  1. Yeah right@ Ngonge, for me to leave the comfort of my home, travel for at least an hour or so to convert garden with a flask of tea! would require at least £500 for the donation hadii kale, move over with your cheap offer.
  2. ^ ,what a rant my dear Ibti.I understand your frustration sister, but we should be able to distiguish between the good and the bad really. I for one, do see this man as the good guy, and I appreciate the HUGE challenges that he has encountered and continue encountering. We cant be that naive to assume it is going to be so easy and straight forward in unifying the very much fragmented Somalis/Somalia.Neither should it be a one man show,it will have to be a collective ambition hence my annoyance with those whom critisies with little substance toward anything real. He was able to bring peace in Mogadishu once before, why cant we trust him to do so yet again? I oppose to the continue war,and his way of negotiation/reconciliation even with the devils themselves is very much admired and I pray he sucessed.

What chance has this good man have with the likes of you and many other cynicals in the comfort of their comfortable lives? Words of an over privilaged, I say!
  4. This istunka is very similar to the Ethiopia's Surma tribe, the Donga Stick Fight.[Any one watched the programe called Last Man Standing on BBC Three?]. Madness bee aniguu ilaa tahay!..Lol BUT it really would be a good way of easing frustration, wacking people around..ah!
  5. What a boring day! It's dark already outside and its only 2pm..how miserable looking day. Where are the trollers? CL, tum kya he?
  6. ^Lol@ rice and milk. Dont use any dairy products, eat dry food, and drink pleanty of water or coke[am told it works]..It sounds like you have caught a stomach bug, in this case just go with the flow.Your body is ridding it self of the virus.By Dr Malika.

  8. ^He is probably even younger then you,Jac..He just have a masha'allah maturity.
  9. "to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of the world" ^That reminded me of the old Somali men,at their gathering after salaat Asr' around the tiny little radio listening to BBC, outside on my grandmother's front porch.
  10. A word of advice, when ovulating do not go anywhere near horses..What a sight! The poor stallions get all excited. Sheh. That must be the perks of living in a big city.Try living in small towns, wax kuu egeyaa baa iska yaar. ,strike that,I got a nice warm salaam from a cadaan brother. It was pleasantly suprising too.
  11. Is it weird to stalk some one of the same sex AND I MUST ADD had nothing to do with what you might BE THINKING. I have been stalking this woman,I met at the masjiid over the ramadan. She just ouzes elegance, sophistication and I want her for a friend,I need new friends..lol Will it be weird If I just happen to bump into her next time,to invite her for coffee?
  12. Ngonge, why are you winking at me? Maxaad oogtahay?..eh eh?
  13. ^Loooool.Astagfirullah, waar iga tag! LOL@are you high yet?.. but really, their teeth/mouth is a turn off. Nevertheless, the chewers tend to be in such a good mood, promising the moon and stars if you ask them.

  15. Originally posted by Nur: So, where should we start? do we make an effort in changing the mindset of the Somalis so they can demand a better leadership, or should we help remove the "rulers" aka warlords to change the people? Nur A good question! I personally would say there aught to be a change in the mindset of the Somalis, “our Leaders” are products our own confused society. I see so called leaders confusing their ambitions with their visions; if they actually had a vision would have been something huh! What is it that we are aspiring to now? An Islamic state, a clan based system with a twist of Islam or the democractic process of leading with a twist of clan affiliation..Anagii baa wareer saan..Ya Allah!
  16. What a thread tittle "Dont forget our brother LOZ"..bisinka! waar waad nagaa nixiise.. Happy B'day LOZ! Ps.Should there just be one birthday wishes thread?

  18. ^Aaah *sign*..One needs healing here. . Indeed Ibti, scary thoughts there. Morning dear! I spent Saturday and Sunday partying, my throat is killing me here from singing..[and it wasnt a kariokee party either, just was doing that rather annoying thing somali women do , sing on top of their voices at parties]
  19. ^I agree, sometimes some parents take it too far.I am against physical violence,be it a light slap or a proper belt whooping session. It hasnt done my daughter any harm from 'not' being slapped, whooped or beaten up. The whooping, beating I used to receive for petty little things were just unfair. I believe smacking comes when a parent have lost control of his/her emotions. How can you smack a child for accidentally spilling a drink or when a child draws on walls?[my fav memory of my daughter's creativity..lol].
  20. ^Waryaahe, hagee infomationkan kaa heshaa? Scorpion-Sista, May the years continue to be good to you. Happy Birthday!
  21. Do women have 'committment issues'?
  22. Originally posted by Valenteenah: Look at the bright side of revenge sex, if it is true, it beats the usual revenge of being lured to the friend's house and then baptised with boiling water. At least no one receives 90% third degree burns or dies this way. I remember this happened to a woman I know, well they didnt pour hot water, but they sure did beat the hell out of her. A so called friend betrayed her,by associating and agreeing to use her house as the bait. She was invited, thinking she is going to a 'friends' house only to be jumped by the other woman and her friends onces she entered the house. The case went to court, but was later settled the Somali way.
  23. ^LOL@amin's joke! They throw parties too, waaw. weey kibreen hee..Lol Actually they are a nuisance.
  24. I got rollers on[do people still use those], got a friends farewell party to go later, she is finally moving back home. Which means am so envious of her. Tommorrow, got a wedding to go to, but am yet to decided. These Somali weddings cost an arm and a leg..I saw a beautiful green dirac at the local SOmali shop, will match so well with my not yet worn green sandals..ah,darn this credit cruch, just received a notice on electricity and gas going up this month..argh. after my life story..Aaw..so your going to be the best girl huh?
