^Lol..even with a car,it was too depressing to go out.I slept most the day [saturday],catching up with all sort of soapy movies..

What's there not to hate,if the man that is responsible to keep the family intact walks away, leaving your mother to fend,protect,educate 9 children in a world were she is isolated.This isnt Africa were children were raised by a village, you had aunties,uncles, neighbours and the whole community chipping in raising you.Here the poor mother has to make sure the children go to school,duugsi etc..On top of that she has to make sure there is food on the table,bills are paid,clothes are bought..If she can speak English at least she doesnt have to rely on you to take her to the GP when things get a tad bit too much for her,when you see her sink in depression because she [your mother] has lost all hope,she cant see the future,when you see you brothers start hanging around with the wrong kind of people.You are helpless,you need help with your coursework,life at school is too much as you dont dress like everybody else,your clothes are either hand me downs or from primark..you come home to messages from your younger sisters/brothers school teachers complaining they have been stealing other kids lunch...only because they too want to have that fancy new lunch box filled with all sort of goodies..they are fed up of eating tuna and basta from Netto. So why should she still love that man? father or no father, he doesnt deserve love when his decision to walk away has turned his whole generations lives into chaos...

^I agree I do not have the authority to take someone out of the folds of Islam[God forbid,I ever contemplate such an action]but in this scenerio CL brought to the table,its the brothers themselves that declared they no longer practice Islam..Ibti,subhanallah by just saying the Shahada one is a Muslim,dont you think by uttering the denial of Islam isnt enough to take someone out of the folds of Islam? I got to go,but Inshaallah do share your findings...

Ibti honey, one can not declare not to be practicing and yet be a Muslim.The whole essence of being a Muslim is to follow the guidance of the holy Quran.Islam has two guidances one it teaching us about what do and the other is teaching us about how to avoid those things we are not to do..[i hope am being clear here]..So if one claims they do not practice Islam then they cant be fully Muslims because they are denying the a whole essense of being a Muslim.. In the matter of what people do,but yet are muslims indeed am so aware of their hypocracy, by God I too do have my moments of hypocracy..

Brother Stoic,being a Muslim means one who has submitted to the will of Allah and follows his words[accepts Islam].That means following the teaching of the quran and the sunnah of the prophets full stop,there are nor if or buts here.. There is no excuses,if one utters the words he or she no longer practices Islam they mean they do not believe in Allah... Your right,the world isnt all white and black and all Somalis arent perfect followers of the deen..but doesnt mean we shouldnt be shocked if one crosses the line!
