Well Mujahid, most of us are not very well versed in the Quran and Diin in general so we'd look pretty stupid trying to talk about it. I do read the articles sometimes....but dont contribute...I'm still in the learning process and not in a position to answer any1's Q's or engage in discussions. Religious topics being very sensitive, I wouldnt wanna say the wrong stuff.....I could have my head blown away by our resident sheikhs who are not so patient.

Correction there X.Playa, we have to reform MUSLIMS NOT ISLAM. I do think a little more leniency with the law wouldnt do much harm. However, you're wrong on all three accounts there... 1. Islam is not known for ignorance...maybe people's ignorance about Islam. 2.Islam protects its women...thought sometimes the enforcers of law go a little to far in implementing these rules. Its useless 2 FORCE a woman to wear the Islamic clothing if her heart doesn't desire. Similarly, jobs and education are a must and her choice. 3.I dont know about KSA but where I live (rest of the Arab world), I've NEVER heard of such a thing let alone seen it.
