  1. Lazygirl i was gonna answer u.. but no need to answer back to some one who is not my level.. hmmm, you don't wanna address me, yet you are addressed me anyway? (ininka wuu isku dardarsoomey, xanaaq maa intaas kaa keentay? War, cuudi bileyso, oo ramadan aa lagu jiraa) AyYo Wiilo, what does a yankee fan do after a loss as big as wedneday's? I have a feeling sox's might just close this out, yet again. They are on a hot streak, no stopping now.
  2. LoL@Marry someone you know.... Do you think it makes a difference if you marry Adeerkaas's daughter??? (even gabadha or wiilka dariskaa) Remember, the close ones are always the freakiest. It doesn't matter hadduuu abtigaa yaqaano or eedadaa....bottom line is, you should be getting a physical check-up every 6 months, thats twice a year. (no excuses) A complete physical is a must when you are about get locked on marriage, this shouldn't be open for discussion. Some of you were just right on the money, and some of you are plain naive.(talk about marry someone familka yaqaano) Do you think your family knows he/she's sexual history??? Those of you that think you might not have a nerve to ask your significant other to get tested, it doesn't have to be just HIV testing, because you are not just searching for HIV alone, get a complete check-up and it isn't up for debate.(let it be known pple)
  3. I think the woman is very disturbed. The story seems phony, but then again, maybe inanta way fududaatey. and that is what happenes when member of the family runs away from their family, who is to blame, the family or the daughter, I think both. Cidda oo inanta dhaleen maa blame saare? You are making excuses for this woman. If this story is true, then I don't think her running away has anything to do with her converting to Christianity. There is no question that this woman is lost, she never had Karti to begin with. Maybe she wanted to belong with her Christian friends, and she dug a deep hole, and realized that she couldn't dig herself out of it. I'm sure she would have said the same thing if she had a Jewish friend instead of a Christian friend, or even a Hindu friend. My point is that it makes no difference, and I don't think with her running away from her family had anything to do with anything, therefore I disagree with you Nuune.
  4. the Luqman 31:18-19 is irrelevant in this case, because it doesn't apply to the question above. She wants to know if there is a hadith that actually supports the claims of the "confused woman"'. Remember pple, this girl isn't out there walking a certain way, or talking to grown men in a soft and seductive voice, she is talking to kids for allah's sake...and I don't think you people are getting the point. You are talking about "PROPER CLOTHES", don't you think she knows better when it comes to her clothes etc??? If you don't have any supporting arguments to the claims made against her, then there is no point to discuss this further, because the claims are false. PS:Chocolaato or anyone else thats reading this topic, the next time someone approaches you and talks to you about what is right/wrong in our religion,or (what's haram and what isn't haram) and if for whatever reason, you are unsure about what you are hearing or you believe in your heart that it doesn't make sense to you, PLEASE LOOK UP. DO A RESEARCH, OR ASK FOR ASSISTANCE OF OTHERS IN HELPING YOU RESEARCH IT. Do not rely on others to help you figure this out, because chances are, they might repeat the same things they heard from others or make false claims. You are better of getting to the bottom of the questions, especially if you are unsure, and this way it gives you an opportunity to actually learn the religion.
  5. My plan is always to keep praying. My goal and biggest challenge for this holly month has to be taraawih, taraawih, and more taraawih. The goal I set for myself is 2 nights a week of attending tarawiif @ the masjid, with a hectic schedule and all.(Very doable )
  6. Ramadan Kariim to everyone.
  7. wiilo, damn how can u like the Yankees, unless u have crush on Jeter or A rod.. i don't get it loool. Did anyone ask you to get anything??? Just because she is a girl, she has to have a crush on someone to be a yankee fan??? Sometimes I wonder if your views are as black and white as your blank remarks. How do you function in the real world, nin yahow?? Back to Wiilo, I am not a baseball fan, only because their season is very long and not to mention boring...but I tune in during playoffs, its much interesting than their regular season. I am actually watching the sox and yankee's as we speak, sox fighting hard to win this game. In any case, baseball is boring but nevertheless interesting in a very strange way.
