    OSCARS 2010

Funny thing people should complain about the Avatar script. I was bored one day so read it on IMSDB and it was compelling, quite good. I'd go as far as saying I preferred the original script to what we saw on the screen. Cameron ruined his chances when he publicly asked the Academy to give the best director gong to Bigelow because "he already had two". That's like, beyond arrogant, and probably the best way to make everybody hate you. But yeah, I think deep down inside, everyone knows Cameron did a magnificent job at directing the beast that is Avatar and should have won an Oscar for it. Who watches the Academy Awards these days anyway?

Your quite aggressive, and i saw your request the first time, i thought me ignoring it would have been a good enough sign, but i guess not. I'm not here to socialise, nor do i feel like sharing private info. LOL I wasn't being aggressive!! Sarcastic! If you are not here to socialise, then talking about your book ventures in a thread isn't a good idea, because some people are bound to find it interesting and want to contact you. Again, not being aggressive. But friendly and encouraging, because you see I myself have published. That is something I might have wanted to tell you. Instead now I have to share it with everyone. But what the hell No offence meant. None taken. Now take a chill pill, OK?

They are most likely to beat you with the tusbax and marry a fourth wife Istaqfirullaah.

    sick of down under

Strange. I've been thinking about Australia the past whole week. I'd love to visit. Heck, I'd even love to move there in the future. Sick and tired of United Kingdom, to be honest. Wow I just checked flight times from Australia to Singapore, Tokyo and LA and, yeah, I think I'm happy where I am Seriously, talk about isolated. I always thought the rest of Asia was just a few hours away.

Ma niece waz studyin' Fo' her mock GCSEs and I came across Half-Caste Ma niece waz studyin' For her ENGLISH GCSE and I came across Half-Caste and it ain't even in English. And I actually thought to myself, what if you refused to write about that poem, on the grounds that it is not English and you do not understand the poem, because it isn't written in the English language. So of course I encouraged her to do that. And she failed. Every kid should study with me.

Never seen such a white film in my entire life! I just couldn't connect with that film at all, on any level. Hated the girl, hated the Dad, the forced humour. The Jewish guy was ugly (I'm sure Carey Mulligan thought the same ), there was no real chemistry between the leads. The only thing I liked about the film was the ending. She got what she deserved! Seriously speaking, about 2 years ago, I read a story in Vogue about a middle class girl who fell in love with an upper class twat who was much older than her & broke her heart. That piece in Vogue was much more interesting. I can't understand how "An Education" could be up for Best Film @ the Oscars. Sony must have lobbied this film like there is no effin' tomorrow.
  11. My dear Choco, Of course he's not going to say "I can't be your friend, you're black". That's just racist, dear! He is short and south Asian and with all due respect to south Asians, not at attractive at all in my eyes. I am black and African. Probably enough said for him We were brought together by shared religion and shared anti-Zionism and pro-Amnesty at that time. We are close as in I tell him stuff and vice versa. We don't talk on the phone a lot, that's just gay We text and Facebook and Nando's and occasionally catch a(n action) film. Sometimes with his girlfriend, other times not. He feels like my brother, and that's why I call him a close friend.
  12. Yeah back in the days a certain B class Hollywood producer wanted to get the audience of his newest horror film insured against heart attacks and death. It's all marketing, my friend. Darn good marketing too.

