Roobleh, it was a stunt to get Sheen to Obama. Did you watch the video? The fact that the interview never happened, or that Sheen is/was a junkie and once solicited a hooker, and whatever else he has done in his past, is doing currently or will do in the future, has no effect on the accuracy of the information presented in the mock-interview. Charlie Sheen raises excellent questions, and those questions are what one should take with them from the interview - not whether or not the interview happened.

Perhaps you have actually processed cocaine from coca leafs, and therefore know better? Originally posted by Nin-Yaaban: Once again, Coke has some chemicals added to it during it's processing, but like I have been saying it before what other food product we eat has no chemicals in 'em? You possibly aren't comparing all the hazardous chemicals in coke to food preservatives? With that same (flawed) logic, one could argue: "yeah cigarettes have some chemicals in them, but which imported apples don't?" Originally posted by Nin-Yaaban: The gov't is making it worse by banning it, and dealers adding more impurities to what lil coke they can smuggle into the country. If it was legal, we'd be getting top shelf coke, heroin, Khat, and Geedo. Watch this documentary film called Food Inc. about the food industry and you'd promise urself to never eat supermarket food. Remember, everything they say is bad for you is really not that bad. It's all LIES! Few addicts are giving the rest of the responsible users a bad name. Of course there is food that is bad for you. But even worst of food isn't nearly as bad as cigarettes or drugs, I can't understand how you can claim otherwise. And just because there are burgers out there (btw most shocking part of supermarket food deals with ethicality - the inhumane treatment of the animal, not the hazardousness of the food) it doesn't mean we should legalize drugs which are just on so completely different level.

With a tight leash, raising them brisk like the Spartans. AAARRGHH!! On a serious note, the best thing anyone could do for their offspring is not to inflict fear in them, but to teach them to love their creator Allah swt, and know and understand their religion. That is a lot more difficult, and it's completely in the hands of Allah like everything else in this world, but just like everything else, you can pray and you can do your best by trying to be the best role model for you offspring. I'm already practicing with my nieces and nephew. I like to teach them about science and history and just today my nephew asked: "How do you know everything?" after I told him what happens to the body if one does not eat (not the kiddie version but the real version). Kids are easily impressed and they actually do take in everything you tell them. You don't need to dumb them down.

It's not so much the colour as it is about the cut. These are colourful suits, but they don't look nearly as ridiculous as the pimp suit.: Though I would not recommend wearing these for Eid.

Originally posted by SCORPION_SISTA: I have seen a Somali dude wearing that PIMP outfit, actually it was purple too, can't remember if it was a wedding or Eid day. I always feel embarrassed for them. That outfit that Fabregas posted looks suspiciously similar to the one pimps wore in Norbit.

Originally posted by Nin-Yaaban: GG you do know those plants are more potent in terms of the amount of coke they have right? They aren't processed or dilluted with anything which actually makes it more dangerous and gives you more high than what u buy from the low drug dealer on the street. This is simply not true. For someone for drugs, you sure seem to be ill-informed. The coca plant has 1% of cocaine in it, sometimes even less. When they [the leaves] are NOT processed, they are SAFER because they contain so little pure cocaine or other chemicals. Let me tell you briefly how the process goes: coca leaves are gathered and then macerated with kerosene, sodium carbonate (washing soda) sulfuric acid (for example used for wastewater processing) and water. It becomes coca paste, which is then converted into cocaine hydrochloride (they snowy white powder we all know) by adding a number of chemicals, which could really be anything. Originally posted by Nin-Yaaban: The fact of the matter is, if the gov't would stop their war on drugs which hasn't worked and legalized it **would solve a host of problems** . Enlighten us.

Oh for FFS will you stop posting this type of brainless propaganda shite already! Everyone with half a brain knows muslims were framed. It seems that freelance journalist's expensive education was a complete waste, since she can't seem to think for herself. Urgh what an... I've already posted this once, but since it seems nobody cared to read it, I will link it again. Please read it, it might open your eyes a little. It's Charlie Sheen raising some really good questions. http://www.prisonpla net.com/twenty-minut es-with-the-presiden t.html SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW! Those are all facts and very difficult to refute! Don't be afraid of coming across as a whacko conspiracy theorist, those were all from official documents, and people all around the world are slowly waking up to what really happened.

Wow this thread has evolved! (no pun intended ) I know I should read what everyone wrote, but frankly, I havent got the time now. Johnny B wrote: "Your position is that lacking belief in Gods is in itself a faith, hence another Belief, and i stated firmly that it is not Faith , but a rationally justified Belief just like the belief of the sun not rising from the West, while it is the Belief in the existence of a particular God or the Belief in the sun rising from the West that is based on pure Faith, hence not rationally justified. " This argument is flawed in so many ways I don't know where to start. Quite obviously (unlike you claim), you haven't committed a lot of time (or even thinking for that matter) to studying evolution theory or its origins. My guess is you came to the West alone or at some point parted ways with your family, and living a godless life just simply suits you better. But this is just speculation. Let me get down to the real debate. First of all, lacking a belief in a god is a belief. Feel free to ask how. Or wait, give it a thought first - and then ask. The "belief" of the sun not rising from the West is based on the fact that we see the sun rising from the East every single day. It's called seeing, which doesn't require believing. Faith/belief is believing without seeing. "Though its regretablly true that you fell in the cavity of the twisted logic of 'it's the possitive claimer that is to be disproved and not the other way around' , you still maintain a wider sense of generousity towards a differing stance, which can only be met by even more generous sense of belonging together under the Humanity umbrella." A lot of fancy words to make one long sentence that doesn't make sense. If anybody showed logical fallacy, it was you with your sun-rises-from-the-w est example. "It's intellectual dishonesty to not demand the possitive claimer to account for his/her claim, as that is like letting me claim that i Jonathan Bravo am an Angel and it's your duty to prove the contrary." Well first you'd have to explain why you are an angel and then provide proof. Claiming to be something without any kind of proof, is just that; claiming. The worlds and heavens was created by God and the proof is in the surahs of the Quran. "Conclussively , the validity, proveability, disproveabilty of the evolutionary theory or any other scientific theory is and can not be used for the existence of a Deity and its creation of the universe. namely, that axtra ordinary claim needs extra ordinary evidence. That about That." Norfky asked you a pretty simple question.