  8. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha First he was her stalker, then he started to become her blackmailer?? She fell for her stalker and later killed him in the heat of passion/revenge??? It all sounds too made up...(atleast I read the entire somali version, and thats what I understood) If he was initially stalking her, why didn't she just report it???(very simple, innit???) He stalked her from her school to her home, and even got hold of her home phone number, and all of a sudden she started to fall for the guy and later ended up stabbing him??? Are you kidding me here, hahahahhahahaha, this is just hilarious. This sounds one of those hollywood scripts gone bad type of thing.
  9. Tenacious J, rl, and Tyrese u say??? Wedding songs are best left ole school, the keith sweats of the ole days, the boyz ii Men as u mentioned above, and ofcourse new Edition. Speaking of new Edition, try to get these songs if u don't have them already... 1: "Lost In Love" New Edition 2: "Earth Angel" New Edition 3: "With You All The Way" New Edition 4: "Roni" New Edition (thats my favourite song, but I don't think its appropriate for a wedding.) 5: "Maryann" New Edition...(if her name is Maryann, then you definitely found the track u were looking for. I've listen to it few times myself, not bad. I checked to see if I could get the lyrics to this song, and here it is... enjoy) I’m sitting here, writing this letter, Hoping it will make you feel better. We’ve been through the sunshine and the rain. And I never realized you were in pain. Someone has mistreated you, Left you all alone and blue. And don’t you know it hurts me, too, And, baby, I know my life won’t be the the same. And if you hear me call your name... Maryann, you will never need another. Here I am. I will be your real lover. Someone else’s plans and his schemes Left you with these broken dreams- Dreams that keep you up all night, yeah. I know my life won’t be the same. And if you hear me call your name, girl. Maryann, you will never need another. Here I am. I will be your real lover. You and I could make it if stay together, baby. And if we try, we will blast off to forever. woah, woah! Maryann, you will never need another. Here I am. I will be your real lover.

and suddenly the laws seemed alot tougher which in turn slowed down the amount of somali immigrants coming to Canada. You are right about that, but these changes just didn't stop "somalis" alone. As we stand there are barely any new somali immigrants in the country and I would say the percentage is very little as compared to the other ethnicities. You couldn't have been more wrong on the above statement. There are hundreds of new comers who came just last year alone. The reason why the percentage is very little as you stated is because the somali communities that vary in this nation isn't working together to bring our people in canada, as other cultures are doing for their people. In our city, the somali community worked along side canada immigration and our city hall, to try and bring hundreds of new comers from kenya, and it worked. (the project was in the works for a long time) Our community, just like the sudanese community in our city made the effort to do something about it. The sudanese community started out with few individuals, and now, there are thousands of them in this city, all thanks to canada immigration, and we, even though don't compare the number of sudanese new comers, are getting there, we hope to get couple of more hundreds soon. Last year alone, oct.-nov. of 03, there were literally over a hundred somali new comers that our city welcomed, mostly women and children. Jan. o4 this year, another 50-70 new comers joint us. Our community organized a welcome party for these new comers, and we even had representatives from city hall, canada immigration. We had few of the new comers speak on behalf of the rest of the new comers, and the representative from canada immigration was not only impressed but assured us as a community that this doesn't have to stop here, and that we would grow as a community and wished the new comers a success. I think you kind of assumed the amount of somali immigration in this country would sort of be comparable to that in England but it really isn't close. Who do you think should be blamed for that??? Anybody but immigration canada and its policies.
