Sista, do you mean would I prefer to be in control of the relationship, in other words take charge of him??? I have a tendency to dominate my relationships, and if that makes me controlling, then I'm guilty as charged. For once, I would prefer someone else take charge, besides, I get bored knowing that there isn't a challenge in my relationships, and that usually spoils the fun out if it. To answer your question, yes, I would prefer for once the man to take charge or as u worded it "CONTROL" of the relationship. Age isn't an issue with me with younger guys, the younger the better. I will be explaining to you what I agree to be things that all Muslims should do for Islam in the west from #1 through #20. At the same time I will be explaining some of the things I disagree with above as well. I agree with 1 throughout #8, but the buck stops @9. I don't agree with the fact that sisters should be seeking professions that are needed in the community, but more like seeking professions that interests them, if their interest is helping their community, then it should be something that they need to decide as individuals. Another field where Muslim women are needed is law. Marriage, divorce, custody of children, and inheritance are all issues which directly affect Muslim women, and for which they will rarely find a Muslim advocate. There is a need for sisters who know Islamic law and the local law to help Muslim women deal with issues like these with sincere, sound advice, as well as sympathetic support. I agree with you on that note, but for you to continue and say Is there a Muslim woman doctor in the house? For the most part, the answer is no. No one knows, and especially you, we don't know how many muslim women doctors exist(or whether or not it needs to grow), especially in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, fertiltiy specialists, etc....(do not assume, because it will make an *** out of you and me....) Many of you might heard the news that Turkey's Islamic-Governing Party's plan to re-introduce proposal to "outlaw adultery", even though it will cost them the chance to become a member of NATO. It was also reported that they might go ahead and not re-submit this same proposal that was rejected previously, but to also re-phrase the "adultery" phrase, because there was some noise from the european union, and might instead call it "SEXUAL INFIDELITY"???? What do you think about the idea of criminalizing "adultery"/"Sexual Infidelity"? I think this is a good idea, only because it will definitely help minimize the chances of Aids, and other related sexual diseases that is become epidemic in the world. Don't forget, this might also help families stay together, divorce rates will decrease, and men won't have an excuse to go ahead and cheat, and yes, I am making this men/women issue.(Only because men are known to cheat more than women)

Juxa, you are right, anaga microwave mana lagu soo korin, but we were born and raised in somali.(I also gave out the ole school option of defrosting, as well as kool-kat's tip on putting the meat on the lower part of the fridge) These children today are being fed a different type of food than we could ever consume in somali, thats why all of these children, who are about 10 yr olds, almost look like 15 yr olds, and the 15 yr olds look like 18, 19 yr olds...(All those chemicals that are on those foods is the cause of this, and no we did not have that problem back home) Bottom line is, avoid bacteria, even though bacteria is just about everywhere. Getting back to cooking simple dinners. Lets say you have the food ready by 9pm, and you cooked, pasta/rice and some hilib or chicken, u probably will finish eating quarter passed, depending on how quickly you finish your dinner, are u willing to go out for a long walk afterwards, or are you going to get on your treadmill??? If you are going to be eating high carb, high calorie foods past 7pm, you might wanna consider coming up with a plan to digest that food before you go to bed, and I don't mean sitting infront of the T.V and flipping the channels. You might think you are skinny, and you are probably are, but chances are if you were to measure up your body fat, you would probably have a higher percentage of body% than a fat person. It does not end there , you probably have a higher chance of being diabetic, high sugar, high cholesterol, all caused by the foods you intake... For those of you that are on the heavy side, you might thing, oh well, I am already fat, I might as well juggle those leftover bariis hilib at 10pm...(BAD BAD MISTAKE, HIGH CHOLESTEROL, CHANCES OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HEART DISEASE THAT WILL ULTIMATELY LEAD TO HEART ATTACK...STROKE, AND LIST GOES ON & ON....) My advice, eat as light, as low carb, low intake on sodium, sugars past 7pm...eat the good carbs, avoid the bad carbs... How about coming up with a healthy time-table.... There is 7 days in the week, so, 4 days, you will eat hilib/chicken/beer(as in kidneys) or whatever you enjoy eating with vegetables with low carbs, such as small amounts of bread/pita's...believe me, teaching yourself step by step will help you...and remember, i am not here to preach, but to help guide you to a healthy living....(I have very good healthy recipes, (mouth watering dishes), I will be more than happy to share it with whoever....(EATING LESS BARIIS AND BAASTO WILL ALSO SAVE TIME FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE PRESSED FOR TIME TO COOKING LIKE SHOOBARO, AND THIS WAY, YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO GET CREATIVE ON WHAT YOU ARE cOOKING AND IN NO TIME, YOU WILL BE LOOKING INTO MORE DIFFERENT RECIPES....and most importantly, you will look good and feel good)

"Take the hilib out before you go to work"??? Are you kidding me, thats like welcoming bacteria with open arms. No food, specially poultry food should be left out in the open that many hours. Quick tip of defrosting meat/chicken... When you get home and ready to cook, just make sure you either put the meat/chicken in the microwave in order to defrost, but if u are not a microwave fan,then you might want to do it the ole school way.... ole school defrosting.... Take a digsi out, turn your stove on and put the frozen hilib/chicken in it, a little water, and every 1 minutes or so, turn on each side, and in no time the ice should melt. PS: Set a timetable, just until you start to familiarize yourself, and in no time you would turn out to be a pro....(especially if u enjoy trying out new things, be creative, because it can't always be baasto or bariis)

I don't see what the fuss is all about... The bottom line is that no one in this forum is out there on the side-lines for both sides of the region. Nagging about what should or shouldn't be done all the way from your cozy apartments/houses/flats isn't going to cut it.
