Seems like a perfectly good picture if the ladies were my friends and not doing my man! Nur, only in your head and every other man’s is this a dream. I personally would love to have 4 men attending to my every whim while helping perpetuate my genes. I just happen to think its quite immoral and selfish to have a relationship where I get 100% satisfaction and each one of my so called partners 1/4th. I sense something very strange about you as of late, don’t you think you’re pushing this little polygamous agenda of yours a little too far? I can only wonder about the number of applications you must have received to consider this lifestyle …. And maybe it does suit you…after all, you are an honourable man!

Waayeel, I fail to see what you intend to accomplish with your strewn points. If you're offended 'cause a topic has been deleted, why not take it up with the Admin in private..or even if you wish to show us the injustice done, why would you resort to defaming the Admin? Ameenah said it best Posting the site owners personal details and making baseless assumptions about his loyalties is just wrong. Further more, you have the audacity to use this forum at your convenience, whilst encouraging Nomads to harass its owner. Subxan Allah, that is very, very much below the belt! Rest assured, it will not be long before this thread goes up in smoke too...then what are you going to do? When you want to bring about a change, be diplomatic - specially if the ball isnt in your court. Capishe?

I want to help Dhagaxtuur's Family: Does anyone know?
-Serenity- replied to Alle-ubaahne's topic in General
LOL Alle-Ubaahne,What a noval idea - perpetuating the rather extinct heroic somali genes! I dont know why these folks are talking disparagingly to you, I certainly blv, when it comes to marriage and the like, you gotta be selfish. G'luck yaah. -

Heh. So much drama, so little time eh, dear cyber-political-actitivists? Admin, pardon the Nationalist. I dont venture into this neck of the woods that often but having read the thread he was reprimanded for, I assume it was a momentary lapse into emotional outrage. That said. The political section is ruined by 2-faced cows who dont contribute anything significant to most discussions but snide remarks and extremely repetitive responses. As much as some of you would like to think you're ennoying/angering or even having a discussion with ur baised drivel and unproductive attitudes towards political discussions with a certain faceless some1 on the internet, you're just contributing to the growing divide between somalis. By talking ill of whole regions, you're offending more people than the ones engaged in the discussion. So please, can we all exercise some caution with politics? Somalis get so worked up over it. For real nationalist who fancy doing something worthwhile with their time, get in on the action. Somalia is a booming business centre (or so I heard ). Seriously, for once I would like to read every1 represent their so called "region" by prividing us with positive news from the region and how progressive or regressive( ) the situation is back there. erm... positive n accurate of course

Xoogsade, Guardian-n-Protector I read your username as "Guardian and Protector of Myself for the right man" and that thought makes me smile. Blowing my own trumpet makes me happy and I always place myself next with you. If I can only afford the Wedding you aspire. Dear X, If the only deterrant in sending your application my way is financial, then worry no more. I'll make an exception for you. I'll bear 10% of the wedding expenses. . But I cannot forgo the stupendous and ostentatious wedding I've been planning since I was a wee toddler. Baryahan waad idaba qaadatey ma istidhi? P.S Just for future reference, Guardian or Protector is what my real name means in arabic Velvet, PS: Why the sudden fascination with my marital status? Heh. Something to do with those raunchy dominatrix boots in ur avator I presume.

Not much. Do you guys think we could put an end to the Ayaan Hirsi + Somali models topics? Its getting so tiresome n dull.

'Pimptastic' Article Velvet. To confirm his supreme pimpiness to the kids, Nelly got his own soft drink and called it Pimp Juice. He says that PIMP stands for Positive Intellectual Motivated Person Ever think that black people have a knack for turning all the negetive things into positives? Of course it could all be a result of ignorance and internalized hatred in the black community.

