Oh em gee, is that Masjid for real? Wow! If that photo is not photoshopped then that is one of the most gorgeous masjids (if not the most gorgeous) I have ever seen.

So Marx menstruates. Anything we didn't know?

Anyway, I find it very hard to picture a Hermes fan trekking to the North Pole without a helicopter and a personal assistant.

What's up with the "Amin Amir for President" fan pages on FB?

Originally posted by NGONGE: When he doesn't come to work, at least he'll provide great excuses. "You see boss, it's like this. I found a bus pass, yeah, I picked it up to give in to the police later in the day. I was running late I jumped on the train. The inspectors caught me and I spent four hours explaining myself. I couldn't make it to work". "My rent boss. I couldn't pay it and that's why I couldn't make it to work. Actually, it was a council error. I paid it but they put it on the wrong account and now they are trying to evict me. I spent the day in the council offices". Sounds believable.

Originally posted by Blessed.*: A museum is primarily concerned with vintage art and artefacts but most run temporary exhibitions of contemporary / traditional art. Then you have art galleries and exhibitions in other places. Though I think Arabs primary concern themselves with Arab artists and ME art- you do get the odd Islamic art exhibition. The difference between an art gallery and an art museum is that the former is own by an individual(s) (and thus dictated by individual's taste and the depth of their pocket) whilst a museum is usually government-run and includes more generally appreciated/known pieces. It was amazing to see and exhibition about my people (British Muslims) in such a far away land. He's brilliant mA. I like sculptures. Do you know Wajih Nahle? He's a Lebanese artist, I love his sculptures and decorative art. www.wajihnahle.com We have been blessed with aesthetic sense, an appreciation of beauty. We should use it. I know Somalis don't care about art much, but I think that's due to ignorance; all beauty is divinely inspired and at its best is a celebration of life and worship of God. * I wrote a long & fancy reply but the internet connection left and I really can't be bothered to do it again

First you got caught with the freedom pass. Then you lost your friends. Then you were complaining about having no money. And now this. Right.

Why is islamic art always looking at the past? Sure it was great, but I'm sure there are a lot of wonderful artists who are inspired by the Quran in the present world. I think it's really weird to have a museum for "islamic art" if you don't include anything from the modern world.

C&H do you know what's worse? Someone telling you they don't like what you're wearing, and then seeing them wearing the exact same thing a week or so later. I'm a self-confessed bag-aholic like every self-respecting female, and my bags are what friends like to borrow from me (and even so, very rarely). I'm usually not too fussy about lending to anyone, as long as I know they are respectful towards bags. I just find it disgusting some things people subject their bags; for example putting them on the floor inside a public toilet cubicle. I think the whole borrowing clothes/ accessories thing is a bit teenager to me anyway. Isn't it part of teenage to gossip, experiment with make-up and bond with a girl by sharing clothes? Thus I put "sharing clothes" in the same category as "carrying fake designer bags". Things you only do young and broke.

ouch! knuckle fight! well, I reckoned since you're always screaming catfight...

"This videos were for private consumption the way it appears to me but the channel owner must have obtained the content of the videos without the consent of the people in the videos." and that makes him awesome, right?

Grasshopper, I agree with you. I'm a little more paranoid than you though, in a sense that I am convinced Metro is on a mission to make people believe in aliens and ghosts. iPhone ads aimed at poor people?

I'm starting to dislike SOL. I find myself in pointless discussions more often than I'd like to. What started as a joke, turned into this. I think I'm just going to write in my signature: "For the love of God, don't take me seriously on these boards". Would save a lot of time.

That means they are ugly or are socially retarded or even very dumb. Why are they rating themselves below this score. Because we know they are not that bad. I am sure 2+2=5 is very beautiful, but her personality doesn't strike the same cord lol. JB on the other hand is not the most beautiful of creatures. I hear Nuune is a good catch. Maybe because we don't take ourselves too seriously, hmm? Also, JB is pretty good looking. And so is Nuune. In fact I would go as far as saying the three of us are like probably the best looking people here. Like if you were to have a beauty pageant here on SOL, I'm pretty sure we'd be the winners. JB would go home with the crown, I'd be 1st runner up and after some stiff competition, Nuune would come in as 2nd runner up. What nonesense! I have seen how you look and trust me you are hardly pleasing to the eye. lol. You'd love to hang out with me, wouldn't you There'd have to be a Eliza Doolittle like transformation. As it is, you're waaay too reer baadiyo. But there's hope! So don't despair P.S. you are right, I am very unpleasing to the eye.

If there was no wrong use of sex, there would be no reason for sex clinics. Many creative people are inspired by their children, mainly writers and painters. Children are a blessing, a beautiful gift who keep you company, who teach you a lot about yourself and the world and are fun to be around. People cheat for various reasons, boredom is rarely the case. It is still a fact though, that majority of people are faithful to their spouses. So don't try to make it sound like every married person cheats on their spouse.

This reminded me of last week's Desperate Housewives episode with the flying couple. The nagging wife says something like:" isn't it wonderful to spend time with the woman you love?" and the husband replies: " I don't know, I didn't bring her here"

Originally posted by Napoleon: ... have some miserable children who will drain every ounce of creativity you've had, Actually it's excessive and wrong use of sex that kill creativity. So if one was to take your advice, they'd have no creavity or very little by the time they had children. The fact that you compare opening one's legs to living a full life and taking chances, says it all really. You are spiritually empty. But knock yourself out having sex, lets see if that'll make you happy.

Originally posted by Karl_Polanyi: Have you ever wondered why most poor folks do not read novels? [They]... do not bother with advertising to them. Instead, they attack them with advevertising for junk food, ipods, iphone, blackberry, pop idol and football matches. I didn't get your point. Is reading novels good or bad? Also, I think you're making a gross generalization. Plenty of poor people do read novels. That's why there are libraries. I do agree with you though that people are increasingly encouraged to "pass time" in the most ridiculous ways. Thinking is underrated, silence is awkward and unwanted (and sometimes closely related to boredom). And that's why you are expected to fill the silence with music (=noise). The other day I was thinking how where God is, there is probably no sound as we know it. I don't know how haram this type of thinking is/was, but all sound comes from objects in this world for example hitting your key board, laughing, flipping a page etc. All these things exist only here, so elsewhere there must be pure silence. But not the silence we know, I'd assume. I love novels but what I really can't stand are the free newspapers they hand out each morning and afternoon. You listen to music so you won't hear the real world and the people around you, and you read trash which you won't be able to remember the following day, just to kill time. Time, which is precious. P.S. Walking won't tone your muscles. And marrying another human being with their hopes and dreams and expectations of you, is not a holiday. In fact, with that kind of naive and selfish thinking, it isn't recommended to take a second wife at all - because obviously you would be incapable of treating them equally. And FYI mohicans are pretty cool. Impossible with Somali hair, but still no reason to hate on 'em!

Quite the misogynist, isn't he? I can't decide who I find more disgusting: the uploader or the people in the uploaded videos.