  11. You haven't said much, other than you being displeased with Joe "I wanna know". Its easy for people to choose songs, slow jamz, but what good will it do if the couple isn't feeling the songs you chose??? If you want my suggestion, you better find out the type of music they are into, favourite artists, bands, and will take it from there. Meanwhile, you might wanna look into the slow jamz of the 70s, 80s, people love those ole school jamz, and its definitely a tango atmosphere, but it might be a little bit more appropriate for the honeymoon itself...heheh(here is some examples) Tracks: 1: I Want You - Marvin Gaye 2: I Believe in You - Johnnie Taylor 3: (If Loving You is Wrong) I Don't Want to Be Right - Luther Ingram 4: Groove Me - King Floyd 5: Best Thing That EVer Happened to Me - Gladys Knight & The Pips 6: L-O-V-E (Love) - Al Green 7: I'm So Into You - Peabo Bryson 8: Our Love - Natalie Cole 9: Have You Seen Her - The Chi-lites 10: Lovin' You - Minnie Riperton PS:Get the body + Soul Cds. It's a collection of slow jamz, and I love it.

poster, if you think it was necessary, then you have answered my question. I am not being insensitive, but then again, maybe I am?(who knows...) Do you know what SUJU means to some of our Nomads, dunno, don't care... Laziegirl you must apologize before you are labeled as being racist... I must also drink a glass milk per day, but do I do it??? No, and go ahead, label me as being racist, but what would that make u??? Go figure with a nickname like the one you have. I dont believe she said what she said... Sure, I meant what I wrote.... Ilaahey ha cafiyo .. iska daaya wey qaldantay .. meynan kawadin waxey tiri... peace hahaha, who are you talking to??? "iska daaya", lol I think you are having a moment here, so Ima leave it@ that, OKAY.

Is this thread really necessary, poster??? Allah u naxariisto, its indeed a tragedy, but you realize that 150,000 people die every day. On average, 1.8 people, why these group of people, of all those 150,000 deaths???

  16. LOL@GRAB TUJIYE... Caawa waad hadashay fever, cheers to you.
  17. Dangerous, I asked you a direct question and the fact that you went around the question tells me that you think women are indeed being exploided by men in the sports field. (this argument is definitely closed) ...lets change gears and focus on Fever. Here I was wondering as I was reading your remarks why no one bothered to tell me that you FEVER/tuujiye, did your phd thesis on feminism....(you sound like a man who mastered on the subject in question...bravo, brotha) why I gotta be the last one to know these things...??? Gotta luv the way the man did his research, I mean he literally did this homework for once, NOT... Waxaan fahanay in arantan ee tahay mid culus. Please enlighten me on the matter. Waxaan garanay in gabdhaha aan la doodeyno ee yihiin gabdho yar yar oo wili jagac bagac ah oo baceesan.. Can I assume that u went ahead and did an actual survey on this?(GOOD JOB, just show me the final stats on this one, because I would love to read it with my own eyes) Waxaan garanay in gabdhaha na fahmay ee yihiin kuwa caqli leh oo yaqaana diintooda iyo dhaqankooda. This is quite a statement, wow, not only are you praising the older, more intelluctual group of women, but you have managed to slip an insult to the younger group of females as well...(BRAVO, and here I thought you were a gentleman, hahahahhaa, NOT) Waxaan garanay in ee maasha ka jirto culture klash. For once, agree with you on this , the culture klash indeed exists, but the bigger question is, when would this culture klash end??? Waxaan garanay in loo baa hanyahay dhaqan celin. Waxaad garateen waaa in loo baahan yahay dhaqan celin, but maxaad kasameysen markaad garateen arinta iney sidaas u culus tahay??? Waxaan garan in ee jirto maskax dhaqid (brain wash).. You need to narrow this a little bit, who are the individuals or a group of people that you found out were being brain washed, or have been brain-washed??? Waxaan garanay in arintaan ee u baahan tahay in laga gaaro go aan ad iyo aad iyo aad misana aad u culus... Here here Boy, you are sounding more and more like those group of "politicians" as they would like to be referred to back home, who are not only seniles, but have absolutely zero experience on the matters they so claim to have mastered in, from policitics to domestic issues, to foreign affairs, you name it. Matter of fact, these same group of men I've mentioned above, don't even know how to run their own households, and there they are discussing how they would handle somali weyn(kinda reminds me of u, ya know fever??). I think the your group of men who assisted you with your findings, tells me that you all are on the same boat, thats what I think. You probably experiencing these same problems you mentioned above in your own households, but have no way to go about, so instead you focus on somali weyn, but in your case, the younger generation of females. (very typical) Go'aanka aan ka gaarnayna wuxuu ahaa.. Gabdhahaan yar yar wiligood majoojin doonaan ilaa nin lagu daro loo aqal galiyo, markaana beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerka ugaga istaaago....... I will give you the benefit of the doubt on this one, afterall, who can blame you, you are having one of your moments again. If anyone asks, I bet you won’t have any recollection of this.