The virtue of being fat- a bus ride to self discovery...
-Serenity- replied to dawoco's topic in General
Originally posted by sheherazade: So what faults of yourself have you discovered and how? None. When it comes to public transport, I dont push, pull, smell or stare. The public transport is a painful joke. Two yrs ago the bus fare was slighty more than half of what it is now. We pay more and get less service, more delays & not a single noticable improvement. Its infuriating to say the least. I spend a whopping grand on transport a year, should get myself a bloody car... ... on 2nd thought, with congestion charging, immense pollution and rediculous traffic, just as bad. Heck! transport is a joke in this city -
Originally posted by NGONGE: I don’t think the aim of this thread was to renounce that part of tribalism. It rather was interested in the negative aspect of tribalism and how that could be banished. So far, all of you only repeated the words of the author (in a better way). But, none of you is willing to look into the ways tribes’ function and the reasons people claim superiority, dominance and supremacy! Hello Handsome I thought the thread was calling for total renouncement of the clan-system. Must have mins-understood it. My little mind could only enterpret this in one way, but I can see how yours would go further, think deeper and explore wider. Somalis, I call for ideas of how practically we could renounce and divorce ourselves from this primitive qabiil structure. Xoogsade Hey GUARDIAN. Your true tribe is your husband Rite X, all the more reason why I should get one from my tribe innit?

Anyday, I consider some1 from my clan closer to me than some1 who isn’t. Qabill is having that bond of unionship, identity and most importantly close proximity with people. Most people of a certain clan hail from the same region, have familiar lifestyles, history, sheekooyin, etc. It is but natural to identify with these people and easier to get closer to them. I think clans are most effective in qurboland. They identify with each other, help each other and look after each other. What you need to is disassociate is the system from the followers. Clan-system is about lineage. Blood is thicker than water brother. You cant deny or denounce where you come from. What is wrong is not for me to claim I belong to a certain clan, but to discriminate against others for belonging to a different one. The latter is obviously ignorant and absurd. We need to realize the latter is a form of prejudice, and one that should not be tolerated in todays world. Clans shouldn’t extend to political parties and govern political driven decision, specially a political party that is an umbrella for several other clans. We should recognize qabiil for what it is – identification/lineage/proximity. The fault with Somalia/land is not clans -- its somalis/landers.

I wouldnt want SOL to have music or photo sections. Reason being, those sorts of things only attract teenagers. Have you seen the amount of 16-18yr old somali girls and boys on that site(somelilife or sum'in)... With all their premature notions of life. Some of their profiles had me rolling my eyes left rite n centre. Something along the lines of "" Fave person: Tyreese, Joe , Nabi Maxamed (SCW)"....Can some1 tell me how this comes across??? and "Only contact me if you're buff and have a picture, I aint got time for your shyte otherwise" ...blunt is the order. We dont want that kinda crowd. SOL is for mature people and good discussions. I also adore the forum layout on SOL --- simple and spacious. I wouldnt change a thing -- 'cept maybe invite more people.

Arab bashers = WHATEVA! Arab defenders = maxaa idinka galay carabta?

Yes..and most coastal areas. Dreams of a beach hut in berbera have given way to a penthouse in hargeisa. p.s. Just incase you think I'm of little faith, I just donot like to thread on thin soil.

Is love a by-product of marriage, or is it a precursor for a good One?
-Serenity- replied to Nur's topic in General
2. [n] an unknown and unpredictable phenomenon that leads to a favorable outcome; "it was my good luck to be there"; "they say luck is a lady"; "it was as if fortune guided his hand" Seems most apt. Unknown and unpredictable to the person - obviously. -
Is love a by-product of marriage, or is it a precursor for a good One?
-Serenity- replied to Nur's topic in General
^^ Quick Response . Luck by my definition would be any predestined event that happens in our favour or to our liking. Something unexpected that makes one more content/happy. -
*To get a flippin car - automatic one. I cant stand changing gears. *Save some money so I dont have to take out a loan for uni next year. *Go on a 1-week holiday to a fabulous location. *Get a worthwhile hobby - like reading.

Is love a by-product of marriage, or is it a precursor for a good One?
-Serenity- replied to Nur's topic in General
Raw instinct and luck. I think these two factors are the most important in successfully finding that one person whether confirming to Islamic code of conduct or not. Is love a by-product of marriage, or is love a precursor for a good marriage? A bit of both. -
My sincere condolences to you and your family and his family. Ilaahay ha u naxariisto.
