Anyone who has not eaten muufo needs to karbaash'd. Emperor, loool. Adeer, that explains why them Muufo eaters are strong (manly)men with great stamina while the women have great physique. 7. Originally posted by ZOLA: ok guys ..this was an isolated incident and has nothing to do with the management of the building or the people who live there.keep your Criticism to yourselves.2 people got drunk and 1 was unfortunately raped( or should i say allegedly)... FYI Faraxbrown..there is no such building by the name of MCknight in St.paul..MCKnight is a rd and the apts where the incident took place is Afton View..says who its the "shittiest" building in St.paul? its just like any other public housing building..whether its in the cities or the suburbs of st.lous park. Nephthys..who r u to judge a group of people(somali) and the management of their building..how on earth do u know if they r poor and illitrate..and do u know the manager of this building perosnally to call him illiterate? wow you have given the word judgmental a whole new meaning. c mon guys.. after 6 pages u all r still talking about this incident..give it a rest. let the courts deal with it. My apologies,I thought it was the same building. In any case,i think the management has everything to do with the situation here. If the management of my building in Minneapolis let drunkards in,he will be sued the first time. The fact that the building's management is incompetent plays a hand here. Enough said tho',that building manager is going to court, like it or not.
  8. Caano Muufo,LOL,You are correct, soor is the Somali version of Ugali. Softer & somewhat smoother. But,i was talking about the ingredients. I beleive(Someone correct me otherwise),the Muufo ingredient is nothing much more than Corn flour & wheat flour. The secret,is in the ratio of mixture of the two. My own experience tells me,that Mofa(as the coastal folks in Kenya say),needs a higher ratio of corn flour than wheat. I probably could get the ingredients of it but i dont think it will have the "Authentic Muufo" fame to it. Is it me or are you folks from Northern Som kidding me? I.E Northerner. How could you not know Muufo aka Cajiin?
  9. Originally posted by Dahia al Kahina: ^^^Lol,Northerner your having a moment of lost in translation miyaa..lol , am assuming Muufo is some sort of bread, am I right? @Caano Geel Muufo is just another Ugali. Think of it as a bread made of some ratio of Ugali(Unga flour) & Chapati(Unga Ngano flour). I am not exactly sure of the ratios but i know it has both flours. As for the recipes,it is one of those Somali mysteries that only a Somali can ever understand,Just like eating Bananas with every food.
  10. This is the first step to forming an alliance or party to counter the stooge puppet regime in Mogadishu. As a group, they must first hold a convention and draft a manifesto,to elect office holders & to start negotiations with the otherside. Many in here were always questioning what the IUC's agenda was for the country, well look no further. A genuine credible opposition will be born in Asmara,Inshallah. Hopefully, after forming this organization, the funding fathers of this TFG will come to their senses & broker a truce between the real warring factions. Hear out the otherside & stop the blanket blind support for this failing puppet regime. As we all heard after the completion of that failed reconciliation meeting, the diplomats have clearly shown less interest in this TFG.They have seen the incompetence & lack of support this govt has in Somalia(Mogadishu & Southern Somalia). Unless the people's choice(IUC,Asmara group, call them whatever) is given a chance, Somalia will be a failed state. Let us not dismiss a meeting before it even kicks off. Let us wait and hear what the inteligent free Somali leaders have for the country. Let us hear their vision, solutions & remedies for the country. Let us hear them out, perhaps, you may like what you see or hear. May allah help you in your vision to free Somalia from Habashi invaders & their warlords B!tches . Amin
  11. ^Che,Walle you are as cynical as they come. Give the brother a break & Congratulate him. Every athlete has to proof him or herself. Great Athletes like Hesham Elgouroge & Haile Gabresalasie could ever win anything, theyu were number fives & sixes. For instance before Gabre ever won anything, the Kenyan runners would whoop his 4foot a$$ in every meet. But he never gave up &with time, Kenyans didnt even come close to beating him. It almost became an national obsession to beat Gabre. They put alot of money on the 5K and as a result lost medals in the other events. Congrats to Farax(Its about time the name farax was associated with positiveness anyway)

Was I insulting you [Anshuur] somehow? I know shitty management when I see it, it creates shitty products [residents of the said building.] That's what happens when you put these [already considered] poor, illiterate people [mostly Somalis] all in one place, in these huge govn't housing buildings, with equally illiterate manager. They fall apart. Excuse me for saying "qashin" again. No need for you to explain yourself, MCknight is the shittiest of buildings in St Paul. Waa meel qurun ah?!!
