If the dumb dentist can be extreme so can anyone in opposing him. She has every right to oppose his opinion. What she doesnt have a right to is call him names. That was the original statement. Ghanima, but shes not wearing a hijab,so hey!

  5. I like women in heavy makeup. I like the superficiality that comes with it. This way i can take advantage of their insecurities. Just incase i dont get my way

Btw,am talking about the 2nd Buttman here(the one who was on TV). The first Butt(the dentist who was giving 30% to hijabified sisters),is of course wrong to deny service if someone is not wearing a hijab. That is just lame.(this i agree)
  7. Originally posted by Ms Dhucdhuc & Dheylo: FB All those happens because of corruption. Funds that should have been allocated to alleviate the above-mentioned hardships are disappearing. Authorities are helping their own folks, whilst ay iska indho tiraayaan daryo xumada ka jirta meesha. Dear,That is true for an established independent country with a functioning govt in place. There are no authorities in today's Somalia. Just a bunch of tribal chiefs bundled together and brought to their own capital city by an invading army. Ghanima,
  8. Dabshid,You are worried about Corruption in Somalia? What about Gross human rights violations, famine, poverty, high infant mortality, high prenatal death & occupation by another poor country(funded by the US)? Inkaar...

Look, the guy has an opinion & i think for you or anyone to sanction him is an infrignment of his freedom of speech. If you disagree with his position, get on the same medium he used and rebutt it. faarax, i think that it goes beyond having or expressing an opinion, and to be truthful, i would think that in general, the people he's offended would be the first in line to defend his right to have and voice his opinion. The offence is in the enforcement of his opinion. Put another way, if one agrees with Mr. Butt and his expectations of what a muslim woman aught to be like, then one also agree with jack straw on what a muslim aught to do in his presence also - since they are both applying the same logic, of the enforcement of personal preference over another persons choice. Precisly & i agree with you. But i think we are talking about two different Butts.(Butt Brothers that is ) The One am talking about is the one Ghanima thinks has "idiotic" speeches.

  11. Forget that,i didnt know chinese ppl kiss!! Anyway, aside from the obvious question(Why does JB post these things),how in the hell did she not die. I mean, they both had poison on their lips *ar aduunyo!*
  12. Originally posted by Ghanima: He is making my job and life harder, and since his actions affects me (he appointed himself as speaking for Muslim women) and according to him every Muslim (real Muslim he adds) will support him on this, I too can take an opinion on him and I have a right (as a Muslim women) to object to what he says if I don’t think it Is a true reflection. There is nothing wrong with extremism, just be extreme in your own home, don't try and pass it off as normal thing that all Muslims do. If I really told you what I think of them, you would have a heart attack, so since it is Ramadan I'll leave it at that. P.s. Notice I put "extremist" in quotation marks. I did not label them as such. Fair enough. I just think all this sanctioning of free speech and name calling is just silly/ People have different opinions and positions. 13. Originally posted by Ms Dhucdhuc & Dheylo: Actually I remembered the case of Jack Straw suggesting to niqabi sisters not wear it when in his surgery. The odd thing is..I definately disagreed with him then. I think this is loosely similar situation. I wonder if those against this dentist disagreed with Jack Straw's comment? I think it is silly to suggest to someone to wear a certain garment or remove a certain clothing to perfom a service. Its just ridiculous. Whatever happened to freedom?
  14. Originally posted by Ghanima: Both come on TV, some say they are extreme, I just think they are rude and misguided. I remember once Mr. Chowdhury was on Newsnight (It was over the niqab issue) and there was this Arab lady on the show with him, and she was talking about Muslim women etc, and he goes to her, "why are you here? you should be at home, and how can you speak of hijab or even Muslim women and you don't have a hijab on yourself, Go and cover yourself!" Lol, I sitting thinking Dude, do you know this show is watched by 90% non Muslims, and you have just publicly humiliated the women and appeared like a lunatic by personalizing an issue she was initially supporting you on! He is always so rude and confrontational, and never lets other people speak. He just lacks basic manners to be honest. Asad Butt is this dentist brother but he has also been in the media for being an "extremist" but he is just confused from what I've read and seen. I’ve run into both on few occasions, and I’m always torn between avoiding them or telling them what idiotic thugs they appear to be. So far I've avoided them So,what is wrong with extremism? Its an opinion & a position some ppl take in every religion(issue),and you have no right to call them names like "idiotic thugs" and "Misguided lot". That is undemocratic as it gets...

