or just got to an existing thread that another "newbie" already opened, and let pple know u are new as well??? Don't you pple think thats a great idea??? Meanwhile, you pple are welcome to keep posting, and opening up threads all over, but this is just a suggestion, something you ought to think it over, and no offense to whomever opened this thread, I just preach alot and this isn't directed right@u...but more so to the folks who opened up this renewed trend as of late... Ima let you new pple think that one through, see if it helps you all, OK?

The sunday game against the puerto rican's was just nasty. You can't come out and disrespect the ricans and call them "lil", bottom line is, the ricans came out and just jumped right on them at the start, and from that point on, the u.s team kept fighting from behind, and thats not what you want to do with team's like the ricans, that aren't even a favourite for bronze... U.S team, especially the young players that are on this team, aren't fired up as they should be.(The only players I've seen who were eaged to play competitive basketball was Duncan, as always, Odom was just amazing aside from his fouls, and Ai did a wonderful job...and I can tell wade can bring alot to the table...he doesnt seem very discouraged at all....I know marbury is the starting point, but he is struggling mighty bad, and he needs to come off the bench to maybe motivate him or something...the rookies, carmelo and lebron are useless at this point, I understand why they came, only becuz no one else wanted it, but they shouldnt get any minutes, aside from the last 5 or so, if the team is leading big...I think okafur needs to see time on the floor, bottom line is, brown needs more big guys, and who knows, okafur might be the fire he expecting all this time, aside from duncan....boozer is doing ok job, but just OK doesnt cut it when you want to be the most powerful force there is on that floor against the entire world...and I think jefferson needs to stay off the shooting, so does marion, those two have no business shooting, their job is to run and dunk, or grab the ball and hit 12footers, or 18's if they are open...} That whole business with jefferson and those 5 or 6 three's he took in the first half, have got to stop period, or else brown might be looking to exit back to detroit earlier than expected.... I think the line up with wade in the point, a.i in the shooting position, with duncan at center, odom at small, and marion at power works... If larry works with that line up, thats a fired line up,he will get what he wants from the other players as well. You can bet that when ai is busy stealing, and with wade's quickness, who else can run with him but marion's length and versatile dunks in the open court??? While he is at it, why not let odom wait on the 3 point lane, and let duncan stop the big guys behind, and let him pass back to odom if he is open, which he should be.....VERY LEGIT LINE UP, works like magic....but we will see what happens next game against greece....this should be a blow out game, i am expecting atleast 20points+

Cute-Lil-G,your question has turned to a rather amusing discussion. To answer your question, yes, I would allow it, I doubt it would make a difference, but he will have my blessings if he had honest friends...(male/females) What I think on the subject of friendship between both genders is rather complicated matter altogether. I, unlike some of you here who have had so much to say, with so little experience... actually had opportunity to experience what it feels like to have male friendship, more than one occasion.("some of you" eg....khayr, shoobaro or whatever your name might be, that is whom I am referring to) I've had good experiences with male friends but it didn't end happily ever after on some. The reason for that is because, it ended up being that my male friend happen to develop feelings for me, one time or another... at some point of the beginning of our friendship, he figured by being my friend long enought would lead to more than friendship, and turn to relationship or what not...(One dude actually stopped being my friend, and decided it was either us being a couple or it would be difficult for him to see me dating, where as the one I am referring to actually understood it, and just took it like a man) It took a while to find out, but when he did come out and explain his intentions and what he wanted, which was Me, I had to tell him, regardless of our friendship, I was honest enough to tell him I wasnt interested in him that way, nothing more than friendship and I would understand if he would stop being my friend because of it...(this male friend was actually very understandable, and he said, no harm in asking right) I happen to be someone who picks her friends very carefully, and I happen to pick few good male friendship and vice versa, whom were more of a gentlemen than anyone of you can ever be and the fact is, they just couldnt help themselves, but doesnt mean they were any less interested in my friendship, they viewed my frienship with high regards, and until this day, we are still friends, but had the truth not come out, it probably would have ended differently, and we wouldnt still be friends....but because he had confidence to come out and tell me, made me respected him more, and ofcourse it was awkward at first, but we went back to being ourselves , and I am very proud of that fact. All in all, I think it is possible to develop friendship from the opposite sex, but its complicated, and not so easily maintained as it would for the same sex friendship.(it takes honesty, trust, and understanding to maintain friendship from the opposite sex) Back to the matter of friendship from the opposite sex b eing "haram". I'm not gonna get into a long discussion about what is haram and what isnt. Its only haram if you think you are doing things you shouldnt be doing.(if you dont the trust and have zero confidence to get along with the opposite sex, because you think you might do things that are haram and forbidden, then you shouldnt be making friends period) On the matter about "allowing" as Og moti put it lightly, no, no one can give orders or rules to follow, especially if its marriage... What you have to understand moti is that, no one brought up that argument about men being allowed, and who cares if you are a somali man for that matter, what does it matter if u are chinese, no one cares....the important thing is, marriage shouldnt be about control or dictatorship...we are not living in a communist world, where we have to dictate what our other half is doing or shouldnt do, or where to eat, or how to dress, or who to look....if u are married, or you are in a relationship, just live it, enjoy it and if it works, it works, if it doesnt, because of infidelity, so what???

Djibouti team had 2 players, or atleast thats what they wrote on the nbc stats screen. I didn't see the entire somali team, I just saw a glimse of the old man with the flag... The italians looked good, out of all the nations I saw, as far as looks is concerned(Their outfits were a match for their men), the dutch team came second on my list, they had few good looking,blondie's...(outfit looked good on them blond boys) PS: I've been hearing alot of trash from the sports casters, and I want to see the U.S men basketball to redeem themselves, just put it all out there for tomorrow....JUST COME OUT AND KILL THE PUERTO RICAN'S...THE SAME WAY BRAZIL BURNED JAPAN, DAMN 127????THATS WHAT I WANNA SEE, TOO BAD THEY DIDNT AIR THAT GAME...(ITS A D*MN SHAME HOW NBC ONLY AIRS WHAT NBC WANTS THEIR VIEWERS TO SEE, VERY BIASED I MUST SAY) WHY CALL YOURSELF "THE HOME OF THE OLYMPICS." SO FAR THEY HAVE BEEN AIRING ONLY THE GAMES AMERICANS ARE TAKING PART ON, ON TOP OF THAT, THE CANADIAN BROADCASTERS ARE AIRING ONLY THE GAMES THAT CANADIANS ARE TAKING PART ON, AND ITS SAD FOR CBC TO DO THAT BECAUSE THE CANADIAN TEAM HAS NO CHANCE IN WINNING THE DOUBLE DIVERS, OR THE SINGLE HEAT 400m, THEY CAME ALL LAST, SO WHY BOTHER WASTING IT ON THOSE LOSERS???

Are you kidding me??? This forum is beginning to look like a dumpster....(No offense to Admin/moderators) How long is everyone gonna pretend to ignore that the same pple are filling up forums with trash. Not only that, these same pple are coming up new ways to identity their alter-ego's. On top of everything else, their alter-ego's are complimenting them, how odd??? I find this very disturbing and pray for all the alter-ego's who recently registered. May allah be with you all. I asked my alter ego (I happen to develop one recently) "are we imagining all of this???" SHONNA, (one of my favourites) speaks up " and says I highly doubt it.