  18. waraa fever, you might not understand mombasa queen, but atleast she is funny. The RUDY character is another case altogether, this dude is living in a fantasy world. Quote by Rudy: i aint seen no homo faraaxs, but yall xaliimos calim otherwise! so what gives! is it your mind playing games on you...u know what i mean! like the motha-nature time... or is yall dizzing homies when u got a grudge!! tell the truth yall!! nop, truth hurts right!! You might not have seen a somali homosexual, but they are out there , and I wouldn't recommend you seing one either, it isn't a pretty sight. Bottom line is, these somali homosexuals/ lesbians, before they even think of coming out of the closet, they ought to consider going back home one last time, just to get a reality check, and I guarantee you, they would either not make it back or will come back married to the opposite sex, and thinking of children and raising a family, the old fashion way. I don't know if these homosexuals existed back home, I sure as hell wouldn't want to find out the real truth behind all of that either...but ...One thing I know is we wouldn't have had more of these abnormal individuals walking around public, claiming to be born "homosexual" or they knew they were "homosexuals" the minute they started to develop feelings for cumar, or ahmed in gym class...thats bullshit.(because they know cumar or ahmed would have beat the shit out of them and make them come back to reality, thats what I think) all i see heya r grunchy xalimoos dishing out weired stories about faraaxs...!namean!! Telling the truth is being grunchy now??? Dude, you need help, and you don't know what you are talking about period.
  19. Dangerous, you have heard what most of these people have to say, but I think Qu'ran would be your best solution as most of the people here agree on. My babysitter from somali, apparently suffered from demons, atleast thats what I was told by my older siblings at the time. Everything was going normal and one day she just snapped. She was living in her own world for a while, and she didn't make any sense, and my parents did the best they could for her at the time, and that was in lagu aqriyo Qu'ran. My older siblings said that one minute she would talk to herself, behave abnormal, and the next she is her old self, and the next she zonning out again. Masha allah, years of being surrounded by her family and with Qu'ran, she came through, and I am happy to say she is living a normal life now, two wonderful children, great husband, and life is normal for her once again, but when that happened to her it was 15 some odd yrs ago, but with allah's help, Qu'ran worked on her. Somalis back then though it was Jiniyo or something like that, but according to my sister's theory, one minute she is normal, goes to the washroom and fell and she was never the same again.(creepy eh??..but its true story)
  20. Lmao@@MoMbaSa QuEn, you are right about that. All jokes aside, just this past thursday, I’ve come across a somali homosexual. You gotta realize, I've lived in my small town over 10yrs, population half a million, not so small but very small compare to the metropolitan cities around us, and for few yrs, I've heard the rumors of a somali homosexual living among us, but never have I crossed paths with him until this past thursday evening. Rumor around town few yrs ago was that a somali homosexual has moved into town(the somali community around here is very small)...and mind you, I never paid attention to any of it, until I saw him with my own eyes. If you haven't seen a somali homosexual person just yet, you are better off not seeing one. This past thursday, as I was walking into the local mall, there he was with another guy and literally our-eyes locked , I mean, he literally looked like one of those kids in the commercials for unicef(skinny, about to drop on the grown), and I've seen plenty of other homosexuals on the streets walking by and minding their business, but nothing compares to this image. You see cute, adorable ones walking about, looking good, this guy was a fashion havoc walking, and he had the audacity to plug his eyebrows with his small bony face, and put on baggy jeans and tight fanaano (T-shirt). All I gotta say is, his dude gives homosexuals a bad name, and wish to god I never cross paths with him again.
