    Hurdo La'aan!

    Well, for starters, go offline.
  2. I don't know how many of you are Star Wars fans (in which case a little bit of you is bound to die haha) but this is just hilarious You go George Lucas! Thanks for totally, audaciously selling out. Make sure you watch it till the end.
  3. Sometimes SOL is worse for the brain than Jerry Springer is...
  4. haha I'm pretty dumb, I was like "I'm not really the revolutionary type, or am I? Well, I do have a few revolutionary ideas, but would I ever pursue them? Or maybe it's the number, maybe I should have picked 7, I do like 7, 7 is a good number, even islamically." And then I got the same and I was like "hmm, maybe i just have to accept Che". Lol.

  6. Out-of-body experience: I just realized how boring I am.

Nothing better than helping people and making a nice little profit at it too. Just my opinion. I'd rather Muslims came up with something innovative, not blatantly copy others. Muslims used to be in the vanguard of innovation, whatever happened to that? And by the way, I don't like the idea of people trying to profit from Islam. Islam is a way of life and the path to Jannah and God, one should not try to use this to make a few £££*. There is nothing new about iamhalal, and it certainly wasn't helping me or the majority in this thread - on the contrary; in most of us it revealed the small (naughty) child in us (typing in inappropriate words). * this isn't to say that one cannot design and sell abayas for example. Doing lawful things within Islam and using Islam to make a buck are two completely different things.
  8. Ibtisam, they want to profit from Islam.

    Dubai Metro

Excellent! Waiting for the day Somalia gets it too iA! (Though I am pretty sure Al-Shabab would deem it 'the vehicle of kufrs' 'the ride of Satan'. "Men and women in the same carriage? Paint it red and put beds in there as well, it's a call for fornication!")
  10. ^^Your name looks/sounds too similar to mine. CHANGE IT!!!!!!! Ahem. Good night then.

    Mother knows best

We are watching the news; the space shuttle Discovery arrives successfully at the International Space Station, and my mother says: "waxaan waa lugu waashtaa, bismillah, daawooyin ayaa lugu aruuriyaa inteena meesha aadin". My 4-year-old cousin is listening in the armchair. I suddenly realize why there are no Somali astronauts - or why we've never been in a submarine!
  13. AfricanQ, I love Indian food as well. Are you sure you can't cook or you've never just tried? There are a lot of recipes online and also cooking books in bookstores. I'm also relatively young myself, but found that a little bit of research goes a long way. I know females are supposed to be rescued etc but we're not completely helpless, c'mon Good luck in the kitchen & remember to post photos of your delicious dishes in this thread, iA!

  15. Jacaylbaro, they'd probably say something similar to: "DUDE it's the jackpot season in ajrs, if you wanna do it, do it NOW! Here, take this AK-47! You get 50% more ajrs is you take down the kids as well. Offer is on until 20th September." EDIT: I apologize for my bad taste in Al-Shabab bashing humour. Fatboy inshaAllah everything will be fine. I hope & pray that you'll find a solution that'll please both of you. Best of luck with everything!
  16. HAHAHA Rudy you are hilarious and an 1diot! Guess you were so immersed in being a somali that you forgot to learn to read properly?
  17. Ahh, great Thanks to Sophist.
  18. Why was the thread Atheism/Lets talk about God removed? I'm a little lost here.
  19. Originally posted by Adam-Zayla: EDIT: I was going 'ew, ew, ew' at every food photo you posted and was ready to bash you until you posted this one. Now that's what I call delicious. How does one survive without baby blood this ramadan, eh

    Big Brother axed

NOOOO! My life as I know it, is over. How can I live without knowing what random 18 people are doing locked up in a house? Lets go demonstrate outside C4 headquarters.

  22. OK I'm going to start by saying that the West has really dumbed down the Muslims. FFS we don't even know the friggin' basics. We were born MUSLIMS, we were given the gift of being in the right but yet we drift away from the sea of knowledge and salvation, saying we've come to question the existence of God, without having actually done any real research into religion, or much thinking. It is no secret that the west is infamous for culture of doubt, apathy, pessimism and arrogance. Being an atheist is even (in some circles) considered 'manly' whilst a believer is 'wimpy'. My dear Lord how utterly wrong this is. But I'm not going to go into a lecture about how bad this is, but, instead, into a lecture in the logicality of believing in god for those who don't believe. What most atheist say is: we just can't know. Fair enough but we can try to understand. What atheists don't seem to grasp is that God has existed indefinitely. He has always been there. By that infinite existence all conclusions of any action can be foretold, ergo the lord is omniscient. As God is in existence, but has no specific location it is deductible that God is present in ALL LOCATION, thus He is omnipresent. Now existence itself is impossible by the law that everything with an existence must have a beginning and must have an end, and there must be action to result in a reaction or occurrence. Therefore nothing can be infinite. By this there must be a beginning to the universe which there has been evidence to show (Big Bang) also there must a creation of that universe and what created the universe must have been created, and so on ad infinitum. However if the chain continues infinitely that means that this axiomatic thinking of beginning and end contradicts itself therefore must not hold: QED. Therefore infinity is not only are possible but for existence to be true which for m to be writing this and you to be reading this it can be accepted that that is true an infinity or infinite entity must exist. An argument, but not proof, is that the universe lack entropy or randomness. It seems under most observation that the universe and its entities tend to move towards stability, which in a randomly created universe there should be no reason for. For example gravity pulls entities together reducing randomness in the spread of matter also gases when given space to separate tend to separate uniformly averaging their density out over the area the consume. Also heat does this; though by randomness an ice cream cone left in the sun could refreeze itself this doesn’t happen as the heat generally spreads itself from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration making sure as if their was an invisible hand guiding it that is move towards a stable point. That brings us towards the next scientific observation and more science mumbo jambo bore for the average reader, which is the equilibrium mechanism. This is the existence of two interchanging states wherein if one is too high it changes to the other and thus fluctuating until it reaches a stable point or equilibrium. Examples of this are: the market equilibrium with Supply and Demand; Dynamic Chemical equilibria in reversible reactions; and the Strong force-Electrostatic force equilibrium that keeps the nucleuses of the atoms that all matter is made of together. Way too beautiful and perfect to have randomly appeared out of nowhere. This thread is mainly for those who are agnostic/atheist (and I hope there aren't many of them) and I have purposefully left out religious inputs/insights. Those of you who do believe, please feel free to use these thoughts, as I believe even the non-Muslim-born disbelievers could benefit from this. Jazakallah kheir and Ramadan Kareem to everyone, your for-once-serious fellow SOLer GG
