  1. More like BURN the mothafcking Vuvuzelas. This ****** ugly looking thing is probably the single Most ANNOYING thing ever to be invented. I am debating weather to put the thing on mute and playing a pre recorded sounds from other world cups(you know the familiar chants COMMON TO EVERY SOCCER GAME!). Urgh!
  2. Dabeecada inga wada xun malaha kuligiin?? Dont you people have people who find you the least bit interesting? Even boring people like you surely must have other boring people who probably think you people are fun. Ha Ha... Taasi waa iga kaftan.. In my Opinion, there is no such thing as being Alone in an urban area(your case study here)... Sitting at a coffee shop or having dinner @a public place is not being ALONE. True "Loneliness"(CH i know you said it is different, but i will use it anyway) means being solo at a deserted island far far far somewhere in one of the world's oceans. You would go bananas had you been alone for a day. Think of Tom Hanks....

  5. ^Foqol Somali iga dheh. Abti, We in America need $$ to make things work. Throw in some investment cash here and before you know, some IT geek like XIIN will be all over it. Let me do some analysis on the likely profits one could make out of these.
  6. Friday,Smuchday, monday, all days are the same for me these days. I dont even realize the difference. 7days a week working!!

Research shows that structured academic programmes are very effective. C&H I think you're talking about this software programme: http://eurotalk.com/us/resources/learn/somali. I've seen it in a few of the malls here. There's free online trial if you follow the link. LOL. L0L!@Asaga liito. Heedhe, waa runtaa, waan liita, waxaana ii sababtay, markaan caruur ahayn, ingiris iyo sawaxili baa guriga loga hadli jiray. Lakinse, one thing needs to be clarified, yeh. One approach is not the solution,All decks on hand approach is of course the best option. Gurigana loga hadlo, broogramna carurta loo jeediyo. The practicallity of the situation is,kids these days are over worked. Homeworks, after school programs and dugsi make their schedule hectic. if i know kids,They will hate it. Let the kids have fun, shall they? Btw,i am not talking about cunug 10jir and above. The af somali learning process should start reaally early. Way early.
  8. Originally posted by Ashkiro: Salaam, I am wondering in your communities (those of you in the West) are there any programs put in place teaching Somali kids, how to read and write in Somali? Almost every Somali child I come across has no grasp of Somali and this is truly troubling to me, I am thinking of starting a program in my community and looking for feedback. This may sound like a cliche, but charity does really begin @home. I think if the household speaks Somali all the time, the Kids will learn. The other day, i visited a friend who has 3 boys. Aged 5,11 and 13. They ALL speak fluent Somali. When i asked the father how he does it, he simply said. "Waxan Af Somali ahayn, guriga loga ma hadlo". Kids learn by watching and listening. I think we are better off educating the parents. The kids will learn from them,eventually/

  16. They wont be any dark horses. The Usual suspects will win. Brazil, iska dheh.
  17. The other goal was offside too. L0L. L0L@fuud...L0L. niyow caadi matihid. But here is the Conclusion: Chelsea are the better team...I am just saying I dont think Liverpool wanted Man U to win.[for obvious reasons]
  18. Somaliland to be the first nation to experience the fastest broadband in Africa This statement is flawed. First,Somaliland is not a Nation *Yet*, 2ndly, What good is a fast broadband when only .01% of the population has access to the internet? The priorities are flawed.....
  19. ^L0L. Quuqda dhaaf cuzin. I dont care for Chelsea & Man U & I hate Arsenal Fans(the club is good, the fans are too corky). They think that Arsenal is the best team in the world..whilst their records speaks for itself...thats another story for another day. The point is, Liverpool gave away that game to Chelsea, even my 11 year of Nephew knew that back pass was for Drogba and not the Goalie. Having said that,Chelsea deserved to win this season, they indeed were the better team.