  14. Raamsade, from an ATHEIST point of view: what is the difference between female & male circumcision? Think about that and Ms Ali's obsession with female circumcision (wouldn't wanna upset those Jewish employers and get banished from the US too) "Intellectual" ** ***. The Quran does not call for the death of apostates. Quite the contrary, and whenever a hadith is in direct conflict with the Quran, hadith loses. It is as simple as that. What comes to Ayan though, she is not simply an apostate who simply does not believe in Allah (swt) and His last messenger (sas). She is in war with Islam. She is engaging in hostile actions against Islam and Muslims and knowingly passing off lies, accusations / engaging in propaganda against Islam. That's not an apostate, that's an enemy. Did you get that? And for someone like her, if there was an Islamic country and if she was in one and if she still was able to project and broadcast that scale of islam-bashing and propaganda in that said Islamic country (which lets be honest, is frankly impossible), could be punished anything from EXILE to death. But discussing death penalty for Ayan Hirsi Ali who did all this in a non-Islamic country with the help of the Western media, is not only impossible and completely irrelevant to the subject of apostasy in Islam, it is something only foes of Islam engage in, in order to project and satisfy more of their blind hatred of Islam. Which actually leads me to you. I think what you are doing in these forums is not "engaging in debates" anymore. I think you are abusing your membership to actively engage in propaganda against Islam. Johnny B is an apostate and the kind of apostate this board should have (if any), in my honest opinion. Sure, he may not believe in Islam, but who cares? At least he is respectful and pleasant. This world does not need any more enemies of Islam under the pretense of "intellectualism". People who are just really the offsprings of the influence of Christianity and who are subconsciously crusading. Because that's what you're doing: you are on a personal crusade. You are a foe. And I've personally had it with your lies, sheer ignorance and continuing hostility against Muslims. The admin should wise up regarding you.
  15. ^ Chocolate & Honey and Ibti, you are both wrong. One of my closest friends is a Bengali guy. He is not attracted to Black people at all, and I'm not attracted to South Asians. It's the perfect male/female friendship. We've been friends for 3 years now, and he has been dating a Bengali girl for the past 2 years. I actually always bring him up as the perfect example (and he does the same) to the argument that yes, guys and girls can be just friends. Then there are the sexually confused male friends - you know, the type that call themselves straight but you're never really sure. Of course guys and girls can be friends.
  16. Hahah Malika! I think people just don't want to come forward with their marital problems. Keeping up appearances, you know? Of course there manage to be very few couples who live relatively happy lives... But they are the exception to the rule

Though (500) Days of Summer is faaaar from being an action film, I kinda look forward to what this guy will do with it.

It's ART! Duh! You are seriously failing to grasp the depth of that particular delicate poem. It strikes a chord with the intellectual art-appreciating elite.
  20. Just because some became NY Times best sellers for their fame as opposed to their intellects, it doesn't necessarily follow that all them were best sellers for fame. My contention is Ayan Hirsi is NY Times best seller because she has something substantive to share. Well that is certainly not how you put it. What "substantive" something does she have to share, exactly? You just went on to say she did this and that and that as if those things alone made her "intellectual", and I proved you that just because someone is a New York Times best seller or was named 100 most influential people by "Time" magazine doesn't necessarily mean they are "intellectual". Difficulty to grasp this? Why should she? No other religion calls for her murder as an apostate. Only Islam does. Nope. The holy Quran very clearly says: "Let there be no compulsion in religion" (2:256) You are just as ill-informed as she is. And you're both atheists. Is it any wonder. There is nothing hypocritical about an immigrant opposing immigration. An immigrant who entered the country with lies? And who subsequently was banished from the very same country because of her lying? "Secondly, she did tell a little white lie about her full name Just full name? What do you even know about her? You are just defending her as an excuse to attack islam on these boards. You never take part in any discussion unless it gives you a reason to bad-mouth islam. And I won't mince words, your animosity towards her has absolutely NOTHING to do with her "lies" but the fact that she's an apostate and formidable critic of Islamic terrorism, fanaticism and absolutism. Oh yeah, like you know what goes on in my head.
  21. I hate EastEnders but I watched that episode because it aired live. Was just curious to see if they'd french connection uk it up. Mainly did it with sound (Rihanna playing at an emotional scene when that lady was laying on the bed and her sister came in, and continued all the way to the outside scenes with the cops), and also the subtitles and what the actors were saying were not in sync most of the time. Little things like that. But I really enjoyed it. Will I watch it again? Absolutely not
