  1. Now they just have to create content that'd make it truly worthwhile.
  2. To the Original Poster: Out of those two options I'd say Rio. Year 2025. Coffee break. Co-worker: "So what's your plans for the weekend?" Five: "I'm going to space on Saturday, for a little relaxation. Need to get out of the planet for a few hours, you know". Co-worker: "Yeah, yeah. I totally get it. I'm just waiting for those commercial flights to the Moon." Five: "Man, that's, that's going to be great. That'd be great for spring holidays, I tell you." Co-worker:"Yeah, I know. A couple of weeks in the space, out of this pollution, these people. Just... Just you, and, like, nature." Five: "Totally. Outer nature. That's the real nature right there." Co-worker: "You become one with all that vast... emptiness.." Five: "That's deep, that's deep."
  3. Cara, who in their right minds would stereotype a whole nation that way in the title? This is THE TIMES we're talking about, not the Daily Mail, or worse, the Sun. "Wretched, jobless, invisible: are Britain's Somalis the enemy within?" How the french connection UK can you not get insulted by that? That is b1tch1ng.
  4. This is so cool. Though TV still sucks.
  5. He probably wanted to join the BNP and wrote that piece of.. as part of the initiation rite.
  6. Johnny B, am I interested? This has been about as exciting as a Lion bar. There's plenty of information available. Get a new experience, go to a library. Eller hur? I am done.

    AVATAR

The story is predictable and hence disappointing; characters one-dimensional and the dialogue cringe-worthy. However having said that, my knees were actually a bit wobbly afterwards - and not just because of the amount of money spent on the flick! It's quite an experience. And yes, even though the story isn't original, the world Cameron creates is ever-so original. It's just really beautiful and the SFX are amazing. And for that I give it 3 and a half stars.
  9. I'm not even going to bother with you.

I bought Nike trainers with a lie in my head. The lie went: "You'll wake up at 6AM every morning and do a bit of jogging, then when you're used to that, you'll finally join the gym". A couple of months later, ta-daa!, the sneakers lie untouched. I was inspired by Chocolate & Honey's thread 'New Year Resolutions', so I will make it a New Year resolution to start going to the gym. I want Cheryl Cole's abs

    AVATAR

2012 was nowhere near as good as Star Trek or D-9. You should watch some sci-fi films before writing them off. Avatar will top those film, and not only because it introduces new 3-D technology. It will appeal to people who don't like sci-fi, because it's essentially a love story.

    AVATAR

Norfsky, now is not the time to be different. Besides, if you don't like kick-*** sci-fi films then what do you like? Heartbreaking rom-coms? I bet you hated Star Trek (2009) & District-9.

Former drunkards and drug-addicts who hit themselves in the head with a cauldron to get a "rug mark", who bully people around, and who grow impressive beards to seem pious. Just like Shabaab is composed of young men who used to be child soldiers who killed, looted and raped everything they came across. What a useless post.
  14. A lot of people are missing the point with "natural" look. Showering and taking care of hygiene is natural; we're not animals. We're also Muslims which means our clothes should be clean and pleasant at all times. God loves beauty. Beauty lies in simplicity. You won't find beauty in excess make up and hair dressing. BTW plucking eye brows is haram. Most of the time it's not what they wear, it's how they wear it. There is inexplicable laziness about some Somali women's way of carrying themselves. Forget about the weird clothes, even those with decent taste seem slumpy and insecure - except when they're at a wedding.

    AVATAR

You lot are so boring. Urban, 2012 had really cool special effects but it was lacking in many other aspects. I saw the 16 min Avatar preview in August and it was the most amazing film experience. Like ever. And it was just 16 minutes. Can't wait to see it tomorrow, iA! BTW Chocolate & Honey, all the reviews for Avatar have been very positive. It has surprised a lot of sceptics who predicted doom & gloom before even a trailer was out. But that's how Jim Cameron rolls. A lot of people doomed Titanic months before it came out, yet it went on to become the most successful film ever. Avatar does have a plot, and a pretty good one, mind you. You have to keep in mind it is by the same guy who brought us Terminator and Aliens. He knows how to tell a good story with great technology.
  16. You disgust me, getoutofhere you poet you. Seriously though, that's really good mA. Why are you posting on these sad deserted corners of SOL? Find a more worthy medium, mate.

I had a dream about a SOL thread reply last night. My life is full of excitement.

    In this land

I liked it. It'd be much better if you got the structure right. Now it sounds more like a speech than a poem. But again, I liked it. Good stuff.
  23. I DON'T HAVE A JOB! That's my problem. And it's a serious one too. If anyone is in hiring position at a cool job somewhere central, please contact me. I want a job where I can look cool and have long lunches with lots of other cool people and get away with doing as little as possible, whilst being paid a lot. Thanks.
  24. I knew it! But you know what, if you're obese you're more likely to have jaded taste buds. And always remember the words of the ever so wise Kate Moss: "No food tastes as good as skinny feels". I AM JOKING! Please never take me seriously unless you see me typing in my red wool hat. That is an indication of seriousness.