  21. There goes the Feminist slogan "Women Can Do Anything" and "Girls Can Do Anything" which is pure Bullshyt, if you interpret them as statements of fact. These are facts, these aren't slogans, this individual in questions said that women are being let, and being exposed to these sports venues for the men sake. In other words, he is saying that men are exploding women. What I want to know is whether or not you, (dangerous) agree with him. They are never applied fairly to areas such as professional sports, for example. But they are not really statements of supposed fact: they are slogans -- exhortations of the kind that have been commonly used in totalitarian countries to overcome and conquer the truth, and to make somethin true that was obviously not true when the arguments started. come again???
  22. Lazy girl, meel ee DA, gacanta ka daagtay miyaa umaleena in aad wax ka badali kartid... Whomever oo gacan taago on any number of subjects, isn't really my concern, aniga lee iska hadli karo. Adiga nin yaaban aa tahay, maxaa dad kale meeshaan so galiyay, maxaana ka hadloysaa??? Ma i maqashay anoo dhahaayo waxaan badalaa, maxaase badalaa??? Adiga haddaad dood fureyso, fur oo aaan ka hadalno, haddaad dood aanan heynin, darbi xogoshada iska daa. waa cajiib, ragga wax kale maba labarin, oo nan aheyn, "ENGLISH" ayey yaqaananba, ayaga they are too "westernized", haddada wax sax ah miyaa, oo qof weyn oo supposedly qacli leh inuu kuhadlo? Waligaa maka fikirtay waxaad qoreyso, mise waxaad tahay dadka iska hadlo for the sake of just talking. Inin yahow orodoo ee isku noqo, miraayada isku fiiri, haddal maba kuu yaalo, because I've yet to see you having a discussion, or even making sense about any number of subjects, and above statement proves my theory of you, which is absolutely nothing...
  23. let women sit on the first rows of the nba courts.. The only thing letting these women sit on the front row seats are their money, $$$$$$$$. From now on, you better choose your words carefully, because no one is "LETTING" anybody do anything. If your bank account isn't letting you sit in front row seats, then there is absolutely nothing for you to say. (MONEY TALKS HERE) I will even go as far as agreeing with you in regards to dress code in live arena games. Its getting out of hand, some women do indeed dress like they are about to go to a club, even though its just a game. (I've seen this with my own eyes, but again, this is their body, their money and their clothes, and no one can comment on it, only they can) ...so that when they get happy they stand up, and they show it to u, coz they say lots of men are watching it. so where is the qiimaha womenka. You are contradicting yourself here, first you say, women are being led into the sport fields, the arenas, and here on the last part of the above quote, you qacbaro actually said that men were watching thats why these women are on the front seat, and the camera is on them. This tells me that the men aren't really there to watch the game nor are they into the sports in question and are just there to stare at these women who are enjoying the live games. No sports fan of any kind would ever turn on a game and concentrate on the attendees. You would know if you were really a true sports fan, that no matter what, the hot blond chick who is on the sidelines and is reporting the injuries and talking to the coaches on half time wouldn't be a distraction or an issue for that matter, if you were really paying attention to the game in question that is. Bottom line is, women do what women do, even though its hard for some of you men to admit that a blond chick with blue eyes and nicely shaped noise is actually a field reporter for monday night football can actually do the job as a man field reporter would, maybe even do better job than him. You never once wonder that maybe, just maybe this woman might actually be as into the game, or probably more than the average male sports fan and loves her job, and it isn't about how she looks, but has more to do with her talent for the subject in question....
  24. URGGGGG! Luvy-duvy things hit my gag-reflex...pass me the bucket please! Ewwwwww! Ugh! Aeryn sun, while u @ it, someone pass me the kleenex, "fiq - fiq - fiq", made me wanna sing that madonna song for these people. "cry for me argentinaaaaaaaaaa",
  25. Lmao@mombasa Queen, u crack me up, but gotta luv the way this girl tells her stories...Big upS