Originally posted by Nin-Yaaban: quote:Originally posted by G G: quote: Originally posted by Nin-Yaaban: Ok, religion aside, anyone else? Yeah you're right, let's go to the table and snort some coke! Get your dollar bill out! Actually, coke was legal until the turn of the last century when Europeans came in and made it illegal. It wasn't even considered a drug by the natives of south America. Believe it or not, Coca cola use to have coke in it, hence the name Coke. Coca leafs are still chewed by the natives in those countries. Gives you energy. Thanks for the brief history lesson. I actually did know about coke in Coca Cola. The thing is, the coca leaf that was chewed by the Inkas isn't the stuff you buy in a shady East-London alley. Cocaine as we know it today is nothing like the coca leaf natives chew, so it's useless drawing parallels between the two. The leaf has about 1% of cocaine in it, whilst chemical cocaine could be anything; it could be mixed with a bunch of other drugs which could eventually kill you. It's a huge gamble. And if that doesn't kill you, the addiction will take you down.

I almost thought you were talking about Terrence Malick's up-coming film The Tree of Life (starring Brad Bitt). Your post is very interesting. Although I very openly and passionately hate the TV, I do like cinema a lot. The thought of Somalia having a film festival is quite nice That is definitely something I did not know. It's good to hear positive stuff from her past.

If it's really bad yeah, by dialing 999 in the corner. You don't want to even look at London kids, let alone intervene in their fights.

Just like hands, the brain and the whole body is our tool - and they're the best tools known to man! Use them to your advantage/to get the work done, don't sabotage them.

Ibtisam, lol yes. A fried of mine said: "I want to start a business". And this is an undergrad right. "And I want you to help me find someone to start it with". Since I'm skint. So of course I'm thinking, this girl being bright and a couple of years older than me, that she's going to start a killer business. So I ask around within my (+extended) family if anybody's interested, I succeed, and to my shock and horror find out that they're planning to open an internet cafe. It's like, what is wrong with us? We're too scared of risks and we wait around and see if anyone else will do it first, and THEN we do it. In flocks.

Originally posted by Fabregas: of course LOL!!! Chubacka, *puts the turkey in the refrigerator* Of course Eid turkey would be completely out of the line. Eid clothes is a tradition, granted, but Eid isn't just about clothes, flirting and dancing. Actually it shouldn't be about those things at all. Eid is a day of islamic celebration and you dress accordingly, without going over the top. We should be encouraging and promoting modesty, not credit cards and shopping. There are many who can't afford to buy fancy clothes or eat at fancy places, and with this kind of shopping-obsessed behaviour we're putting a lot of pressure on them. I don't want Muslims to end up being like Christians who take loans to buy gifts, clothes and decorations for Xmas. We're definitely heading that direction; there are already some who take loans from xawaalad to buy fancy clothes for the kids. What I'm just saying is, lets just be modest, shall we?

Regular Indians good looking? Hardly. To the OP: Because Somali men have found out that opposites do not attract? On a more serious note: what facts/statistics/sou rces is your post even based on? I was always under the impression that Indians despise black people.

Us too, hmm? We need to jump on the spending craze bandwagon Xmas is famous for? Go shop for I'D* and party the night away in a ruwaayad and lets forget what it's all about, shall we? * I'D is a trademark of G G.

Yeah I didn't read the article, it was too long and my eyes hurt already. But what find interesting is that Somali imitation extends to commercials as well. I am pretty sure it was Dahabshiil who first came up with the CG dollar bill, just to be quickly copied by Amal and now then that other money transfer company with the wings!! I don't work for Dahabshiil, but like, do your own thing you copy cats!

St0pid people will believe anything they see on TV. Because Television is the Beacon of Light & Truth. We Somali Muslims are a little smarter than that, right? Right? Well apparently no, it seems we're just as dumb as those beating Muslim clerks in the street. Quite a few Somali guys have left for Somalia in the past few years to fight in the civil war - by the side of some dodgy militants with unknown agendas & funding (very possibly linked to Al-Qaeda). Not to mention how many Somali (men) admire Osama Bin Laden for being a courageous, enlightened Muslim. 'Cuz he dook dem buildings down, right? Right!? BTW, read this fake interview with President Obama by Charlie Sheen, it's funny (thought not laugh out loud funny - but what else do you expect from Charlie Sheen) and it raises some very darn disturbing issues. Like that 60% of 9/11 Investigation Commettee thought the government pretty much lied about 9/11. http://www.prisonpla net.com/twenty-minut es-with-the-presiden t.html

This list made me remember how spoilt people are in Western countries. If spam email and "the recession" (whatever that means) are the only things you worry about, you should pray 2 raka'a right now, and thank God. People are actually dying of hunger, you know? Or losing their homes, childhood and relatives in wars.

Kool Kat, for some really retarded reason I always fall asleep listening to muxaadaro. There is also one lecturer who makes me struggle to stay awake. There is nothing interesting this person could ever say; even if he was told the secrets of this world, he would make it sound more tedious than burning wood. It's his voice.

Seriously, you're not going to fall asleep on your keyboard, buddy. Drink some milk and roll around in your bed, like the rest of us do.
