They established a huge anti-government coalition and were able to overthrow it. They then planned for the Nairobi conference that led to the creation of the present government. This government was created to satisfy the desires of the Ethiopian government and its terrible plans for Somalia. Apparently this government was fighting our traditions and customs - Islam and Muslims in general. Each candidate used to have his program and he had to say explicitly that he would fight Islam and the Muslims. Abduallhi Yusuf was one of the first of them Does that answer your query yaa Pujah?
  2. Originally posted by N/AA: Well what is done is done and there is no going back in time. At this moment, if the Ethiopians were to leave, a power vacuum of immense proportions would occur. I am sorry those of us in the comforts of our homes in the Western World are so eager for that vacuum to ensue but I cannot in all honesty say the same for our war-weary and malnourished people back home. I think the majority of poster here are cyber fakes. Stop drumming for a war and/or battles you are not likely to see! There Goes the Neighborhood.. Dear Sh.Shareef, Please respond to the weak & the faithless.. Oh,wait I think i hear something from the good sheikh.... Interviewer: What is your current vision for a solution? With whom would you like to engage in negotiations? Sh. Sharif: 1. Withdrawing the Ethiopian troops from Somalia. 2. Holding a reconciliation conference in a neutral country and inviting all concerned parties to take part in this conference. 3. Ensuring international support for this conference and respecting its recommendations. Interviewer: Did you receive any foreign support during the last periods of the conflict? Is it true that you received support from Eritrea? Sh. Sharif: These are nothing but lies. We did not receive any foreign support. Our only support was our people's solidarity. Interviewer: The governments plan or the proposals for negotiations or reconciliation, do they contain any points you agree on? Sh. Sharif: This is not a reconciliation that we could accept. For us, this is not reconciliation, but rather infighting incited by the government. Interview: Incase you refuse this proposal and the others reject your own conditions, how will the future be like? What are the prospects? Is it more infighting? Sh. Sharif: Frankly, we have always been seeking peace and we are continuing to do so. However, we cannot agree on something that will not bear any results. Those setting arbitrary dates for reconciliation are not being realistic. Interviewer: The way the current war is being fought; will it lead to the fallout of the present government and the withdrawal of the Ethiopians? Sh. Sharif: I have no doubt about it. I'm confident that they will be able to drive out the invading Ethiopian troops out of Somalia
  3. Let them stay, Thats good fodder for the insurgents~
  4. I'm Rubenesque As in Ruben Stuttard? If so,I am Sorry (Pun intended)to tell you this,But Rubes obese now..
  5. Can Someone please remind these M.M* brits,(The ones Missy Elliot cant stand)that P.E is a thing of the past? With the discovery of E.D drugs,I.E Viagra & Ciallis, You will think they be Up & Doing whats expected of them * M.M = Minute Men, E.D =Erectile Dysfunction
  6. The difference between a Leader of the people & an imposed ruler. Inshallah,Sh Shareef will be the compromise leader for future statte of Somalia.
  7. Cool stuff yo. I think, since his shift to reggea, K'Naan is becoming more popular by the day.

  9. Originally posted by me: how about Pland needs to go? I think its going,I have a feeling this is part of the reason why Cadde is under the spotlight here. There is only one president for Puntland and he is leading a bunch of Warlords in Xamar~ Btw,I just was wondering,How can you call an adminstration Dowlad Goboleed and then name its leader Madaxweyne?
  10. Shifta iyo burcad ka dhaman meyso dhul somaleed, especially in Gedo area. Dil ama haa dilin they keep coming somehow~
  11. Originally posted by Northerner: ^^nice one, a fellow LFC fan. A uniting factor Payback is a biaj adeer, Did you forget the anguish, pain & suffering your reds caused to ALL milan fans? Now its your turn to suffer Great article from the Author. Pretty much what all experts have been saying for months. A group of Warlords are claiming to bring back governance when in fact they are just fulfiling a containment & quarantine policy for the powers that be. They are too dumb to notice this, they are too greedy to acknowledge this obvious fact. May they all die in a inferno~~
  12. Originally posted by Che-Guevara: quote: Is this deterioraton deliberate? LooooooooL@Faarax..You are becoming more conspiratorial. The old man get to go. We need people with fresh ideas and hopefully least corrupt. Oh come on Che, You know damn too well the ins & outs of African politics & governance. A single fat cat(pun intended) could bring down an entire adminstration,Its even much easier to bring down if that adminstration is someone's creation(real, percieved or otherwise). Now,Cadde has been in power for quite sometime now & you and I know very well that he was put in there by the regional warlord of Puntland now national warlord Yussuf. His popularity aside, Cadde's downfall,to some degree, has something to do with This President. That’s my hunch~
  13. Originally posted by The Duke: I have nothing in common with Xasan, Thats not correct yaa Duke,I will refresh your memory again(and again). Please look at my signature & read what you said sometime back in 06. because I have stuck to my guns in support of peace and national restoration. Thats not correct either...
