for those advocating beating up the girl, if you believe in beating up women in dark corners, a) i feel sorry for the people around you, b) There is a fundamental problem in your believe, Your words are much of an insult to islam as the actions of the moron apes that beat on the poor girl
  3. Rumour has it that Castro has run off with a Mongolian yack herder after the fallout from a bitter love triangle gone wrong. He was last seen in the vicinity of Ulaangom - out of the reach of any worthwhile technology
  4. ^ Izzard is a genius did you watch the flag sketch or are you politely ignoring it

  7. ^Fox news is by far the best comedy of the last 2 generations, i'm not sure i can ignore it when their name is used in vain like that!
  8. ^Wallaal, in this humble corner, lets try not to talk of BFG's, TFG's KFC's or any of the sort, lets leave the partisan stuff in the polocx section. My point is the same as AAliyah416 and Lazie, but my quarrel is not with the good people living in the waqooyi, they have enough on their hands. Its with well fed, watered and medicated diaspora that see in their infinite wisdom to go along with forever smaller carve-ups of their society. Someone suggested to me that they may find solace in it, "something to be proud of, somewhere to belong", but what kind of pride is there in an imaginary fence between kin. I'm probably too naive ..
  9. so what are the requirements to join - be a member of this wonder? - I have a blood stock, do i need any more? I say this because i cant help but wonder what it takes for a generation of young people brought up in the indignity of refugeehood and on the handouts of others to find comfort in the mental wedge that separate them from their closest. this is why norf, there is a true and sad irony when you say "I hate how the flag is abused at these events". Reminds me of Eddie Izzard's (a british comedian) comment on the , if you haven't seen it before, take a look anyhow, someone please enlighten me!
  10. lool, i dont really think i could come up with an appropriate response for that vid!
  11. I got to admit, i already miss his anarchy and unique delivery - so lets make a proposal: - Haduu moorryaan iska dhigay and blabbered about qabiil nastiness - hang him high - Hadii kale, we need his anarchy and lets 'ave him back
  12. did he do the qabiil thing again?

  18. ^ true, but what we do with out the drama! [edit] please don't take it as an attack on you or a point you expressed, i noted it with you in mind because i wanted your view - nothing more - cheers
  19. norf, a side point- we should not confuse *re-writing* with *interpretation*. Islam's philosophy has been interpreted and enriched by generations of scholars. And implicit in the process of learning is understanding and interpreting. By issuing such phobic decrees, these people are playing Islam into the hands of the insecure muslims that always feel threatened by thought. If we react in such a way - or allow such reaction to dominate debate. The result is that they simultaneously (1) take away the power for muslims to think about and develop their faith (2) weaken the faith by turning it into a list of dogma without relevance (3) ultimately undermine faith by separating from the world and lives or ordinary muslims -- ultimately why debates such Khadra's and Tariq's are actually important and should *not* be demonized or belittled and camped into an *us* or *them* world. The only way to triumph in this debate is to get out of the way and allow islam to be used in the way it always has been, i.e. evolving, debating incorporate ideas - in short being dynamic. Putting up a xero around islam and sticking heads in the ground will only serve to empower such movements and undermine islam.
