Religiously speaking, our muslim women are honered and they are responsible of the household (internal affairs) and men externals. My point is not to degrade women, but Man gotta be the president. That's why if divorce occurs, 90% is the man's fault coz he supposed to set a good structure for the family to be begin with. Bhelfner , i said this was what my father said to a fellow man . i personally think it's ****** how some men claim to be looking for a dumber partner in which they can control. it's like why do have to control anyone and why dont they look for some who is intelligent in which they can see eye to eye and can achieve compromise and their cooperation. PS:education doesnt=intelligence but can help.

SB, where do you get these things from?. at first i was hesitant to read your essay on the art of beating your wife. then it had me laughing. before you go and run with this to the "****** guy to ....." (you can filll the blanks, since its your book.) i hear this was only excepted in a certain clan and that was like years and years ago . and the women who thought like that, suffered generations of abuse and they thought this was acceptable. and no wonder you do too,Awoowe.

so how would i know? if you ask them half the time they dont know what is it and the other times they tell you what you want to hear.

hey all , i all be the only one who will answer fartun's friends' dilemma, sincerley. i heard my father giving advice to a family friend and what he said shocked me , he said " never marry three types of women 1- that is more educated then you ,2- one that is more intelligent then you 3- i cant remember the 3rd , i think it was one that has more wealth then you. because you will not have a lasting marriage, coz she'll be wearing the pants. " may be there are some Faraax's that live by that moto.

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY EVERYONE

man that sheikh never ceases to surprise me. he had me laughing on the floor , when he said on the egyptian tv that " muslims have more rights to be in Australia than anglos . because we paid for our airline ticket, whereas they came in shackles." im sure he sold a lot of news papers.

I find the comments that Lazie made, competely and utterly appalling. it is quite sad that we muslims are being apologetic for everything about islam , if we thought that was bad enough we have muslims believing this facade about terrorists. lazie know this , when you call a follow muslim a terrorist based on their appearence(beard) which is a sunnah, it is wrong and dont think you are accepted, by those kaafiirs that hold such views. i urge my follow SOLers to condemn the comments of Laziegirl and be counted.

certainly mothers have a significant role, although many do not appreciate their role.yes Aaliyah there are many hadiths like the one you quoted , that refer to how great mothers. and ibtisam, this post was a light-hearted way of refering to what mothers do, in this career-orientated world. in which what you do defines who you are.so easy sis.

To all you mums out there and mothers to be. A women named Emily renewing her driver’s license at the “Transport Office” was asked by the clerk to state her occupation. She hesitated, >> uncertain how to classify herself. >> “ What I mean is , explained the clerk , Do you have a job, or are you just a? ” >> >> “ Of course I have a job “ snapped Emily. >> >> “I’m a Mum.” >> >> “ We don’t have a list “Mum” as an occupation…….. ‘Housewife’ covers it,” said the clerk emphatically. I Forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same situation, this time at our local police station. The clerk was obviously a career women, and , efficient and possessed of a high sounding career title like , “Official Interrogator” or “Town Registrar.” “what is your occupation ?” she probed. What made me say it, I do not know…. The words simply popped out. “I’m a Research Associate in the field of child development and Human Relations.” The clerk paused, pen frozen in midair, looked up as though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly, emphasizing the most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire!. “Might I ask,” said the clerk with new interest, “just what do you do in your field?” Coolly, without any traces of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply. “I have a continuing programme of research, ( what mother doesn’t), in the laboratory and in the field , ( normally I would have said indoors and out). I’m working for my masters, ( the whole bloody family) and already have four credits, (all daughters). Of course ,the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities, ( any mother care to disagree.?) and I work 14 hours a day, ( 24 is more like it). But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money.” There was an increasing note of respect in the girl’s voice as she completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door. When I got home buoyed up with my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants – ages 10, 7 and 3. upstairs , I could hear our new experimental model , ( a 6 months old baby), in the child- development programme, testing out a new vocal pattern. I felt I triumphed over bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official records as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than “just another Mum.” Motherhood …..What a glorious career! Especially when there’s a title on the door. Does this make Grandmother? “Senior Research Associates in the field of child development and Human Relations” And Great grandmothers “Executive Senior Research Associates”??? I think so!!! I also think it make AUNTs “ Associate Research Assistants”. Author unknown………………….but very smart. ---------------------------------------------- i got this from my sister and i just love it and would like to circulate it. my new job title is " Associate Research Assistant"

im sick of this muslim bashing ,terrorist shit claims. so if they go take them to guantanomo bay what would they charge them with treason ?. what is the world come to ,somalis holding british/US passports are just defending their country and are not at war with US or its access of evils. bloody-hell nothing happened to those holding UK/US passports when they went and joined their people in the spainish inquisition or the Irish-americans that went to defend their country. this just goes to show the phoney war-on-terror is really war on islam and the time the prophet(saw) told us when the world would gather around muslims , like they would gather around a plate of food... is here. so there goes my rant for today...sigh
