Dear Bacteria. When you have uninteligent, selfish and heartless leaders; you are bound to have such cases. The TFG is not a legitimate govt in the eyes of Somalis, its a govt created by Warlords(Who were kicked out by somalis) led by Warlords and meant to serve the personal interest of warlords. As you know Warlords, were the cause of all fitnah in Somalia, they were kicked out and defeated, only to re-emerge with the help of American Taxpayers dollars & Ethiopian troops. Inshallah, just as the Somali people chased warlords away, these new breed of Warlords will be chased as well.

Xiinow,As soon as the Tigre junta was given the assignment to tame al-qaeda Somalia,it was just time before they got the extended assignment of torturing muslims into confession. These men were seized from Southern Somalia/Northern Kenya, many were on holiday from Canada,UK & the USA; No one knows where they have been renditioned to. May allah have mercy on them. Also, some of us knew of this somtime back, got emails from freinds and relatives asking for wherebouts and some petions. An example is this Petition by Nomad S.O.S From The Islamic Section

The saddest thing of all is the fact that this TFG seems to lack the authority to make commitment on political deal without the consent of its sponsor. That's a deal breaker if you ask me. Advice to Islamists...embrace the negotiated settlement proposal, use the IC gathering in cairo and issue statement via Sherif renouncing the use of violence as political tool to reach the party's political objectives. Demand more involvement of this group in the transition period. Declare UIC as a political party, name "moderates" as the exucative slate, and define its political platform and issue a document detailing how they think we should manage the country during the transition period as well as post-conlict era. They gotta undertsand how the game is played and played it like a pro. Khidca is allowed in times of war! Just do it! Baashi, I chose to quote these two seemingly contradictory passages for a reason. First, How do you expect to go into a political dialogue with a group that is unable to make any independent decision? Secondly, sitting down with an invading army is not dialogue, its surrendering and accepting an illegal occupation. If,as you said, The TFG cannot make any tangible decisions on the impasse right now, then how in the world would anyone have a meaningful discussion for the way forward for Somalia? At best, they should be disbanded completely! If you are saying that the wadaads should wave a white flag & accept the TFG propped ethiopian government, then i am afraid you are proposal is a recipe for disaster[As is the case right now]. For if that was an option, they would have done this the first time the Tigre invaded and killed all those brave somalis, but more importantly, its the IUC's core belief to keep the Tigre christian orthodox nation off Somali Soil.(Thought i should remind you this is what got us in here first). Adeer, frankly speaking, on this side of the aisle, There is only one way out of this: Complete withdrawal of ethiopian forces & then dialogue with an Independent TFG is acceptable. The sooner the TFG accepts this FACT,the better their chance of governing Somalia better. May allah have mercy on the innocent.

Waryaa Khalaf,There is ample material in this section that shows you criticizing the Islamic Movement in Somalia. On the other hand, there is ZERO material showing your condemnation of the christian othordox invasion & subsequent killing of fellow muslims. Funny enough laakin, you have trademarked yourself as the champion of islamic rule on these boards; you are smart enough to figure out your stance adeer, all i did was point which way you were leaning. In anycase,if you are[still] doubting which side you are on, look at the number of xabashi supporters who are defending you in this thread[Or the ones you have lol'd or nodded your head in agreement with].

^ What I don't get is your advocacy for Islamic ummah, khalifah, sharia law yet your display of affection for a warlord led government whose action go against the principal you seem to uphold Its quite simple, there many who are in this dilema. Torn between Islam and the local Warlord. See, They are completely ok with warlordism & supporting a christian orthodox nation killing fellow muslims; They are even OK with a foreign christian country invading there islamic nation. But here is the flipside to this dilema: These same people have the audacity to advocate for the Islamic caliphate system of governance,Sow la yaab mahan?