  14. Originally posted by xiinfaniin: Things are deteriorating there--not that wish it to be that way but that’s what we hear happening. Is this deterioraton deliberate? Its just suspicious to see things spiraling down out of control in such a short period.
  15. I think i see one of my cousins out there. A staunch supporter of the former warlords now government ministers! Tolow why did he switch camps?
  16. Originally posted by Puuja: And yet we have some what unconscious people supporting these warlords. They are so proud of their kinsmen that if they dont support em,they will be labeled as traitors! The shockers of that~!~
  17. How bad is it in Somalia? Bad enough that people fleeing the capital have been reduced to renting trees for shelter. It's the sort of thing that happens when drug-addled warlords roam the countryside, imposing taxes of 50 percent on aid recipients. And the sort of thing to be expected of a government whose prime minister, Ali Mohamad Gedi, has publicly accused the United Nations agency feeding the country of spreading cholera along with food deliveries. Did he really say that? I know he is capable of spewing such statements,as you all know,he aint the sharpest knife in the kitchen, but i still cannot believe the Prime Minister actualy said that the UNDP was spreading the daacun !!! The trade off was worth it huh?, Route out the dangerous Wadaads, bring in a govt along with an occupying force that commits genocide which led to displacement which in turn led to diseases!! All for whot?
  18. Does it matter what street a Somali Begs? Is it me or am I getting this vibe from posters here that its so shocking to see a Somali beg? Especially in a country such as Liberia? Folks,Gone are the yesteryears of the Proud Somali, the Symbol of $$$ wealth to most other Africans. I remember in Kenya for instance,You could never see a Somali beg in the streets of Nairobi in the 90s, Today you will see Somalis living as Chokoras(Street children) in Eastleigh digging out of the trash!!. I Have seen these families camped outside restaurants just waiting for leftovers or see them rushing to a table as soon as a patron goes to the sink. I saw men and women disguising themselves and begging for 10 Shilings while covering themselves with a Niqab or cimamaad, out of embarrassment I guess. It was so heartbreaking for me that I avoided eating out unless I bought food for two or three street families. 10K miles away, I saw the same thing, this time in the streets of Cedar & riverside in Minneapolis. Young drunk Somali kids ran to my car and begged for a buck(bus ride to Burnsville, coz he just gout of Jail). I didn’t buy the story because on the ground laid two of his comrades, pants down to their ankles bleeding from the head, I think they hit the concrete while fighting. My friend reached for her purse, I ALMOST stopped her but i stopped myself. Somalis have been begging for decades in both strange & familiar places. We had 1000s of beggars back in the day on the streets of major Somali cities even during the glorious days, this is not new phenomenon. My suggestion to you is,If you have a distant family member somewhere out in East/Central Africa, Send him.her a few bucks a month. You dont know who is begging out there & you may just get someone out of the streets,Plus the Thawaab you get out of it.

  20. Baashi, lool@ why doesn’t Sh Shareef make up with Gheedi. But I am pretty sure it has EVERYTHING to do with their political afflitiation(temporary or permanent) Ms D & D, walaal everyone wants peace but realistically speaking, given the current environment, where former warlords are back to there former fiefdoms, the chances of that happening is none to zero. The never coming reconciliation meeting will not happen in such a combative environment. Let me ask you this directly: Will Sh. Shareef, the shabaabs & the disgruntled clan members or anyone carrying the resistance, stop fighting if for instance I, cyber jihads calls for "peace"? Lets be real here people,Irrespective of what I think of,there people on the GROUND who have vowed to revenge, fight and kill the occupiers & collaborators or anyone sympathising with thehm. It doenst look like it will change soon as long as the environment remains the same. There is nothing wrong with anyone voicing an opinion on the actions taken against the collobrators if one sympathises with such actions. Fact: As long as there Ethiopian boots in Mog,Yussuf/Ghedi and the flock of warlords are running the show & Uncle Sam meddling and labeling Somali leaders as terrorists, there wont be a realistic peaceful solution. This is the position of the people fighting on the ground, it has nothing to do with any keyboard commandoism,Period!!
  21. Originally posted by Castro: ^^^^ Tell em atheer. Supporting the resistance is "chest thumping" while supporting the treacherous regime is to be politically savvy? What's wrong with this picture? It’s a defeatist attitude, a resignation on their end. Or it just could be the new rhetoric from our resident fence sitters also known as sympathisers.
  22. Jingoistic chest-thumping behind a computer screen does not convince me that you have ideals you are willing to die for, unless you're penning hurried messages in between skirmishes with the Xabashi. If that's the case, my humble apologies Hold up there people, Advocating and voicing an opinion for a cause doesn’t equate to chest thumping. The position held by Kashafa & the anti TFG brigade is the same one expressed by the fighters on the ground. This doesn’t make one "an arm chair general"(if I may borrow your word here Cara), its merely just debating and articulating a position.
