JEEHAAD I have heard of it, but i did not really paid that much attention to it.it is believed to be just a temporary base (eventhough i doubt that belived) and it holds close to a thousand soldiers, although the possibilty of enlarging the base is very likely. If you are asking whether the base has to do something with Somalia. The answer would be yes. I heard there were couple of Jet Fighters over some Somali towns, inspecting for some al-qaida activities. So far no body knows what their findings and their feature plannings. If the Iraqi issue settles down, may be we will see if the would move to the main land Somalia.

Hi every one: Nice Topic girl-from-ur-dreams, I am sorry for not seeing this topic little earlier, but i dont think it is too late to post my comments. Well girl-from-ur-dreams, the world is pretty harsh and unfair place at times. I dont think the Muslims are powerfull enough to fight with India, yet alone with America or any one else. The reason that would back my saying is that, there is no unity between the arabs or within the muslim world. We simply hate each other more than anyone else. Although we all pray to ALLAH, it is very hard to travel from one Muslim country to another yet carry out a Jihad against the JEWS (for example, you cant travel to Iran or Saudi Arabia or Syria if you r Iraqi who lives in Iraq). My point is that there are so many injustices done in the Muslims countries by Muslims against Muslims that what the Israels are doing to the Palestinians looks so insignaficant. That does not mean I dont support and cry for the Palestinians Sisters and Brothers.Palestinians have to work harder and harder ALONE to gain their country back. Forget about getting help from other Muslim countries. Becuase they are busy obressing their poeple(Iraq is a good example). Sure there will be alot of people (palestinians) killed, but they are lucky to atleast die for something fruitfull unlike we somalis. I dont know what my somali sister Miz Ayaan, have been smoking? But, i believe that there are issues that need to be addressed in the somali society, mainly cultural issues (Qabiil), that have nothing to do with ISLAM. I felt sorry for Mizz Ayaan (since she is a somali girl), for speaking without thinking about what is she is gana say. I dont think she has put much thought into this issue before she came to the public TV. And if she did, (Only GOD knows what her intensions were), I believe she will get what she deserves from Allah, The ALMIGHTY". I would love to hang-out with my somali fellow students, i.e. if i can find any. It is just that when i go to other states, i find alot somali young students who we have nothing in common. I know that is very ironic, but hey it is true. Alot young somalis (between 18-25 years) have had different childhood back grounds, for example, some have grown up in Kenya or Seria or India or Holland, when they try to get along there is always misunderstanding, 'cause there is that cultural differences. In my case, i could get along any somali student as long as we the same thinking level or Ideology. But I have to find one to begin with. It is better that you talk to the kids first before a parent loses start hitting the child. As far as descipline goes, there are many ways you encourage your kids not to do bad things again rather than beating them. For example, take their toys from them or ground them or etc. It is in Psychology-101,loool. I dont think the Quran refers to beating your child like a Donkey, but rather decipling them gently, but not giving them a black eye or broken nose or etc. So who ever told you that the Quran says that, told you Wrong.