  13. Give the guy a break yakhe! All he did was spread his legs( ) & pick up a toilet paper in the next stall. That is quite senatorial stuff, if you ask me. He really puts the "HO" in IDaho
  14. The top United Nations envoy to Somalia today lauded the success of the national reconciliation summit, which ended today, but cautioned that much work remains to foster better internal relations in the war-ravaged country Regarding terrorism, Mr. Fall said it is crucial to decouple the issue from that of settling the Somali political crisis to allow the reconciliation process to move forward. "The best way to fight terrorism in this country is to pursue open dialogue and genuine reconciliation among all parties in Somalia," What do you expect a diplomat to say to a bunch of peace seeking attendants to their face? That a process that cost millions of dollars was a total failure? Be realistic man,the diplomatic language,as i have highlighted and said elsewhere,if anything highlights failure more than success. Commonsense also confirms the same, the indiscriminate killing of civilians continues, daily bombs go off almost daily & gross human rights violations still happens in Mog. The residents are displaced & Somalis are far worse than they were 45days ago(and 8months ago).
  15. The UN special envoy for Somalia Francois Fall urged the fledgling government "to reach out to all opposition groups, those within and outside Somalia." "In this regard, I once again call on both sides to demonstrate political will and courage to engage in serious negotiations," he told about 2,500 delegates and observers attending the closing ceremony. Other diplomats said a different approach was key to pacifying the country, where numerous UN-backed initiatives have unravelled under a welter of clan feuds and power struggles. "We know this conference has gone nowhere. The problem is blind confidence in the (government)," a foreign diplomat told AFP, but Somali elders argued that at least such talks had been managed. "We all wanted to support it and we all did (that, but) it did not rise to the occasion, so we need a different approach now," said the diplomat, who asked not to be named. That about sums it up! This is a clear message to Sh.Shareef & the Asmara folks to open the door for the sensible TFGers to come and talk seriously for the country. Better yet, if it is a genuine call from the UN,it better contact Sh.Shareef & ask him to do this exactly. Moreover, the rogue team at the state dept incharge of the Horn, should stop taking Ethiopia's side and start engaging the Ertirians & the Sheikhs. Unless, we see a change from these diplomats towards the Sheikhs & their freindly allies,I am afraid all this talk is Hal bacaad lagu lisay... Allah Help Somalis..

More than 1,000 delegates representing the country's myriad clans and sub-clans met in the insurgency-prone city to discuss power and wealth sharing, as well as other key issues. Briliant point by Qabowsade, the fact that all this delegates and Somali traditional elders attended the conference is a sign of progress, they all support the TFG and the peace in Somalia, great success. Jimcaale: "The meeting is closing but the reconciliation remains open, it does not mean we have solved everything but the results we obtained show the congress is a stepping stone for future peace," said Mohamud Haji Mohamed, another elder. Cesh calaa selective reading. You managed to jump thru this quote here, bal tan ka fafaahi. "We know this conference has gone nowhere. I wonder with Somalis, why do they tie qamro drinking & Promiscuity together? Can a girl be drinking like a hippo & still choose who to do? Walaal, Inanta has a right to drink & she has a right to lock her legs together. Because therefore qamree cabtaa, then it is OK to rape her masoconeyso. She should've known when she came all the way from MPLS to St.Paul, gets drunk with this man, isolates herself in apartment. She should've known that this guy would eventually do something to her. I don't know I can't think of many other things that a man who is drunk and on the peek of qooq could do. . Adeer, see kaa noqotay? You are blaming this poor Xalimo for the actions of a drunk fool? Thats just wrong. She refused...big mistake.   So she should have just opened up miyaa? WTF?
