  1. You guys dissing these stories are sad...But the story comes out flat because it is better told in person. Especially with the reer woqoyi accent. I love listening to my friends who have numerous stories when they come back. L0L. Like the "biciid" story. Apparently, the diasporans are called biciids and if he/she has been there a while, he/she becomes a biciid geesaha ka dheceen, meaning he spent most of his/her money therefore no much shaxaad. waar biciidku ma geesa dhacay, they would ask...Reer woqooyigu waa funny. But anyway, us sujuis have had our own "stories" for years. . Like the kid who was asked, what sub clan he blongs to" . He posed for a minute struggling to name his sub clan (all the while umming , erring and eehing, while pointing to the sand)....Giving up he turns to his friend and asks in Swahili, "Oyeeh, niambie, wale wana ingianga mchanga waitwa nani"? L0L. ( Yo!,Tell me, who are those that go into the sand?>?")
  2. Thankful;752486 wrote: If you want to talk logic then fine - let's forget about Al Shabaab. Is it fair to say that Somalis crossed from Somalia into Kenya and kidnapped people? If so, that is an act of war! A country is completely justified in neutralizing the threat against their nation. If the TFG is too weak to do it and no other force can prevent people from crossing into Kenya, then Kenya has the right to take matters into their own hands. They dont need to give warnings or ask for permission either. I wont even waste time to reply to you

  4. Mohammed;752482 wrote: Good point? He didn't make any point. He just made a useless statement. He's one of those dumb paranoid nationalist Somalis who are concerned about sovereignty over the destroying Al-Shabaab. If the Kenyan army can make Al-Shabaab weaker, that would be fantastic news for Somalia. L0L@Dumb. If,condeming Kenya's invasion is dumb then,I will rather be dumb. If standing up for what is right is dumb, yes then i will be dumb. If You believe that you should let another man fight your battles is dumb, Then i will be dumb. Look pal. I grew up in Kenya with those soldiers. Probably went to school with some of them today killing Somalis. They never liked me, they will never like Somalis. They do not have Somalia or Somalis's interest at heart. So, suggesting that they will root AS out and keep Som Safe,is really but a naive thinking. Al shabab is evil. They can only be defeated by Somalis... Somalis need to rise up and reject the barbaric and backward thinking militants. You dont need a foreigner fighting your wars. To think that somehow, Kenya's incursion will end the AS menace once and for all is, DUMB.

Today's al shabaab can't be compared to yesterday's ICU. Come one people! Ethiopia was enemy, Kenya is not. Ethiopia "stability" depends on Somalia's destruction, Kenya's is not. Ethiopia invaded the Somali capital, Kenya is not. The emotional reaction of this incursion.need to.stop, people need to react with objectivity, not subjectivity! Objectivity? Really? Indulge me bal mjomba? What is the bloody objective of this "incursion"? Grab the abducted foreigners and then back to base? No? OK, lets say they do that. what will you do the next time they come back and abduct more foreigners or better yet, bomb some place in Nairobi? or Garissa? I know for sure This has nothing to do with "protecting Kenya", or bringing back those abducted tourists(for all we know, this could be an inside job).... because if that was the objective, Kenya Wouldve gone to war with Ethiopia and Uganda they had several incursions by Ethiopian shiftas in the northern part of the country and Museveni's claim to an island in Western Kenya. Look, friends and foes. Your country is invaded. You are cheering. You are foolish.

