I think one should never underestimate the power of our Muslim clergy. Especially since i expect this message to be relayed (directly or indirectly) by every Somali sheikh within the country and in the Diaspora I think the keyword should be "Every self respecting" sheekh. This sort of things will never have happened, In fact he has refused many of their demands in the past, and that put him in a lot of troubles. The Western donors & his Government were @ loggerheads for the last 10years of his rule. They cut funding, labeled him a ruthless dictator hell bent on supressing democracy & many other names.
