Nice one WiilWaal. Hope you will contribute well to our little community. Feel free to post your stories right here for discussion, admiration, critique, etc...whatever floats your boat. Wlc.

Welcome girls. Hope you enjoy your stay at our friendly Virtual Somali Community. I hope all the new comers will use this space to make their *debut*. C'mon newbies...tell us all about yourselves here. "Alien Plasma" is so befitting! . Earn your stripes guys.

For those interested in watching a broadcast of the last demonstration in London, UK. SomTv . Its the second link.

LOL. Isnt that something? Surely this cant be right under Islamic law. What are these so called muslim leaders coming to?

^ To be fair, the menu doesnt contain such "delicacies" in most Thai restaurants here. Only the usual meat, chicken, fish, etc. I like the way that when your cooking ability was exposed, you tried to compensate by 'showing off' your Somali ability NGONGE, Yous a joka! Atleast you concede to my Somali ability. (which again seems like a farfetched idea for you)
-
NGONGE, Soomaalidu waxay tidhaahda, “maroodiba takarta saaran ma ahan eh, takale uun buu arkaâ€â€¦ in simpler Somali - dadka waxa lagu caayaa waxaad adigu garaneysid. So, what can you cook? Unless you were being sexist…in which case, p.s. I’m having a hard time deciding who is most likely to be the sidekick. UD, you know that’s just typecasting! How about you expand your taste? geeljire waaxid.
-
....Says the gourmand (NGONGE) UD,I take it you haven’t had the distinct pleasure of indulging in savoury sweet-n-sour Thai meals. **dribbles at the mere mention**. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it dude.

^^ Wise words. I suggest the lebanese restaurant we went to last year after the SL day. Delight in some Khubus with Hommos/fatush followed by shish kebab and hopefully this should put you in good light with the co-workers.

De mensen, uw Nederlands zijn verschrikkelijk. Ik stel voor u ophoudt eisend u de taal spreekt. Stok met het Engels, laat zullen wij?

You mean to say this isnt a joke?? Some1 would seriously and consciously do those things? *Not Maxamed I assure you* I know you're accustomed to me moving all the trashy topics to ur section...but this isnt trash...its a joke.

Ina Lilah wa ina Ileyhi rajicuun. My sincerest felt condolences to you OG and your entire family. May Allah give you the strength to pull through this difficult time. Samir iyo Imaan InshaAllah.

^ English is the international language of commerce, education, exchange, etc... communication! Which again brings me back to the significance of knowing Arabic? I dont see how him not knowing Arabic in any way affects his potential to be a president. Shouldn't these Arabs know English?
-
^^ LOL. I used to play with style mate. Even in the scorching heat, I never broke a sweat. I agree with your comparison of rahul n Sajin. Sajin specially grew fatter later on and could hardly make the runs. My best friend is half Pakistani, half SriLankan... She used to dread the matches between the two countries. Her parents would make her choose and take over the tv for the entire day screaming obscenities at the other team. Cricket is out of this world in the sub-continent. Even little kids as young as 5 know the ins n outs of the game + its history. True fanaticism, much like footie is here.
-
^ I know smart aleck! Still, English is the international language. And Somalis dont speak arabic but Somali.
-
^^ Thanks for the welcome. I was more of a batswoman actually  . I could usually handle all kinds of fast balls but a measly spin ball could take me out most of the time . I used to hate fielding..I still do, imagine standing around for hrs waiting for a ball to come ur way, and even then its not that exciting. Shane Warne was my bowling hero and Sajin Tendulkar my batting hero.
-
Raxmah, get better walaalo. Ilaahay ha ku caafiyo I'A.
-
So? Whats the significance of speaking Arabic?
-
Waaw! I never usually venture into this neck of the woods (thought footie was the only game discussed), but seems like we got some real sportsmen in here . I actually used to play cricket in school Rokko….all those India Vs Pak matches used to be bloody wars in my school . So do you play professionally? 23 runs per game is alright. But you must be a excellent bowler at 11 wickets in 6 games. Cricket is a lot of fun to play, but I just couldn’t sit through 6-8hrs of one game.

^^ Tuulo aa? . I'll have u know Hargeisa is an expanding metropolis. . Let Gediid return, taking advantage of his absence like that

BOB, BOB  Are you going to dwell on all that was and live for all that could be? Thats such a hopeless way to live life walaalo. I think its time you penned some notes on what BOB could do alone...

Dont do it Northerner. The flag stands for nationhood - Somaliland Nationhood. Its not a represenation of a qabiil. Besides, May is drawing closer and I want it within reach

Originally posted by Bishaaro: quote:p.p.s. This topic should be deleted for its sheer inanity. If I give you the answer you deserve, i may violate the golden rules. So I'm going to ignore you as I normally do. It took me a few minutes to realize why I was being attacked (Although these days nomads find anything and everything to try and get under ma skin). Take comfort in knowing that I was referring to the "confessions" and "pretentious attitude" of some in their response, not to mention gloryfying something that is awful for your health, more than the discussion of shiisha practices (which I hope was the ambigiously put forth intention). Otherwise, why you would start a topic to solely ask who smokes and what flavours is still ....... I wonder if any of you smoking experts know even the ingredients that make up the elusive shiisha.