Wada hadal waxaa lala hadlaa qof awood leh amisna karti leh; Bal maxaa laga hadlayaa? They: 1. Dont have any significant weapons,Hadii laisku daayo they will be crushed in a single day. 2. They dont call the shots,Ethiopia calls the shots. 3. Waxa lala dagalamayo ayaka ma'ahan, they dont have significant troop presence, the tigre junta is doing the fighting. Marka, bal tolow why would anyone talk to them? Last i remember,Stooges dont talk, they are just to be seen, remember you talk to the masters not stooges. You discuss with your threat, not a fuley hiding behind another man's army[That is financed by America]. Your hear that Gacmo dheer? -
In other words, we're perfectly happy to let other men do the fighting and dying thing for us. We're not too keen on the dying part, feel me ? We just wanna put Adeer Yey on the kursi. There is actually a word for it; its called FULEYNIMO. The TFG could not face niman rag ah sidooda okale, so they Begged for an ENTIRE country's army to fight for them. That, a weak govt can ask for help to fight for them is understable, but to have grown azz men cheering and celebrating the achievements and fighting prowess of other men is just plain ,well, punkness. Nin rag kala unaageyo[sorry, ladies] maxaa af somali lagu dhahaa?? Was it Gawaad? Ragnimada waa loo kala dhashaa "Baradar", Nacalad baa kutaala xabashada iyo inta raacduba

President Yoweri Museveni yesterday landed in the Eritrean port city of Massawa in what seems an unexpected return route from his Asia trip. Museveni and his wife, Janet, were received at the airport by Eritrean President Isaia Afeworki, according to a press release from state house. The two-day visit is likely to focus on the worsening situation in Somalia, where Ugandan peacekeepers reported their first death on Saturday. Five more Ugandans were injured, two of them seriously, when mortar shells pounded the presidential palace they were guarding. The casualties, whose identities can only be revealed after their families have been informed, were on Sunday morning evacuated to Nairobi. Heavy fighting between Ethiopian and Somali troops and insurgents raged on for a fourth day yesterday, as Ethiopia said its military had killed more than 200 insurgents and hospital sources told The New Vision the number of wounded had soared to 656. More shells rained on the presidential palace, known as Villa Somalia, which is still guarded by Ugandan soldiers, but no new casualties were reported. “We are still at Villa Somalia”, said spokesman Capt. Paddy Ankunda by telephone. “A total of 150 peacekeepers have taken over the security of the palace from the Ethiopians. The mortar bomb which killed our soldier and wounded five others was targeted at the Ethiopian troops.” President Museveni’s visit is widely seen as an effort to appease Eritrea, which is accused of arming and supporting Islamist insurgents, and to seek its support for the peacekeeping operation. Last month, Eritrea told Uganda to pull its forces out immediately, warning of “dire consequences” if they remained. “We believe that the Government of Uganda must rectify its error and pull out of Somalia, otherwise the situation will become increasingly dangerous,” Eritrean Information Minister Ali Abdu said. “It will not only worsen but will become a war between the Somali people and external forces. That will have dire consequences for the whole region.” A message from Museveni, delivered by his foreign affairs minister Sam Kuteesa two weeks ago, did not seem to have yielded results. Hours later, the Eritrean minister again warned foreigners not to meddle in Somalia’s affairs. “The parties who want to help the Somali people and preserve the unity of Somalia should let them decide their own affairs,” a statement warned. The fourth straight day of fighting left a trail of devastation in the capital. “The fighting was less intense than Saturday, allowing for people to leave their homes,” said one medical officer by telephone from Mogadishu. “Thousands and thousands are fleeing the city. As there are no buses, they flee on foot with whatever they can carry. “Businessmen are evacuating their goods, fearing destruction and looting. Prices of water, food and fuel have shot up. All commercial flights have stopped.” Some businessmen attempted to open their shops at the main Bakara market after the local radio had announced a ceasefire between the Ethiopian troops and the ****** clan. “But when the shelling resumed, they quickly closed them,” the medical officer said. According to AFP, elders from the ****** clan made frantic calls for a ceasefire to allow civilians to flee. The elders, who held talks with Ethiopian commanders, said rival sides should observe an unconditional truce and withdraw their forces from frontline neighbourhoods. “We call on both sides to stop the fire and withdraw from the frontlines four hours after the ceasefire is implemented,” they said in a statement. “We ask the AU peacekeeping mission AMISOM, to monitor the implementation of this ceasefire.” But the calls were in vain. The exodus was reportedly highest from the Ali Kamin neighbourhood and the stadium area, where the fighting has been the fiercest. An AFP correspondent saw the bodies of six civilians lying in the street. Fire from artillery and tanks had destroyed homes in the stadium area. “There is still fighting over here. There are tanks everywhere. Shells are landing everywhere and this is very scary,” Hussein Ali, a resident of southern Mogadishu, told AFP. “There are very few residents left in the battle zone. A lot of people have been killed and others wounded,” he added. The bodies of two soldiers could be seen