  17. Originally posted by Juje: The latest twist in this saga ever expands, it is believed that Yeey has a delicate weapon in his possesion which will help him get rid of Geedi as PM. In one of the prime resolutions that emerged from the Ali Mahdi project, the NCR , was that that TFG establish or include individuals in the TFG cabinet from outside the TFG parliament. The US encouraged such move and promised to spoinsor it fully should that cabinet mirror the aspiration of the Somali people. Yeey wants to take that motion to the parliament and insist it is the only way forward, however no one knows who he wants to bring from outside, but anything will be better than the current cabinet and their PM. Romour has it that it is Cali Mahdi of Naafta fame!
  18. ^No,That is not Gen.Mohamud Mohamed Barrow. That,as Dulqarnayn posted,is Maj.General Ahmed Sh.Farax. He was the 2nd in command to navy commandant in Mombasa before. Dulqar, where the hell do you get this articles from? Just to give you an idea, the population of the entire Northern Frontier district is about 2million ppl. Compare that to the rest of the Kenyans at 30M+ 70% of these are 100% Nomadic, which leaves 30%. Although, the number of Somalis in the army is high compared to there general population, they will still be dwarfed. I wish tho'that would have happened

You must be talking about a long time ago as that was surpassed by Al Ahly, Zamalek's fiercest rivals from Cairo and Egypt. Al Ahly are African club of the century voted by FIFA and no African team can come anywhere near them as they've won more continental cups than any other African club and last year they've won their 100th trophy which also happened to be their Centinaray year...How cool is that? Gormahia only won African cup winners cup and I still remember the rivalary with AfC Leopards..when those two locked horns it used to be war...Jaluo Vs Baluhya and it used to be ugly that where the phrase of "Ukikosa Mbira Usikose Mguu" was first invented...that is how serious that match was ... Peace, Love & Unity. I do indeed stand corrected,Al Ahly is perhaps the winningest team in Africa. They have won many games but i dont think they have many Cup winners cup. They reigned Supreme in the 80s...Another great team was FC Younder & Lagos shooters. Kampala City council played some of the best football while Gor Mahia played nothing but kickball Leopards Vs Gor was a warzone, lol

Theres no way i would have known, the clubs never ever made it out of the first rounds. The only team i remember personally was watching as a kid a game between Gor Mahia & Marine(Bada),As usual they got hammered but i was a proud support(forget that i was a Gor Supporter),but i still supported my people. Most other teams never really made that far Except maybe Gaadidka(Public Works) & Horsed(Who got beaten 7-0 one time)

We used to enjoy the games on tv,follow the players in the newspapers and get on with life..Nowadays,it seems they just eat, live and breath football
  24. Somalis are the worlds foremost supporters of a game they never excelled in. Even, back in Somalia, they were rabid fans. Despite the less than steller perfomance from there football clubs. Twenty something years later,i still hear about how great the clubs were. This even after Loosing over and over and over again to teams like Gor Mahia, Kampala City Council,El Hilaal,Zamalekh & a host of other African Clubs They never give up,Even after never ever making it to the African cup of nations or any caf game!!! Note to Self: Put Shyma on the DO NOT Brownher list
  25. Waxo dhidid(sweat) iyo neef tuur iga baxay markaan jaad cunay,Inaalilaaah I must've been speaking for 18hrs non stop(from Kisumu to Mombasa)...at the end of it all,i threw up everything, including the odkac i ate the previous morning Waa hadaan mar dambe ku dagmin...I blame it on Burhan Taqsiin bakeri & Shiimoy Marqaan!!!
