  2. Manual dexterity... why did those two words make me laugh?
  3. Will this damn day end?!!!
  4. When it comes to red teeth, the root of all evil is Burco As for wanting to get one Ibts, I guess beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder. heh.
  5. Ibts, I hope you're not judging that statement by me... I've never been there. But if you dont blv me, go and see the place. Say hello to my Adeeros and edos while you're at it. NG.. Salute!
  6. Che, wey ku badan yihiin Burco. And Borama is not like that.. its full of calm, nice, kind hearted souls.
  7. Burco is a dusty little town with ugly red-teethed and temperamental people (and occassionally self-righteous to boot!). There, I said it. Now watch as all the temperamental people prove me right.
  8. ^ Ma aragtey? LoL. Anyways, I cant tell if the boys and girls in this forum are flirting or just wasting time anymore...
  9. Because us women like to feel protected first and foremost, its a primal instinct we all have. Tall and strong men make us feel that - safe. Everything else is really secondary.
  10. I went to Paris and enjoyed some amazing sights and sounds. But also managed to get food poisoning and spent the better part of yesterday in a French Hospital trying not puke my guts out. I barely made it home last night after missing most of the day trains. I'm home today, and judging from the weather, I'm so very happy
  11. The best and worst weekend of my LIFE!
  12. Head-ache BTW.. the secury guard decided to look at me in a snotty way from now on... and not greet me. So I guess we will b keepin our distance from now on! aaaaaaaah... Headache
  13. ^No he isnt. Thanks for your advice peeps. But talking to him is what I would like to avoid. Talking will lead to a discussion and a chance for him to (potentially) lecture me. And furthermore, to talk to me at other times. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to just ignore it. And ignore him. And if asked, act confused and pretend I havent the foggiest idea whats going on.
  14. Hello Trolls! I've a little dilemma that I would appreciate some advice on.... I've been wearing the 'masar' most of last week and this week to work and the security guard, who is a Muslim guy, congratulated and complimented me and has been saying good morning since... Until this morning, when I came with my hair out... He threw a huff and decided to question me... I ignored it and pretended I 'thought' he was askin for my ID, showed it and ran for the lift... now... really, is this any of his business? Should I have stopped him the first time and not taken the compliments and told him I wear my masar when its convenient and it wasnt a sign of piety (wish it was, but truth be told)? I have a feeling he is going to try to talk to me as I walk out this evenining - I even got my lunch internally so I wouldnt have to out and run into him. Quite frankly, he has made me uncomfortable and guilty. How should I approach this with the utmost sensitively without having to explain anything - because I personally feel like this is a private matter and none of his business. I also, dont want to be rude and have a good relationship with him as he is one of two visibly Muslim looking people in the whole building.

  16. After 10 attempts of 12 sec max, I made it to 17 sec
  17. NG, I dont know what you're talking about. I would go just to see what its about and have fun but: 1) I'm shy 2) I dont flourish in such closed environments 3) I'm really really shy 4) I know you really dont want me to go because you have a crush on me [Ha @ your comment below] 5) I'm honest to GOD shy... very shy! So there you go!
  18. ^UD, he is NOT representing that society here. And he doesnt claim to be either. Doesnt that answer your Q?
  19. I did not belittle the event! I just said I was weary of its success. Old man, keep up!
  20. Oh I forgot to add, lots of second wife hunters too  I'm sure the words 'Muslim Sisters' will reach their ears as ‘willing to be second wife’... LoL.
  21. The only problem I can foresee with this event is the crowd. I'm sure there will be plenty of good sisters, but I very much doubt there will be guys of the 'right' mix (Financially and emotionally mature and responsible). They will either be too young, too old or too, erm, how should I put this last category - not forward or worldly thinking enough. Well, thats my impression of most of the guy I come across.
  22. NG, I’m only objecting to the way he is being picked on. Someone has used his real name in this thread – not yet deleted because I’m sure the mods didn’t see it. Also, there is no need to associate his views with those of the orgs he is part of, it will probably offend other people, especially when he hasn’t stated his opinions as those of QMSS. Also, my little sis is joining QM in the coming year and I’ve already told her there is a fab student org in place! So I don’t like it being brought into disrepute here... . That’s my reasoning and I’m sticking to it.
  23. Hello Ibs, Try not to turn me into a Marcus Advocate, alright?! I don’t see anything wrong with him advocating for people to join the QMSS and I also see a clear distinction between his views and those of the organisation. Furthermore, I don’t recall seeing him attributing his views to the student org – so whether they endorse or not is irrelevant, the guy is just here on his own… it’s a public forum.
  24. Ladies and gentlemen, This was all fun and games, but you're all attacking Marcus a little too personally now. There really is no need to bring Marcus' role in whatever Student org he is part of into question, thats so below the belt people. I'm certain you all have jobs and responsibilities in real life and you wouldnt appreciate someone naming you and implying you were incompetent at them! Marcus, word of advice, dont reply to personal attacks! (And drop Layzie from your kiss-A$$ team - she is really getting you into more trouble).

I know I love him all the more for it and I would want to be exactly like him as a parent. I just hope the kids grow up appreciating it (like moi ), not taking it for granted.