Naxar Nugaaleed;752342 wrote: enough with this none sense about invasions people, when faced with the two options of submitting to terrorist who blow children up or getting outside assistance it should be clear to all sane people what the better option is. Let me guess what the better option is for you naxar? Invasion?
  7. Thankful;752312 wrote: Look I think we can agree that people were kidnapped from Kenya and brought to Somalia (whether Al Shabaab or not). Even though I am not sure if this has been 100% confirmed. I really doubt any country in the world would not react in a similar way. Also, I know I am not alone, because the TFG seems to support this action. They are in control of Mogadishu now and can regain cities further south. Is there legitimate objections to this? By all means. If Kenya doesn't play this right and works with the TFG, this will all back fire. As well, Al Shabaab may try and use this as a recruiting tool, however, I believe that the unbelievable attack in Mogadishu has single handedly turned millions of people against them. Al Shabaab's war crimes - which include kicking out aid agencies which has caused unbelievable suffering - are extremely important and can never be over-stated. They allowed their people to starve! Just picture yourself living in those area's. This is about public opinion and I am not seeing the same condemnation and protests as you would expect. I believe this is because people are fed up with them. are you out of your bloody mind? what the fck is wrong with somalida? urgh!!! Look, i hate AL shabab. I despise those killers. But to suggest that, it is ok for a foreign country to invade your country is INSANE. Your logic is actually illogic. Look, we ve been thru this road not so long ago. Ethiopia was a failed experiment...Kenya can not and will not be able to solve the issue of Somalia by invading it. Period. It is wrong. it is ill informed and it will fail.
  8. xiinfaniin;752305 wrote: ^^nuune you are mistaken if you think Kenya army is incompetent. Bravery is a nomadic fairytale. In reality, and in the modern warfare, bravery is not even a consideration. You get the amo, the equipment, intelligence, and the aerial and logistical support, and the advantage is yours. If bravery was a differentiating factor in wars, Palestinians would've won longtime ago. Read history awoowe. The British conquered the world not with fighting white men, but with recruited natives with superior equipment and logistical support. Sxbkey, you can win the battle, but what is the purpose of the incursion if it aint to eliminate the enemy? Kenya can win this battle but, for them to finish al shabab or whateevr they are fighting, they must fight conventional war...and that, sxbkey jareertaan ogaa, ka heli meysid. Nadartu anaa indhaheyga saaray, askari kenyan ah oo isku kaadshe, markii loo diray shufta dhanka faaxfaaxdhuun iyo giriley kasoo gashay. However, your statement about natives fighting for them, could tilt the war for them. Azania natives, will indeed help.
  9. anyone who thinks Kenya is going after the kidnapped foreigners is lying to himself. Let me repeat, this is a very sad sad reallly sad situation for both som and Kenya
  10. What a sad day for the people of Kenya & Somalia. I am almost tempted to say Macsokor to Somalis for putting themselves into this situation. Lax waliba meeshey isasaartaa lagu gowracaa!- Ina adeer yaalow- I cant even read the bloody headline. Waa unbeleiveble. The words Kenya,Invades Somalia is just unfreaking -believable. I cant even read it. I am saddened as a Somali, especially a Somali Kenyan. Look, the Kenya Army and that useless thief of a president, are clueless hags. OK, Kenya has had numerous, invasions by Uganda & Ethiopia: Museveni, literaly took an island belonging to Kenya and deployed Uganda soldiers, Some Kenyans were killed in Marsabit when Oromo thugs came in and invaded, another 2 dozen were killed when Ethiopians invaded Turkana in northern part of the country. What did they do? Nothing. Now,that a couple of tourists and some foreign aid workers have been abducted, they decide to engage in a full blow war? This is ill informed. This is short sighted. This is wrong. It is as i said, a sad day for both Somalia and Kenya. This is another wake up call for Somalis. Burry your differences and please build yourself a country. I mean, youve got to be kidding me...when Kenya, of all countries is bloody invading Somalia?-
  11. Akadar, nothing wrong with show casing your tourist sites. Remember,JB works for the ministry of information, dept of tourism, the internets and online division. Ka daa dee, haa natuso, dhagaxiinta iyo ha ka sheekeyo sideey reer baydhabo iyo reer garowe uula yaabeen hargeisa(iyo traffic light yadeeda)

  17. Doqomiin=Doqoomin Baad=Baad Wada=Wada Tihiin=Tihiin Of course,i had to type it twice because, well you are all doqomiin(those claiming difference in dialects, or otherwise suggesting that, some sort of a Somali Dialect is better purer than most all). Bure Kabisa!(thats swahili for Useless)
  18. I had a female boss when i worked @warehouse some yearsss ago....She and I were actually pretty cool. She was cool..i beleive she was cool because she had no clue about the job. I mean, she just graduated from college with a degree in industrial engineering. One thing i liked about her was, that, even tho,she was the operations manager, She would join us on the warehouse floor and actually work with us. Although i beleive, she came to hang around us because we were fun. Anyway, ,ive never had a female boss in my proffesional life; I dont think it will make any difference tho..especially right here in the good ol USA.