Axmad Guree, Sxb there is no truce, Just buying time lee.. Read this below MOGADISHU (AFP) - Hundreds of Ethiopian troops were seen entering the Somali capital Monday after four days of heavy fighting sparked by an Ethiopian offensive against Islamist rebels and clan gunmen. The troop movement came after dozens of civilians died and thousands fled the capital in the worst fighting in Mogadishu in more than 15 years, as Ethiopian forces try to help the Somali government restore order. Residents on the outskirts of the embattled port city said fresh Ethiopian forces had entered the capital on the road from Baidoa, some 250 kilometres (155 miles) to the northwest, where the interim parliament is based. Ethiopia denied that it had deployed any new troops to Somalia, but a spokesman said Somali and Ethiopian forces were strenghtening their positions. "There are no new soldiers deployed from Ethiopia. They are not a new deployment. Two-thirds of the Ethiopian troops deployed to Somalia were withdrawn," foreign ministry spokesman Solomon Abebe told AFP Monday. An unknown number of Ethiopian forces deployed in Somalia last year and helped the Somali transitional government drive Islamist fighters with alleged links to the Al-Qaeda terrorist network out of the capital. Ethiopia said last week that it would finish withdrawing its troops in consultation with the African Union, which is supposed to replace them with its own peacekeepers. The AU has only deployed 1,500 Ugandans so far, and a first Ugandan peacekeeper was killed at the weekend. Ethiopian troops and tanks held positions in the Mogadishu's Ali Kamin neighbourhood, near the main soccer stadium, where fighting has been fiercest in recent days and sporadic gunfire continued to ring out Monday. No clear death toll is available from the fighting since the Ethiopian army launched its drive to rid the capital of militia forces on Thursday, but the International Committee of the Red Cross estimates that dozens of civilians have been killed. The UN refugee agency said Sunday that some 10,000 people had fled Mogadishu over the past three days alone, bringing the total displaced to nearly 100,000 since February. A doctor told AFP that Ethiopian troops raided the hospital in the battered Ali Kamin area on Sunday. "The Ethiopian forces broke into the hospital. They broke the doors of the offices. They have collected all the medicine and they also detained one of the doctors," said doctor Muhamud Hassan, from the Al Hayat hospital. "We don't know why they are doing this but we are not involved in the fighting. There are a lot of patients and some have been wounded by artillery shells that landed in the hospital," Hassan said. Elders from the capital's dominant ****** clan Sunday called for an end to the fighting, but Ethiopia did not comment on the second attempt at a truce in as many weeks. The elders asked the African Union peacekeeping mission to monitor the implementation of a ceasefire. Eritrean President Issaias Afeworki and his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni meanwhile held talks Monday at the Eritrean port of Massawa to find "practical steps" to restore calm in Mogadishu, officials said. Ethiopian arch-foe Eritrea has advised Uganda to pull its peacekeeping forces out of Somalia, warning of "dire consequences" if the recently-dispatched African Union troops remain. Analysts have expressed fears that Ethiopia and Eritrea, still at odds over an unresolved 1998-2000 border conflict, may fight a proxy war in Somalia.
